Learn the recipe of how to make Besan Chilla at home with The Bombay Chef - Varun Inamdar on Rajshri Food.

Tomato Omelette or Besan Chilla is a gram flour pancake with veggies and spices in it. It is a quick and easy snack recipe that you can enjoy with a hot cup of tea. Do give it a try and share your feedback in the comments below.

Ingredients:
1.5 cups Gram Flour, sieved
1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
1 tsp green chilly, finely chopped
1/4 cup Tomato, finely chopped
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp ginger, grated
Ghee or oil as required

Method:
In a bowl of gram flour, add all the veggies, spices, salt and give it a mix.
Add water, and ensure there are no lumps formed.
Heat a pan and brush oil on it.
Once the oil is hot add a ladle full of batter and spread it.
Let it cook on medium flame, and once you notice bubbles on it apply some oil and give it a flip.
Allow it to cook on another side for a minute and give it a flip.
Transfer it to a serving plate and our Besan Chilla's are ready.
