A 75-year-old man was killed in a road accident involving a car and a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) at KM76 on Jalan Johor Baru-Ayer Hitam, Kluang.

Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh said the accident occurred at 2.30pm on Friday (Jan 3).

00:19Initial investigations revealed that the 75-year-old man lost control of his car while traveling
00:25from Macap to Simpang Renggam.
00:28The vehicle veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with an MPV.
00:33The driver of the car suffered severe head and bodily injuries and was pronounced dead
00:38at the scene.
00:39ACP Bahrin said, meanwhile, the MPV driver, a 42-year-old man, along with his passengers,
00:46sustained minor injuries.
00:48The MPV included three Singaporean women and five locals, aged between 58 and 91.
00:55All injured parties received medical treatment at a private clinic in Simpang Renggam.
