00:00 This Diwali, we will impress our guests and make a dry mini samosa like the one you get in the market.
00:07 For the dry mini samosa, we will prepare the dough first.
00:15 For this, I have taken 1 cup refined flour, some carom seeds, salt to taste, 3 tbsp hot oil.
00:26 This process is very important to make a dry mini samosa. So, don't skip it.
00:30 Now, we will mix it well.
00:32 You can see the texture.
00:36 Now, we will add water little by little and knead a hard dough.
00:55 For 1 cup refined flour, I have added 1/4 cup water.
00:58 At last, we will add some oil.
01:03 Our dough is ready. Now, we will cover it with a wet cloth and keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes.
01:15 Till the time our dough is resting, we will make the filling for the samosa.
01:22 In a mixer grinder, I have taken 1/2 cup aloo bhujiya, 1/4 cup fried chana dal, 1 tsp chaat masala, 1 tbsp jeera, 1 tsp red chilli powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tbsp fennel seeds, 2 tbsp jaggery powder.
01:39 You can also use sugar. But jaggery powder gives a very nice taste.
01:43 We will grind all the ingredients.
01:47 Our mixture is ready. Now, we will add raisins, 1 tbsp tamarind pulp.
01:53 Tamarind paste and jaggery both give a very nice taste to the samosa.
01:58 Now, we will mix all the ingredients well.
02:01 The mixture of dry mini samosa is ready.
02:06 Now, we will make the samosa.
02:09 For making mini samosa, we will take a small dough ball.
02:14 We will make a small ball.
02:16 We will make a little longer ball.
02:25 Now, we will make a cut in the middle.
02:30 We will take a portion.
02:33 We will apply some water on the sides.
02:36 We will give it the shape of a mini samosa.
02:43 Now, we will add 1 tsp stuffing.
02:45 We will apply some water and seal the samosa.
02:51 In this way, we will make all the samosas.
03:02 In this way, we will make all the samosas.
03:04 Our samosas are ready. Now, we will fry them.
03:16 You can see that the oil is not hot enough.
03:20 We will add the samosas in the same oil.
03:23 We will add the samosas in the same oil.
03:25 Now, we will slow down the flame.
03:33 We will fry the samosas till they turn golden brown.
03:36 We will flip the samosas in between.
03:42 It has been 12 minutes and our samosas are ready.
03:52 They have turned golden brown.
03:54 You can store them in an airtight container for 1 minute.
