00:00 Oh hi Vogue! I am Nicola Coughlin, I'm getting ready for Vogue World at the Savoy Hotel in
00:05 London. Come get ready with me.
00:14 We are at the Savoy Hotel, we're in a very beautiful suite that's got lots of things
00:17 going on at the minute. There's a station here where we've got my dress, we've got a
00:21 little hair station over here, a make-up station, and then the champagne station, the most important
00:26 station of them all.
00:27 This is my gorgeous stylist, Amy. We've wanted to work with Harris Reid for a while and this
00:32 feels like the right event for it.
00:33 We're so grateful because he had a show last night.
00:35 Yeah. Then we have the amazing Bernie, he's the most wonderful tailor in the world. We've
00:39 given you so many sore thumbs Bernie.
00:41 So many.
00:42 So many. A little worse but she's the best.
00:45 Over here we have the one and only Halle Brisker, sitting in his chair. Then we have the wonderful
00:50 Neil Young. The three of them working together is pretty magic.
00:53 This is what I'm wearing tonight. It's just like a casual look. I just feel like it's
01:01 very modern and very - I'm lying obviously. This is a lymphatic drainage massage suit.
01:06 This is like multitasking at its best. Also lying down when you have one of the world's
01:11 best make-up artists do your eyeliner. This is just delightful. This is like when you
01:16 get your blood pressure checked and it feels like it's squeezing and your arm's going to
01:19 fall off. It's like that but all over your body slash very, very nice. So not just the
01:25 face, getting ready the body too. It's great.
01:27 Fashion waits for no one so you just have to get on with the task. Kill two birds with
01:32 one stone.
01:33 Absolutely.
01:34 Alright, I think I feel squeezed enough. Should we get going?
01:36 Let's go.
01:37 Let's do it.
01:40 Because the dress is so beautiful and it's really versatile that you could really go
01:43 any way with the glam on this. We could have either gone really soft or really graphic
01:48 and this is such a cool look. It's such a statement but it's also quite soft and feminine
01:53 that I think this is like the right move to like counteract that a little bit.
01:57 The colours are quite romantic and the placement of blush is quite romantic and things like
02:01 that but then there's a toughness in it so there's a sort of graphic toughness to the
02:05 make-up as well in the liner.
02:08 Yeah.
02:09 To kind of give it that fashion-y vibe.
02:10 I think the look tonight is quite powerful. I think putting the dress on it sort of feels
02:15 a little bit like getting into a character because these kind of things you'd never wear
02:19 them in your day-to-day life. So when you put on like a really incredibly well-made
02:24 dress that's been designed for you it's such a special feeling. But yeah, I'm excited because
02:28 a lot of Harris' looks like the other day when we were fitting he was saying, you know,
02:32 this season we've designed for Cardi B, Beyonce and you and I was like one of these things
02:37 is not like the other. Like, okay.
02:39 But it just feels so cool to be wearing something that he's designed and it's such a beautiful
02:45 dress and then the headpiece just elevates it. I'm very excited to wear it.
02:52 When I was a kid growing up I used to make home movies and was a real perfectionist.
02:55 So my sister used to call me Spielberg and then now we use it as a term of people who
02:59 are like perfectionists and really care about intricate detail. These are all Spielbergs
03:03 that I work with. Like, everyone cares very much and works really, really hard. So it
03:10 always feels like a real little group project, doesn't it?
03:13 So we're pretty much done with hair and makeup now and I'm going to come and show you something
03:28 pretty special. So follow me in here. Let's go, let's go.
03:32 One of the iconic hallmarks of Harris' Read are these incredible headpieces, hats. This
03:37 one is extra special because this gold material here is recycled theatre curtains. So it's
03:43 so incredibly on theme for tonight and so cool. And the amazing Michelle Klaas, much
03:47 my nails. So we got the gold nails running through. When this goes on it just elevates
03:51 the look. It makes it so much more dramatic, so much more of a statement. The dress is
03:55 stunning in and of itself but this just takes it to a whole other level. So I'm excited
04:00 to put it on.
04:02 And this is the final look. I had to come out like a crab because this headpiece is
04:07 very large and I've been banging into door frames already so I will be crabbing around
04:11 all night around Vogue. They're like, "Who's that crab girl?" That's me.
04:15 This is one of my favourite things I've ever worn. It's so cool. It's so beautifully
04:19 made. It's so over the top, fun, gorgeous. I think the glam is perfect with it. It looks
04:26 better than I imagined it would look. It feels really cool and I feel like it needed to be
04:30 something of this scale to go to something like this. It has to be like, because I love
04:34 sitting at home watching these events and the spectacle of them. So now I feel like
04:39 I'm at least bringing something fun. Paris Reid, you're a genius. I'm excited to go
04:44 now. I feel like the nerves have abated somewhat. I just want to go and have fun in my big hat.
