00:00It is now time for the Gainesville guests of the week,
00:02and I'm very happy to introduce Maggie Sweet.
00:05She is the Executive Director
00:07for the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation.
00:10We often get horses who have been through
00:12a number of other aftercare organizations.
00:16I think the ideal timeline of a horse is,
00:19you know, say five years on the racetrack,
00:21then you go on to a second athletic career,
00:23then maybe you step down to, you know,
00:26you're a lesson horse,
00:28and then you've got a 15-year-old
00:30who suddenly there's no place for that horse to go,
00:33and the horse still has 15 years of life.
00:35The guest of the week is brought to you by Gainesway,
00:38home to four new stallions this year,
00:40including Chargit.
00:42Chargit registered buyer speed figures
00:45of 100 or higher on four occasions.
00:48He won the grade three one-mile guire
00:50by an outstanding 23 lengths,
00:53earning a career-best 111 buyer speed figure.
00:57Chargit also posted 106 buyer
01:00in the grade two suburban stakes at a mile and a quarter,
01:03with a four and a three-quarter length victory there,
01:06tying the highest figure of all horses
01:09going that distance in 2023.
01:12A dominating multiple-graded stakes winner,
01:15the son of Tapit, stands at Gainesway for initial fee,
01:18this is a bargain basement fee, of $12,500.
01:23Gainesway, power, passion, performance.
