Here’s the recipe for crispy battered fried pork, an easy and delicious dish you can make at home. You can choose between crispy batter (smooth crispy) or panko crumbs (extra crunchy).
Ingredients:
300g pork (tenderloin or pork belly)
1 egg
50g crispy frying flour (or panko breadcrumbs for a crunchier texture)
30g cornstarch or all-purpose flour
1 tsp minced garlic
1 tsp fish sauce
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp seasoning powder (optional)
Cooking oil
Instructions:
Prepare the pork:
Wash the pork and slice it into thin pieces (about 1 cm thick).
Marinate with garlic, fish sauce, black pepper, and seasoning powder. Let it sit for 15–20 minutes.
Prepare the batter:
Crack the egg into a bowl and beat well.
Place the frying flour in a separate dish. If using panko crumbs, prepare a separate plate for them.
Coat the pork:
First, coat the pork in cornstarch or all-purpose flour (to help the batter stick better).
Dip it into the beaten egg.
Finally, coat it with crispy frying flour or panko breadcrumbs.
Deep-fry:
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, then fry the pork pieces until golden and crispy.
Remove and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
Serve:
Enjoy with chili sauce, mayonnaise, or sweet and sour fish sauce.
Hope you enjoy your crispy battered fried pork! 🍽️ Would you like to pair it with a side dish? 😊
