00:00 I'm directing the shot, it's awesome.
00:02 We love it.
00:03 Give me punk, let's see punk.
00:04 More aggression.
00:05 Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:07 Well, good luck.
00:08 [laughing]
00:09 - I just got directed by Baz Luhrmann.

00:14 Hi Vogue.
00:17 Today I'm going to the Vogue World Show.
00:20 It is my first ever runway show today.
00:23 Come on in and see how I get ready.
00:25 [upbeat music]
00:27 The first thing that I do when I get up in the morning,
00:29 I usually brush my teeth, wash my face,
00:33 put a little bit of makeup on,
00:34 but nothing too heavy for things like this.
00:37 I'll do a little concealer.
00:38 Just 'cause I have 23 year old skin.
00:43 It's not always the nicest to you.
00:45 It always is the way that right before one of these gigs
00:50 and things, my skin always breaks out.
00:52 It's always like perfect three days before
00:54 and then breaks out, or in this case, I had to fly here.
00:58 And so I have airplane skin.
01:00 It's terrible.
01:02 Haven't used eyeliner in years.
01:03 I always use eyeshadow.
01:05 And I just put it in the corners of my eyes.
01:08 It just like makes my eyes look a little bit bigger,
01:10 I think.
01:11 And I honestly just don't like shoving a pencil in my eye
01:14 so early in the morning.
01:15 And it's just a really easy way to make your eyes pop.
01:20 [upbeat music]
01:24 [upbeat music]
01:27 I think an earring adds something to any look.
01:32 I really like doing kind of mismatched.
01:34 Today I'm just gonna do one
01:35 'cause I think it's kind of funky.
01:37 Saves me having to take off a bunch of jewelry
01:39 when I get there as well.
01:40 And I love layering up my necklaces.
01:44 We're gonna do two today.
01:46 I think it adds a lot of interest to the outfit
01:51 to have a couple.
01:52 So I do that.
01:54 And I'm a silver person.
01:55 So I like the silver and the little sparkle.
01:58 And yeah, that's the jewelry that I'm wearing.
02:00 I came across the Vogue Open Casting on TikTok.
02:04 I was seeing some videos about it
02:06 and I reached out to my agents at Ford.
02:09 They were like, "Yeah, go for it.
02:11 "You should definitely apply for this."
02:12 And so I kind of sent my application out
02:14 into what felt like the ether.
02:17 And I was waiting and I was waiting
02:18 and I was like, "There's no way this is gonna work out."
02:21 I was in complete denial
02:23 that I had any chance of ever making it.
02:26 And I got an email one morning that I had gotten in
02:31 and I was so excited.
02:35 And I was out in my room at home
02:37 and I ran into the house and no one was home.
02:41 So I sat on the couch very patiently
02:44 waiting for my parents to get back from walking our dog.
02:47 They came in the door and I was like,
02:48 "Guys, I have some news."
02:51 And then I made them listen to Madonna's Vogue
02:53 like three times.
02:55 I am non-binary and that's a unique perspective
02:58 in the modeling world.
03:00 It's kind of coming onto the scene
03:02 as an option that you can be as a model.
03:06 They were looking for diversity and new perspectives.
03:09 And I think that that definitely is a new perspective
03:12 that I have to offer.
03:13 All right, guys, it is now...
03:20 Oh, it's 7 a.m.
03:22 We gotta get going, grab a bite to eat before the show
03:25 'cause my call time's at 8.30.
03:27 A lot of people have asked me what my dream designers are.
03:35 And I'm like, "Any designer, anyone."
03:37 It's kind of weird.
03:38 Like three days ago,
03:40 I was working as a waitress in a restaurant
03:43 and now I am at Vogue World.
03:46 I feel like I'm living in two different worlds
03:49 a little bit.
03:50 (upbeat music)
03:52 I love bacon.
03:59 I think there is this kind of idea
04:02 that models don't eat anything,
04:05 which I think is ridiculous.
04:06 It ends up being like a 12 to 14 hour workday
04:10 when you're doing these things and you gotta eat for that.
04:13 I'm not gonna not eat my side of bacon.
04:16 I need my side of bacon.
04:19 I think my advice to aspiring models is just be yourself.
04:23 I feel like a long time ago,
04:24 there was an era of modeling where they were looking
04:27 for one rote person, one body, one face, one everything.
04:32 And it's really changed now.
04:34 They're looking for people with a personality,
04:37 with a history, with a story to tell.
04:40 And so emphasizing that I think is really important
04:44 and just seizing every opportunity that comes your way.
04:47 (upbeat music)
04:50 I feel like a lot of people talk about how it's not
05:00 as glamorous as it might seem,
05:02 but getting your makeup done and your hair done
05:05 surrounded by a bunch of models,
05:06 it definitely is very glamorous.

05:36 that I've been watching on Diary of a Model,
05:38 I saw so many of them out there and I'm just like,

06:04 they might bleach them, but they're not gonna bleach them.
06:06 For the show there's three sections.
06:09 I'm in the punk section, which I believe is going first.
06:12 I'm wearing Vivienne Westwood, which is very exciting.
06:14 I love Vivienne Westwood.
06:16 Yeah, and I'm wearing just like leggings and a little top
06:19 and a kilt style skirt with these big, white,
