Fish Cutlets is an easy and quick Indian starter recipe where the Pomfret fish is boiled and mashed along with potatoes and spices. Then it is shallow fried till golden brown. This cutlet is a great snack during house parties.

Ingredients:

To Boil The Fish
1 Pomfret Fish
1/2 tsp Oil
1/4th tsp Ginger Garlic
Salt to taste
Water

For Cutlets
3 Potatoes, boiled
Coriander Leaves
1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
2 Green chillies
Salt to taste
1 Egg, beaten
Bread Crumbs

Method:

- To boil the fish in a sauce pan add very little oil. Then add ginger garlic paste, salt, fish pieces and water.
- Give a stir. Let the fish cook properly.
- Once it is cooked remove it and allow it to cool down.
- Discard the bones and keep the flesh aside.
- In a large bowl add the boiled potatoes, coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste, green chillies, fish pieces and salt.
- Mix everything well.
- Make small portions of the mixture and give it a flat round shape.
- Dip this cutlet in the beaten egg and then roll it in bread crumbs. Similarly make all the cutlets.
- Heat some oil for shallow frying. Shallow fry the cutlets on golden brown color.
- Serve the cutlets with mint chutney or tomato sauce.
