00:00Bismillah-e-Rahman-e-Rahim, Allah-Tabarak-Wa-Ta'ala-K-e-Pakizah
00:08Dars-e-Bukhari-Ka-Silsila-Kitab-ul-Hadiyah-Tak-Poncha-Ata-Kitab-ul-Hiba-Wa-Fadliha
00:16Tofah-e-Dene-Wa-Fazeelat-Ka-Baab
00:20In this part of the book, Imam Bukhari will talk about the Sunnah of giving gifts
00:28and its excellence.
00:30This has been mentioned in many hadiths and will continue to be mentioned.
00:36No matter how low the price of a gift is,
00:42you should accept it for the sake of your Muslim brother.
00:46Now this chapter has been established,
00:49Babu Manis Tasqawa Jisne Pani Ya Dood Talab Kiya
00:54i.e. the father of the person who asked for water or milk.
00:58In this there is hadith number 2571
01:02and its narrator is Hazrat Anas R.A.
01:07He states that the Prophet
01:10came to our house and asked for water.
01:15We brought out goat milk for him.
01:20Then I mixed the water of this well in it and gave it to him.
01:29Hazrat Abu Bakr R.A. was sitting on his left
01:35and Hazrat Umar-e-Farooq R.A. was in front of him.
01:39And there was an Arab, i.e. a villager,
01:42who was sitting on his right.
01:45When he drank the milk and became free,
01:48Hazrat Umar-e-Farooq R.A. said,
01:51Hazrat Abu Bakr R.A. is sitting here,
01:54and you are sitting there.
01:57But the Prophet gave his remaining milk to that Arab
02:03and said that the one on the right is first.
02:07i.e. he will get the first chance.
02:09Listen and start with the one on the right.
02:12Hazrat Anas R.A. said three times that this is the Sunnah.
02:16So we learned a few things from this.
02:18First, the Prophet came and asked for water.
02:21As I said earlier, sometimes it happens that
02:24if a religious leader or a great personality
02:27comes to our house and asks for something,
02:30then the followers themselves,
02:32who are obedient and obedient,
02:34they feel happy.
02:36And they want a person to come and tell them.
02:39And this often happens in religious matters.
02:42And sometimes it is just the opposite,
02:44that a person says that it is good if this person does not come.
02:47But such religious personalities,
02:50such as Ulema, Muftis,
02:53or teachers who teach children the Holy Qur'an.
02:57Similarly, there is a Pir-e-Kamil,
02:59who is a scholar, and Mashallah, he is practical.
03:02He comes to the house of a disciple.
03:04So it often happens that such people
03:06are very formal.
03:08People say that they do not eat.
03:10But when they themselves say that give us something,
03:13and the other person can afford it,
03:15then they feel very happy.
03:17So the Messenger of Allah came to his servant.
03:20Ghulam means the whole Ummah,
03:22in terms of your servanthood.
03:24Otherwise, Hazrat Anas R.A. said,
03:26come to our house.
03:28So you were not really his servant.
03:30But the government came to him
03:32and asked for water.
03:34So this makes you feel happy.
03:36And the second thing is that
03:38the question you have to ask,
03:40this is not always forbidden.
03:43I have told you many times
03:45that two types of questions will often be forbidden.
03:48One is that in the answer to the question
03:50you have to be humiliated.
03:52Like most of these Fuqara, who are professional,
03:55they ask and they have to be humiliated again and again.
03:58Or like this, a person becomes a habit of asking.
04:01They may not be professional,
04:03but they are often in classes,
04:05colleges and universities,
04:07at home, in the neighborhood,
04:09asking for a cigarette, this and that.
04:11They keep asking for it,
04:13so much so that people get very upset with them.
04:15In fact, they even pass some bad comments on them.
04:17But they are so stubborn,
04:19they say, say it, but give me tea.
04:21So this type of question is also forbidden.
04:23And the second is more than necessary.
04:25That just to increase wealth,
04:27to save your own wealth,
04:29to survive in this world,
04:31to keep asking questions,
04:33whether someone is humiliated or not,
04:35but to ask more than necessary
04:37to get wealth,
04:39to increase wealth,
04:41or to save my wealth,
04:43so that I can survive,
04:45this is also forbidden.
04:47And I had told you about this
04:49that the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him,
04:51said that those who keep asking questions
04:53in front of people without any need,
04:55then on the Day of Resurrection,
04:57they will be humiliated.
04:59They will be humiliated.
05:01And when the companions asked,
05:03what is the need of the Prophet?
05:05The Prophet said, food for the next time.
05:07That is, if you do not have
05:09food for the next time,
05:11then if he is not able to
05:13earn on his own,
05:15then he can ask for it.
05:17Otherwise, that is also not permissible for him.
05:19If he can earn,
05:21if he can survive by selling something,
05:23then he will do it.
05:25The situation is that
05:27these are proficient people
05:29and they keep asking continuously
05:31and they have a good bank balance.
05:33If they do not have it,
05:35then those who have it,
05:37they take it from them.
05:39And they are asking more questions than necessary.
05:41It is a sin to give them,
05:43and it is a sin to ask for them.
05:45Allah Almighty clearly forbade
05:47co-operation on righteousness and piety,
05:49and do not co-operate on sin and aggression.
05:51Co-operate with each other
05:53and do not co-operate
05:55on sin and excess.
05:57Some people stop cars
05:59and give it to these proficient people
06:01and think that they have become
06:03very high in rank.
06:05You have committed a sin
06:07and you will have to answer
06:09for this sin in the hereafter.
06:11If you had not given it,
06:13it would have been good.
06:15You gave it and got stuck.
06:17You say that it is possible
06:19that it is really necessary.
06:21We should not be so naive.
06:23These are the proficient people.
06:25It is a sin to give them.
06:27It is the same
06:29if a friend has asked for
06:31something from someone
06:33or parents sometimes ask
06:35for something from their children
06:37or a guest comes and asks for something.
06:39In this, there are no two things.
06:41Neither is it necessary to be humiliated
06:43nor is there a situation of asking
06:45for more out of greed.
06:47So this condition is permissible
06:49When he asked for water,
06:51he said that we have brought goat's milk
06:53for you by adding water from the well.
06:55So that the heat in the goat's milk
06:57is reduced.
06:59The water in the well will be cold
07:01and the government drank it.
07:03Remember that
07:05drinking goat's milk
07:07was proven by the Prophet
07:09and
07:11whatever food
07:13the Prophet
07:15used
07:17will definitely be beneficial.
07:19There will be many benefits in it.
07:21Otherwise, the Prophet
07:23generally
07:25does not consume
07:27anything harmful.
07:29This means that goat's milk
07:31has many benefits.
07:33It is blessed to drink it
07:35with water.
07:37If you drink it with the intention of Sunnah,
07:39God willing, you will get reward.
07:41Then the Prophet
07:43described a principle of giving a gift
07:45If there are three people in front of you,
07:47one is sitting in front of you,
07:49one is on the right and one is on the left
07:51and if you want to give something,
07:53the one on the right
07:55will be given first.
07:57Now the situation here was that
07:59Umar-e-Farooq was in front of him
08:01and on this side was
08:03Hazrat-e-Siddiq-e-Akbar.
08:05And these two companions
08:07of the Prophet
08:09had a great status
08:11and were close companions.
08:13They were very secretive
08:15and understood
08:17the temperament of the government.
08:19Therefore, when the Prophet
08:21drank the milk,
08:23Hazrat-e-Umar-e-Farooq
08:25requested Hazrat-e-Abu-Bakr
08:27but the government said
08:29that he is on the right side
08:31and the one on the right is given first.
08:33It is Sunnah to give it to him.
08:35This means that
08:37if there is a person
08:39with a higher rank on this side
08:41and a lower rank on the other side
08:43but the Prophet
08:45instructed to be courteous.
08:47Yes, it was a different matter
08:49that if he was an Arab
08:51and said that I will take it
08:53and you give it to him first
08:55then he did it for him.
08:57Now we should also do the same
08:59that for example,
09:01if you are sitting on this side
09:03and there is another person
09:05sitting on this side
09:07but he wants to give it to you
09:09and you give it to him.
09:11This is a good thing.
09:13If a religious scholar or a Mufti
09:15does this for him,
09:17then it is good manners.
09:19But if this is not the case
09:21and for example,
09:23if there is a person
09:25with a higher rank on this side
09:27and a younger person
09:29on the other side
09:31then if he does not want
09:33to give it to the younger person
09:35then there is no problem.
09:37For example,
09:39there was a great Companion
09:41on this side
09:43and the Prophet
09:45asked him
09:47if he can give it to him
09:49and he said
09:51no, I cannot give it to anyone
09:53on your honor.
09:55So, he gave it to him.
09:57If you give it to a child
09:59then it is a good manner.
10:01Now,
10:03did Siddique Akbar
10:05get angry?
10:07I am sure he did not.
10:09So, our elders should understand
10:11that there are good manners
10:13and Sunnah
10:15especially those
10:17which the Prophet
10:19said practically
10:21and verbally.
10:23If it is being said practically
10:25then it should not be
10:27a matter of ego.
10:29It should not be thought
10:31that for example
10:33he gave it to a child
10:35and he got angry
10:37that he gave it to me
10:39and the Prophet got angry
10:41or later he got angry
10:43that why did you take it
10:45when we were not present.
10:47This is wrong.
10:49If an elder is distributing
10:51Tabarruk
10:53then it is Sunnah
10:55to give it to the person
10:57on the right side
10:59and to express anger
11:01or if you
11:03want to do the same
11:05then you should
11:07give such a Hadith to the people
11:09so that they do not have
11:11any doubt
11:13and in this matter
11:15they do not have
11:17any doubt
11:19or doubt
11:21because not all Hadiths
11:23are like this.
11:25You gave this Hadith to the person
11:27on the right side
11:29and you sent him to get angry
11:31but we also had a role
11:33that if we had mentioned that Hadith
11:35to the people
11:37then people would have
11:39prepared themselves
11:41and if you had given it
11:43then it would have become
11:45a good introduction
11:47and it would not have
11:49created a bad atmosphere.
11:51Coming to the next chapter
11:53the chapter of accepting
11:55the gift of hunting.
11:57This is a pure Hadith
11:59and Hazrat Anas bin Malik
12:01narrates that
12:03we followed
12:05a rabbit
12:07in the name of
12:09a place
12:11people ran after it
12:13and got tired
12:15but I caught it
12:17then I brought it to
12:19Hazrat Abu Talha
12:21he slaughtered it
12:23and the back part
12:25and its meat
12:27was sent to the Prophet
12:29peace be upon him
12:31he accepted it
12:33the narrator says
12:35I asked
12:37did the Prophet
12:39eat anything from it
12:41he said no
12:43yes you ate from it
12:45then later he said
12:47you accepted the gift
12:49I asked did you eat from it
12:51he said yes
12:53then later he said
12:55you accepted it
12:57first the Prophet took it
12:59but did not eat it
13:01later he accepted it
13:03so this means
13:05that it is permissible to catch a rabbit
13:07it is a wild rabbit
13:09we cannot catch a rabbit
13:11that is raised
13:13suppose the rabbits are like this
13:15especially in villages
13:17they make a hole in the ground
13:19and go to other people's fields
13:21if you are sure
13:23that it is someone's animal
13:25then you cannot catch it
13:27nor can you eat it
13:29this is the command of Luqt
13:31Luqt means
13:33something that has fallen
13:35and I have already told you
13:37that if you get something
13:39that has fallen
13:41then it is a sin
13:43to take it in your possession
13:45and if you take it with the intention
13:47that I will find the real owner
13:49then it is a good deed
13:51if you take it
13:53then it is necessary
13:55to announce it
13:57till you are sure
13:59that the owner is disappointed
14:01if you are sure
14:03that he is disappointed
14:05then you can use it
14:07or give it to the real owner
14:09but you cannot
14:11use it
14:13with the intention
14:15that I will use it
14:17I don't expect
14:19that he will get a lesson
14:21his intention is
14:23that he is proud of his sin
14:25that he has killed
14:27so many pigeons
14:29if you kill a pigeon
14:31suppose you are fighting
14:33and you have killed a pigeon
14:35this is a robbery
14:37and if it happens
14:39that someone's pigeon
14:41has fallen on your roof
14:43then it is a trust
14:45and if you don't kill it
14:47then it is necessary
14:49to find the real owner
14:51and sometimes we know
14:53whose pigeon it is
14:55and we get angry
14:57and we have to give
14:59the account of all this
15:01in the hereafter
15:03how many pigeons
15:05will be there
15:0710,000, 20,000
15:09it is a good pigeon
15:11you can use it
15:13suppose a rabbit
15:15has come out
15:17and you killed it
15:19and you are very happy
15:21that you killed it
15:23by using a haram thing
15:25that you have killed
15:27a Muslim's property
15:29first of all,
15:31eating is haram
15:33second,
15:35expressing happiness
15:37on this haram
15:39if someone
15:41steals
15:43Allah has
15:45commanded to cut the hands
15:47of a thief
15:49this is a haram
15:51and expressing happiness
15:53on haram
15:55and allowing it
15:57in a joke
15:59is out of Islam
16:01renewing of faith
16:03and marriage is necessary
16:05and if it is considered haram
16:07then it is a grave sin
16:09and you have to pay the price
16:11keep this in mind
16:13but the wild rabbits
16:15which are in the land
16:17which are not kept by anyone
16:19they are in the jungle
16:21in the desert
16:23you can catch them
16:25it means
16:27if you see a rabbit
16:29you can catch it
16:31and eat it
16:33and you can say
16:35that it is a Sunnah of the companions
16:37because Hazrat Anas was small
16:39he could run fast
16:41so he ran fast
16:43he caught the rabbit
16:45and brought it to Hazrat Abu Talha
16:47he cut it
16:49and the back part
16:51and the head part
16:53he presented it to the government
16:55so you accepted it
16:57so the narrator said
16:59I asked if you ate anything
17:01he said yes
17:03then later he said
17:05he accepted it
17:07so in some narrations
17:09it is proven to accept
17:11but not to eat
17:13so some people said
17:15that the Prophet accepted the rabbit
17:17but not to eat
17:19but it is true that
17:21eating the rabbit is Sunnah
17:23even though the rabbit has claws
17:25and sharp teeth
17:27but because it is not a meat eater
17:29it is not a hunter
17:31and the biggest proof
17:33is that the companions
17:35accepted it
17:37and even if the Prophet
17:39did not eat
17:41when the companions are eating
17:43and the government is not stopping
17:45then it is a proof
17:47that it is permissible
17:49so cooking the rabbit
17:51and eating the rabbit
17:53some people make biryani
17:55but the meat is a little salty
17:57I have also accepted it
17:59and did it with the intention of Sunnah
18:01so if you eat it with the intention of Sunnah
18:03you will get reward
18:05InshaAllah
18:07the time of the program is over
18:09we will be back with the next program
18:11you can watch our program
18:13and request for it
18:15May Allah help us
18:17Ameen
