Malvani fish curry is a spicy fish dish with tomato & coconut-based gravy. The rohu fish is marinated in turmeric powder and salt before being fried golden in oil. After that, the fried fish is cooked in a spiced tomato onion gravy. As a result, the fish is tender and has absorbed the wonderful flavours of the gravy. This fish curry goes best with hot steamed rice.

4-5 Dry Red Chillies
1/4 cup Paste of coriander leaves, Green chillies, Ginger & Garlic
11/2 tbsp Coriander Seeds Powder
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
Water (as required)
Curry Preparation
3-4 tbsp Oil
1/2 Onion (chopped)
1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
11/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2 tsp Garam Masala
1/2 kg Rohu (marinated with turmeric, red chilli powder and lemon juice)
Water (as required)
Salt (as per taste)
5-6 Garcinia indica (kokum)
