00:00 Well, it was all for the hug until I saw who was giving it.
00:03 Here's your look at the Mattel Matthew Universe Origins Snakeman Squeeze Evil Long-Armed Viper.
00:23 Squeeze constricts his victims out of their last breath with his enormously elongated
00:27 arms.
00:28 Instead of picking Squeeze's name for Secret Santa, stay away from anything that has sleeves.
00:32 Before we get a closer look at the Matthew Universe Origins Evil Snakeman Squeeze, let's
00:37 grab the tape measure and see how tall the figure stands.
00:39 While his proportions are clearly elongated for his arms, his body is about the same as
00:43 a regular Matthew Universe Origins body.
00:45 I'll be bringing a couple of Snakemen in for comparison sake in a second.
00:50 In the meantime though, Squeeze stands about 6 inches in height, or the figure is going
00:54 to be about 15 cm tall.
00:57 So where do we stand on Snakeman?
00:59 Well, let's bring in a couple of other Snakemen we've looked at in earlier reviews.
01:02 Here's what Squeeze looks like with Cobra Khan.
01:04 And Squeeze seems to be shorter than Cobra.
01:06 He's also what the figure looks like with Tongue Lasher.
01:08 It seems to be as well consistent that the figure is slightly smaller.
01:12 Here's what the figure as well looks like with Snakeface.
01:14 Here's what the figure as well looks like with Rattlore.
01:16 Rattlore always was the one I really don't look forward to bringing in because his tail
01:20 is always one thing that causes the figure to fall forward.
01:24 And then the last figure we have yet to still look at the other one figure.
01:27 I think King Hiss.
01:28 King Hiss was the other one we have yet to really pick up.
01:30 Here's also what the figure looks like with the Snakemen Horde Trooper.
01:34 While all the other snakes have slithered away, let's look at the stuff that comes
01:37 with Squeeze.
01:38 First, the figure comes included with a pamphlet.
01:39 What's on the pamphlet?
01:40 The secrets of the universe.
01:41 Actually no, the secrets at least of how to remove the things on Squeeze.
01:45 You can take off his very long arms.
01:47 You can also as well remove his lower torso, his boots, and his head.
01:50 Taking off his head is actually not that hard.
01:52 The figure's head sculpt is really loose.
01:54 We're going to talk more about that in a moment.
01:56 I have some good news to report is the fact that I haven't damaged the comic here.
01:59 The Fading Fortress also as well came included with Spikor.
02:02 It came also packed as well with Squeeze.
02:04 We'll see also the same thing also included as well for the Snakemen Infiltrator.
02:08 And the same could be said as well when we look at Serpent Claw Man-at-Arms.
02:13 Inside again, nicely colorful pages here.
02:15 I don't think we actually really got a chance to look at too many of the pages, but there's
02:18 Spikor Skeletor.
02:21 There's Man-at-Arms.
02:22 I really like the look of that Man-at-Arms.
02:24 And there's also Squeeze.
02:25 Now Squeeze has his pet snake.
02:27 That's also something that comes included with the figure as well.
02:28 Stay tuned.
02:29 We'll see that in a second.
02:30 But again, like nice, very, I mean, how many pages is that?
02:33 That's what, six pages?
02:34 One, two, three, four, yeah, five, six pages.
02:35 And then of course, there's advertisements always on the back to advertise the other
02:41 things that you as a collector and consumer can pick up at your local store.
02:46 Not here in Canada.
02:48 Not here in Canada.
02:49 The figure comes included with a pet snake.
02:51 The snake is molded here in a very hard plastic.
02:53 It's a pretty good looking snake.
02:55 For a second, it kind of reminded me of a sand, like a sand worm from Beetlejuice.
03:00 It's molded.
03:01 I mean, it's got no give to it whatsoever.
03:03 And the whole idea is he's supposed to hold this in his hand.
03:06 If you look at the advertisements, it's supposed to kind of slither or attach onto his arm
03:10 like this and then kind of clip inside his hand.
03:12 But what it does though is unfortunately adds a lot of unnecessary weight then to his shoulders.
03:16 So he always is holding his snake while it's got it on the ground.
03:19 Good luck trying to actually have him holding it up.
03:21 It just doesn't have... there's just too much weight involved to keep the snake in his hand.
03:26 So again, you're just probably going to have to hold it just in his hand.
03:28 Like, it looks almost like, oh, the poor dead snake looks like it's dead now.
03:33 It is again, an included accessory.
03:35 Probably not one I'm going to be displaying with the figure.
03:37 I mean, the figure does benefit to his credit.
03:39 He has the wireframe built into his arms, but even then, even then, bending the arms
03:44 and then trying to get the snake into his hand is, I mean, good luck doing that.
03:48 It's way too heavy for these shoulders.
03:50 These shoulders, I also noticed as well, were really loose on my figure.
03:53 Not nearly as loose though as his head.
03:55 His head is super loose and I don't really know why it had to be as loose as it is.
04:00 I mean, I'm looking at the ball joint.
04:01 The ball joint seems to be the same unless the inside socket is way too large.
04:06 I'm wondering, I'm almost debating the idea of putting a little bit of glue or nail polish
04:09 on the end of it to thicken up the ball joint.
04:11 I think ironically enough though, even though the character's name is Squeeze, I think in
04:15 the comics his name was Tanglor.
04:17 Tanglor, I think, makes more sense than calling the character Squeeze.
04:20 The colors are really good on this guy, but he seems proportionally a little bit shorter
04:24 than some of the other figures we've already had a look at.
04:26 Sort of in the way his head sculpt is sculpted, it actually kind of looks more like a lizard
04:30 than it does a viper.
04:31 Well, I guess you could really use the argument, "It's a reptile, it's a snake," but to me
04:35 it looks more like a lizard or even like a gecko than maybe like an actual snake.
04:40 The actual figure, again, when you're looking at his body proportions, even though he is
04:44 supposed to be a Master Universe figure, he kind of again looks like he's from a different
04:48 toy line altogether.
04:49 I mean, also one thing I probably may lead you to that conclusion is the fact that the
04:52 figure does have the very long arms.
04:55 Now the idea in mind is that you can wrap them around your other, say for example, you
04:59 had yourself on, I have He-Man here just onto the side here, you could for example have
05:02 Squeeze wrapped around He-Man and with the way that the arms are designed, you can actually
05:07 bring the arms around and they kind of clip in on themselves.
05:10 So you just clip them onto his forearms, you do the exact same thing then on the other
05:14 side and it kind of keeps everything self-contained or at least it keeps He-Man self-contained.
05:21 Longevity of this though, I don't know if that's going to start to cause problems where
05:24 it's going to damage the actual wire built inside the frame of the arms, but it's one
05:28 way of course to display the figure.
05:30 Again, to the credit, at least it actually does have a gimmick, whether you think the
05:34 gimmick is a little too long, I mean certainly for the fact he has really long arms, I do
05:38 at least like the idea that they gave him something a little bit, I mean obviously we
05:40 just looked at recently Spike-O and Spike-O had to unfortunately do away with his gimmick,
05:45 Squeeze can at least be proudly saying that he keeps his gimmick still intact.
05:49 Again we're just going to, like if you wanted to clip them around, you just take the arms
05:52 and like literally just clip them in like he's holding his own biceps.
05:54 You ever do that as a kid, kind of just put your arms, your hands around your biceps,
05:58 kind of feel how big they are?
06:00 Okay, I'm only speaking for a friend.
06:03 Anyways we're going to go ahead and take the arms and move them out of the way.
06:05 The coloring on this guy is actually really quite good, the paint is good on the top and
06:08 the bottom of his teeth.
06:09 I really like the way they've actually painted a very thin line of black in the middle of
06:13 his pupil.
06:14 Still though, I mean looking at it, it doesn't look to me as much like a Master Universe
06:17 figure of myself, but again like, I mean proportionately he does have the same sizing and one thing
06:22 you can also do as well with the figure, he was sort of already this way when you got
06:25 him in the packaging that his knees were slightly bent, so if you want to have him more looking
06:28 like the classic version of Squeeze, you can do that as well.
06:31 Personally for me, I prefer the idea of having the legs more straight.
06:34 Now he does have a little serpent symbol there in the middle of his chest, the coloring of
06:38 the purple looks really quite good with the bright neon lime color that he has for the
06:41 majority of his body.
06:42 Speaking of his body, one other thing I also really noticed is not only is his head really
06:46 really loose, but his torso seems very prone to detaching all the time.
06:50 I mean not to the point where if you're going to be moving it back and forth, other than
06:53 making a very loud, oof, horrible sound.
06:56 I did notice though that the lower half of his body does detach a little too easy for
07:00 my liking.
07:01 I don't know if I'm probably going to do anything to thicken that joint up at all.
07:04 But again like the coloring on him, he doesn't really have a whole lot of paint, he's got
07:07 it here on his gauntlets.
07:08 The gauntlets actually have little tiny serpents.
07:10 Can you actually see that or not?
07:12 Nice little touch.
07:13 And he also has some really bright orange that matches actually the coloring of the
07:16 gauntlets really nicely.
07:17 Some additional gray down below there on his leg guards, and the gray and the orange also
07:21 there for his boots.
07:22 The figure does have, like always the case, peg holes in the underside of his feet, so
07:25 of course you can attach them onto a display stand certainly if you wanted to.
07:28 Figure's articulation is going to be a little bit more limited obviously because he has
07:32 to lose something here.
07:34 He still has articulation here in the hands, so that's still the same as all the other
07:37 Massey Universe origins, but he unfortunately has to lose it here in the elbows.
07:41 He still has a wire frame which is good to see, but he doesn't have of course any articulation
07:44 bend in the elbows.
07:46 So starting first with his head.
07:47 Head's on a ball joint, you can move it up, down, back and forth.
07:50 I mean like look how loose that is.
07:52 That should not be as loose as it is.
07:54 I'm going to definitely have to try to fix that.
07:56 Waist is on a swivel and that's all you're going to get.
07:58 Arms rotate all the way around, all the way around and you can also hinge them out.
08:04 Now you can only bring them out so far.
08:06 I mean if you were to say look at the arms, just attach them so you can actually see.
08:10 There is no hinge actually on the shoulder section.
08:12 What it is only instead is just a peg and the peg plugs into the inner cavity of the
08:16 torso.
08:18 So you're only really going to get that much when it comes to his arms.
08:20 You really can't move them out at all.
08:22 And then of course from here all the way down to the bums of where his little wristlets,
08:27 wrist bracelets are, this is a wire frame that runs all the way down the length of it.
08:31 So of course you can also bend it backwards if you wanted to.
08:34 You can make yourself like a little serpent bicep if you wanted to.
08:37 Why do we keep talking about biceps?
08:38 Yeah again, swivel on the waist, the legs are on ball joints, you can bring them out.
08:42 You can take the legs and move forward and move them back.
08:44 There's only a very mild swivel at the top of the thigh.
08:46 Just move his arm out of the way.
08:48 Single hinge only in the knee but it allows the lower leg to rotate.
08:51 Still though, like everything on this guy is loose.
08:53 His head, his waist, his knees are very loose and also his boots.
08:58 Very loose when you spin them around.
08:59 And yes, they do also spin around.
09:00 He has an ankle hinge so you can move the ankles back and forth this way and you can
09:04 also rock them back and forth this way.
09:06 It's a good looking figure but he feels really loose though.
09:09 And again, like when you're getting this guy on display, the benefit of him is the fact
09:12 he still retains the gimmick.
09:14 The downside to him though is if you're looking to display him with say the other Snake Man.
09:18 So again we'll just kind of bring in a couple of Snake Men for right now.
09:20 I'm not bringing in Rattlor.
09:22 No way.
09:23 I'm not bringing in the other like the Horde Trooper Snake Man.
09:26 There's Tongue Lashor.
09:27 Still yet to pick up King Hiss.
09:29 I don't know what I'm doing.
09:30 What's causing me to delay picking up King Hiss?
09:32 Because then I can at least have up to date all the Snake Men.
09:36 Yet you do have to allot for a little bit more real estate space when you're having
09:39 the figures displayed all around Squeeze.
09:40 Just because again, like the sizing of his arms are going to take up a lot more space.
09:44 I'm glad to actually now say I have Squeeze as part of my collection but man, the figure
09:47 is going to be taking up a lot more space.
09:49 And unfortunately for mine at least, he is loose.
09:52 He's loose, too loose in the head, too loose in the legs, too loose in the knees.
09:56 And he is too loose at least I feel in his arms to even be able to properly hold his
09:59 pet snake.
10:00 I think I of course appreciate the fact that the figures would have come included with
10:04 their original vintage accessories but it just isn't going to cut it here for Squeeze
10:07 to hold it.
10:10 I suppose one workaround you could always have to have him properly hold the pet snake
10:14 is he actually could hold himself up by using one of his arms.
10:18 Basically again, just clipping on the hand onto any one of the areas of his wire-framed
10:23 arms can be enough at least to keep his other arm up.
10:26 Now that's going to look a little ridiculous like he's checking his own pulse but at
10:29 least it allows the figure to hold his arm upright because there's no way you'd be
10:33 able to do that otherwise with the snake also attached inside his hand.
10:37 I like again that they included the accessory but it basically makes the figure null and
10:40 void.
10:41 It makes the figure null and void anyways considering his arms are as long as they are.
10:44 You can't really have the arms always in an up position because of course it adds stress
10:48 then to the peg in the shoulder socket and then the arms are just ultimately going to
10:52 fall back onto the floor.
10:54 Still though I like the look of Squeeze.
10:56 I don't like the way he's constructed.
10:58 Now he's based again on the original vintage toy but along with the one that we got here
11:02 released now recently from Mattel, everything on the figure seemed loose.
11:06 Loose on mine.
11:07 Loose in the shoulders, loose especially in the head, the knees and the ankles and that
11:11 really shouldn't be the case for a figure that you immediately get out of the packaging.
11:15 The figure is obviously using some brand new tooling that wasn't present on any other figures.
11:19 I'm like looking at Squeeze right now and I can't see anything that's on the figure
11:23 that wasn't already featured on an earlier, I'm even thinking as well of the snake man.
11:27 I don't think anything body wise has been used from this figure to any other one before
11:31 him.
11:32 So Squeeze is of course utilizing his brand new mold.
11:35 Whether again we're going to be using this mold for any other future figures, time will
11:38 certainly tell.
11:39 I do like again the look of Squeeze but again he's just problematic when it comes to displaying
11:43 him.
11:44 What do you guys think of the figure?
11:45 Let me know down below in the comments section.
11:46 If you've managed as well to get Squeeze, which again I think he also in the comics
11:49 was known originally as Tanglor.
11:51 Tanglor sounds much cooler I feel than Squeeze.
11:54 But if you had both the original vintage figure or you're lucky enough to get yourself the
11:58 new Master Universe Origin Squeeze, let me know as well down below in the comments section
12:02 if you have anything that's loose on the figure and we can discuss, we can digest, we can
12:05 also be best friends.
12:06 Hey if you want to be also best friends, if you guys are enjoying the content, you certainly
12:10 would like to stick around.
12:11 First if you like the video, hit it with a like.
12:13 But if you're also loving the content and you want to stick around and see what's more
12:16 coming your way from the person behind the camera, make sure you hit the two crucial
12:20 steps of hitting that subscribe button as number one, turning on the bell notification
12:24 as number two and I guess as a possible three, make sure you're coming back as well.
12:27 We have wrapped up things, wrapped up things, ha no, no.
12:32 While we have finished up things here with Squeeze, we of course will also still be looking
12:35 at Snakeman Infiltrator and Serpent Claw Man-at-Arms.
12:39 Of course those videos will be coming your way.
12:41 As always guys, thanks for watching.
12:43 See you guys next time.
