00:00 London, we're trying to film, keep it down!
00:02 - Hey Vogue, I'm Taylor Zakhar Perez,
00:05 and you're gonna get ready with me for Vogue World.
00:07 Come on.
00:08 (classical music)
00:11 Anna Wintour and Edward, they took over Drury Lane.
00:17 There's singers, there's dancers, there's models,
00:20 there's actors, it's just gonna be
00:22 an incredible performance tonight.
00:24 First up, de-puffing these eyes,
00:26 and then I gotta get a haircut, so Ben,
00:29 good to see you.
00:30 - Good to see you.
00:31 - Let's get this off.
00:32 (upbeat music)
00:35 - Ben and I met in Milan this year, 2023.
00:40 We were doing the Prada show.
00:42 My first fashion week, something I've thought about
00:44 since I was a kid.
00:45 I started modeling when I was like 14, I think,
00:47 and so you kind of, that's what you always saw
00:50 the older models doing, and you're like,
00:52 oh, that's so cool, but I chose the acting path,
00:55 and now it's kind of interesting how it's like
00:56 come back around.
00:58 - Do you wanna have a quick--
00:59 - Yeah, a little rinse.
01:00 - Rinse.
01:01 - All right, let's rinse it off.
01:02 (upbeat music)
01:04 I think my dad bought me a GQ magazine when I was a kid.
01:14 I wanted to cut my hair in a way that I don't think
01:17 he understood, and so then he bought me this magazine
01:20 and was like, here, check this out, GQ,
01:22 and then I think we cut the page out,
01:24 and we took it to the person to cut my hair,
01:26 and they did a shit job, and learned from there.
01:28 I think that's when I was like, oh, okay,
01:30 it's kind of like a handbook.
01:32 (upbeat music)
01:33 Jason Bouldin, who's a friend of mine and is my stylist,
01:36 and we create together, and he has definitely opened
01:39 my eyes to more designers, and just because they're not
01:44 selling in the giant stores doesn't mean they're not
01:47 going to be, and he's like, you should look at these
01:50 young and upcoming designers.
01:51 So this event tonight is fashion of theater,
01:54 and so when I was looking at stuff with Harry for this
01:57 and Jason, we were like, okay, what makes it feel like
02:00 it's a night out at the theater celebrating it,
02:02 but still feels fashion, but also kind of feels
02:04 a little British.
02:05 One of the outfits that I'm wearing tonight is by
02:06 a British designer, his name's Daniel Fletcher.
02:09 (upbeat music)
02:10 When I'm making fashion choices, I think what's important
02:13 is actually having that face time with the fashion house
02:17 or with the designer, especially for me,
02:19 sustainability's very important, and so you want to make
02:23 sure that, are they adopting new manufacturing processes,
02:27 and that's exciting for me, when fashion brands take tech
02:32 and incorporate it into their, from farm to fashion.
02:37 Yeah, I'm in a super fortunate position because I've been
02:40 able to visit, I went to a sheep farm in Australia
02:43 earlier this year, and I got to see, meet the farmers
02:47 who run the land and the animals, and they said,
02:50 I think 250 people touch a garment before it gets to us.
02:55 It starts at the top, and so these top brands,
02:58 they start caring about the environment and creating
03:01 more sustainability, environmentally and socially.
03:04 It changes the world.
03:05 (upbeat music)
03:08 It's my first London Fashion Week.
03:11 When Anna Wintour and Edward ask you to be a part
03:15 of something, you say yes.
03:17 I have a rehearsal in like 15 minutes,
03:19 so we gotta try some stuff on.
03:22 (upbeat music)
03:24 Right, car is here.
03:36 - Let's do it.
03:37 - We are slightly fashionably late.
03:41 Okay, honestly, I think this is the most nerve-wracking part
03:43 of the entire night, is getting to the event.
03:47 - Are you excited?
03:47 This is gonna be your West End debut.
03:49 - Yeah, it's my West End debut at the Vogue World event.
03:54 I'm definitely a little intimidated.
03:56 I grew up watching a lot of these actors
03:57 that I'm gonna be with, and so being a part of something
04:00 with them is very exciting.
04:01 You know, it gives you like the butterflies,
04:02 and I think when you stop getting the butterflies,
04:06 something's wrong.
04:07 I might be starstruck by some style icons tonight.
04:10 Ah, one night only.
04:12 I think that's us.
04:16 All right, thank you so much for getting ready with me, Vogue.
04:20 (car horn honking)
04:22 And I think I gotta get out of this car,
04:23 but I'll see you guys at the event.
04:25 (upbeat music)
04:28 (upbeat music)
04:30 (upbeat music)
04:33 (upbeat music)
04:35 (upbeat music)
04:38 (upbeat music)
04:41 (upbeat music)
