00:18Feel the mountain, at the Vermilion Museum, a sensory room without a barrier.
00:23A difficult year in Italy for the effects of the climate crisis.
00:27For the third consecutive year, more than 300 extreme weather events have hit the peninsula, reaching 351.
00:34An inconstant number of growth in the last 10 years.
00:38In 2024, an increase in extreme weather events of almost 6 times is recorded,
00:43a plus 485 percent compared to 2015, when 60 were recorded.
00:47The increase in damage from prolonged drought, plus 54.5 percent compared to 2023,
00:53from flooding, plus 24 percent, and from flooding due to heavy rains, plus 12 percent.
00:59This is the end-of-year balance sheet under the Climate Profile,
01:03drawn from the Climate-Environment City Observatory and carried out in collaboration with the Unipol group.
01:08More in detail, Northern Italy is the most affected, with 198 cases,
01:12followed by the south, 92 cases, and the center, 61.
01:16At the regional level this year, Emilia-Romagna, with 52 cases,
01:20is the region most affected by the climate crisis,
01:24while Sicily is the one that has suffered the most for drought.
01:28Among the provinces, Bologna ranks first, with 17 extreme weather events.
01:32Among the big cities, the capital is the most affected.
01:43Inclusive and accessible for everyone.
01:47For La Val-di-Sole, to affirm itself more and more as a non-barrier destination
01:51is a commitment carried out through concrete actions.
01:54Among these, the realization of a sensory room inside the Museo della Guerra Bianca di Vermiglio,
02:00which also offers the opportunity to people with visual disabilities
02:04to be projected into the life of a soldier on the front.
02:07The initiative, called Caramamma, is part of the project Sentire la Montagna,
02:12which, together with the municipalities of Val di Sole and Madonna di Campiglio,
02:16have joined the provincial band Trentino per tutti,
02:19promoted by the Autonomous Province of Trento.
02:22Making an accessible destination means reasoning according to the criteria
02:25and logic of inclusive design,
02:28so from the beginning think about experiences, products or attractions such as museums for everyone.
02:33The project Sentire la Montagna with Caramamma works precisely on this,
02:36not only to adapt existing proposals, but from the beginning
02:39to build an experience that is inclusive and accessible for everyone.
02:43Entering the immersive room inside the museum,
02:47visitors will be able to completely immerse themselves in the story of a soldier of the First World War
02:52who, in a complicated fringe of conflict, decides to write an intense and deep letter to his mother.
02:58Words, sounds and lights will allow the viewer to live an engaging and intense moment.
03:04The Museo della Guerra Bianca di Vermiglio is an important part of our history.
03:09Here we find all the findings that lead us to a moment of suffering that is part of our community.
03:20It is also a lesson to move forward.
03:24What can you learn here?
03:27You learn and see what the suffering of those years was for a community,
03:32but it is also a good message.
03:34The war hurts, we have to move on and look for a teaching and a lesson for the future.
03:44It is always important to have moments of peace and with this memory,
03:49memory is very important and we start from here, we launch this message of peace.
03:53The Caramamma initiative follows the creation of other sensory rooms
03:58inside the Museo della Civiltà Solandra di Malè,
04:00which is now fully accessible to people with motor and visual disabilities.
