A manager of a travel agency has been sentenced to a total of 14 years and six months in jail and six strokes of the cane by the Kota Baru Sessions Court on Tuesday (Feb 25) after pleading guilty to seven charges, including possession of firearms.

00:45Hafizul also possessed three identification cards belonging to three individuals and drove
00:51a car with a fake registration number.
00:54All the offences were committed in the car in the compound of a hospital in Kota Bharu
00:59in April last year.
01:01All in all, Hafizul will serve six years in jail.
01:05The accused is facing two more charges at the Sepang Sessions Court.
01:09In the case that generated extensive media attention, the accused allegedly attempted
01:14to murder his wife at Terminal 1 of the Kuala Lumpur International Airport a day before
01:19his arrest.
01:21He was charged for attempted murder and voluntarily causing grievous harm to his wife's bodyguard
01:26by using a firearm during the shooting rampage.
