00:20Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Gazzelba hosted his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping
00:25for talks on economy and trade after the two met at the G20 summit in Rio.
00:33And in Georgia, political police forces expelled demonstrators protesting against the results
00:38of the parliamentary elections in the center of Tbilisi city.
00:47Hello welcome from the south, I'm Luis Alberto Matos from Delsu Studios in Havana, Cuba.
00:53We begin with the news.
01:11Palestine, the ethnic cleansing operation carried out by Israeli forces in northern
01:15Gaza left 21 people dead, early Wednesday morning.
01:18The forces shelled residential areas in Jabalia and Beir Lachaiya camps, both located in northern
01:23Palestine.
01:24The number of wounded has not been confirmed, but it is estimated the death toll could rise
01:29as 10 people are still missing.
01:32Israel has kept a 46-day siege against the north of the Strip.
01:41Palestine commemorates World Children's Day amidst Israeli violence, killings, displacement,
01:47and child abuse.
01:48The United Nations Children's Fund, UNICEF, highlights that Palestinian children are among
01:52the most vulnerable victims of war.
01:54Indeed, they suffer from devastation, lack of access to health, education, and food.
01:59Namely, 96% of Palestinians go through such aggravating conditions daily.
02:05Ministry of Education and Higher Education reported that over 11,000 students have been
02:09killed in the Gaza Strip, while at least 19,467 have been injured due to the Zionist
02:17ongoing incursion that began in October 2023.
02:26And the commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Samuel Pappado, reported that the
02:30country's stockpile of weapons is dwindling due to its support for the conflicts in Ukraine
02:35and the Middle East.
02:36The military commander pointed out that they have provided billions of dollars worth of
02:39air defense systems to Ukraine and Israel.
02:42Washington has provided more than $60 billion in military assistance to Ukraine, including
02:47three Patriot anti-aircraft systems with interceptor missiles, and more than 40 HIMARS multiple
02:53rocket launchers with munitions.
02:55On the other hand, the United States is the key supplier of munitions to Israel, a fact
02:59that makes the North American nation a main sponsor of the Israeli genocide against the
03:03Palestinian people.
03:10And the Syrian Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Qusay Yaldahak, affirmed
03:14that Israel is the only obstacle to achieving a Middle East free of weapons of mass destruction.
03:20The diplomat considered that Israeli aggressive conduct and its possession of weapons, especially
03:25nuclear weapons, requires a greater effort to establish a zone free of these arms in
03:30the Middle East.
03:31During his speech at the meeting of the Conference to Establish a Zone Free of Weapons of Mass
03:35Destruction in the Middle East, the politician also condemned the protection provided by
03:39some Western countries to develop the nuclear, biological and chemical programs of the Israeli
03:44army.
03:59And in Russia, the Defense Ministry reported that the army repaired a Ukrainian drone attack
04:02involving over 40 drones in six regions of the country.
04:05Authorities said there were no human casualties or material damage in the attacks.
04:09Defense officials pointed out that the Ukrainian troops regularly attack bordering Russian
04:13provinces with drones to force the civilian population to leave their homes.
04:18Ukrainian forces in recent months have increased drone raids against oil refineries and fuel
04:22depots.
04:28Also Russian authorities stressed the importance of reaching the goals of its military operation
04:32in Ukraine.
04:33A spokesperson of the Kremlin, Dmitry Peskov, detailed that President Vladimir Putin has
04:37repeatedly stated Russia is ready to negotiate possible ways of settling the conflict without
04:41neglecting Moscow's goals.
04:43In mid-June, Putin formulated several key conditions for starting peace negotiations,
04:47namely that Ukraine must withdraw its troops from the Russian territories.
04:51Moreover, Kiev must give up from joining NATO and it must maintain neutral, non-aligned
04:56and non-nuclear status.
04:58Russia has been conducting a military operation in Ukraine since February 2022 to defend and
05:03safeguard the population from genocide by the Kiev government.
05:12U.S. President Joe Biden has ordered anti-personnel mines to be sent to Ukraine, according to
05:16The Washington Post.
05:18According to the declarations of two officials to the U.S. newspaper, after authorizing the
05:22use of attack MS missiles on Russia, late on Tuesday the President ordered the sending
05:27of anti-personnel mines to Kiev, in the sense the decision on the missiles had been postponed
05:32by the head of state for over a year, to end up approving it less than two months after
05:37his departure from the government.
05:39Allocating anti-personnel mines constitutes a violation of the United Nations Convention,
05:44which banned them in addition to the high international rejection due to the high risk
05:48it poses to the civilian population.
05:55Our representatives of the Russian executive and legislative branches reaffirmed that the
05:58U.S. missile strikes on their territory will break off the ties between Washington and
06:03Moscow, noting it won't change the current battlefield's reality.
06:06The spokesperson of the Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, assured that using the weapons sent by Joe
06:11Biden against Russian provinces would just destroy completely the relations between his
06:15country and Russia.
06:17In fact, the spokesperson of the presidential office, Dmitry Peskov, declared that the line
06:21of communication between Washington and Moscow has not been active for a long time.
06:26The deputy representative of the Federation to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, warned
06:30that now the response of the United States is no longer in diplomatic hands.
06:38I think we made our position crystal clear, which has been exposed during the past weeks,
06:43and it is not an illusion that this step of Ukraine and its Western sponsors is a deliberate
06:48escalation.
06:49I think, there is absolutely no doubt about it, so there are people in Moscow who are
06:53responsible for counteracting this kind of threats and attacks, and these people are
06:57not diplomats.
07:01Russia's deputy representative to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, assured that the
07:04West knows that militarily they have lost all their objectives.
07:11Whatever the West is trying to do to support them, it is loosing, and that is an objective
07:15reality, and they don't know what to do now, that's why they are trying to reframe their
07:20objectives, if at first it was to defeat Russia, to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia, now
07:25it is to create favorable negotiations for Ukraine, now they are going to try to pretend
07:31that the Ukrainian peace formulas which are actually ultimatums, irrational ultimatums
07:36for Russia, are the only basis for this.
07:41We now have a short break coming up, but first, remember you can join us on Tiktok

12:08presented, important achievements that contribute to the guarantee of the rights of indigenous
12:14peoples and their participation in the development of the territories of peace, but recognizes
12:19that there is still a pending debt.

12:35Cuban Vice President ratified that Syria is a brotherly country and highlighted the historic
12:40bilateral ties.
12:42He also thanked Syria for its support in the struggle of the Caribbean nation against the

14:09Welcome back.
14:13In Georgia, police forces expelled demonstrators protesting against the results of the parliamentary
14:17elections in the center of Tbilisi city.
14:20Citizens occupied Shapshet-Dzadze Avenue in front of the university after the end of an
14:25opposition march in rejection of the parliamentary election results.
14:28Police arrived on the scene and forced demonstrators to leave the place.
14:32The opposition march denounced the manipulation of the results published by the Central Electoral
14:36Commission, which indicated that the ruling Georgian Green Party obtained 53.93% of the
14:41votes and won 89 of the 150 seats in the legislature.
14:47In this regard, protesters demand an international investigation, a request that was met by the
14:52prosecutor's office after they launched an investigation into their fraud accusations.
15:01And in France, the National Federation of Farmers' Unions announced new demonstrations
15:05next week to reject the European Union Free Trade Agreement and to demand higher incomes.
15:09The French agricultural union said that nationwide protests will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday
15:15and Thursday, together with the Young Farmers' Union, to denounce the obstacles hindering
15:20their work.
15:21Both unions resumed demonstrations and roadblocks to demand the fulfillment of the 70 measures
15:26promised by the government last January.
15:29According to the union, the Mercosur agreement will result in a loss of income in the face
15:34of imports from countries with lower production costs and fewer environmental regulations.
15:55The French meteorological authorities have declared a state of emergency in 28 departments
16:00due to early snowfalls.
16:01The measure will be enforced as of Thursday, November 21, which urges to be cautious and
16:06to follow the information issued due to snowfalls and the subsequent formation of dangerous
16:11black ice on roads, as a result of the passage of the Caetano depression across the country.
16:17According to the forecast, snowfalls will reach to a lesser or greater extent territories
16:21located in the northern portion of the country, in a strip that covers from east to west.
16:26Due to the unusual weather forecast, even in the middle of fall and one month before
16:31the official beginning of winter, meteorologists advance the possibility of extending the alert
16:35to other neighboring departments.
16:51And in Cuba this November, Havana celebrates its 505th anniversary with several cultural
16:56events.
16:57Our colleague Fabiola Lopez with the details.
17:01Besieged by hurricanes and blockades, this amazing Caribbean city refused to stop dancing.
17:08So magical were the nights in this capital during the 28th Alicia Alonso International
17:13Ballet Festival of Havana.
17:15Despite the heavy rains and fierce winds that came with Hurricane Rafael, the dance festival
17:21was never suspended, only postponed.
17:25The ballet, although for some countries it is an elitist expression, for Cuba it cannot
17:36be, because it has been at the service of the Cuban people since Alicia Alonso gave
17:40it validity.
17:41To have a figure like Alicia, who gave herself so much to the people, made it impossible
17:46for them not to follow her.
17:53This time artists from 15 nations from the five continents shared the poetry of the movement.
18:09I loved everything about the beauty of the body and how beautiful it is to move and express
18:13art with the body.
18:15It was really incredible for me.
18:21In these difficult times for Cuba, I believe that two things have come together, the tenacity
18:27and validity of the National Ballet of Cuba and the gesture of solidarity of those great
18:32artists who have been with us.
18:41The 15th Havana Biennial began with this very Cuban drumming.
18:46This is not an elite event that stays in the museums.
18:49According to its directors, here art comes into contact with the people and becomes part
18:55of their lives.
18:58I think it is a very human biennial.
19:00I like biennials like this, where you are not the artist who comes to show off, but
19:05you are part of a society of a community.
19:11Magical things happen here, there's no doubt about it.
19:14Everything seems like it's not going to happen, and in the end, I don't know how people get
19:19around that eventually make things happen.
19:25The master Juvenal Ravello, one of the most notable kinetic artists of our American continent,
19:31invites us to enter the creative universe, where art becomes a vehicle for social transformation.
19:37Samia Halabi, pioneer of digital art and abstract painting, returns with the installation organizes,
19:45reorganizes, constructs.
19:47Peruvian Sonia Cunliff presents Operation Peter Pan, from absence to absence, bringing
19:53to life the only remaining mobile cinema truck.
19:56Mexican artist Victoria Molina brings state of uncertainty, this collaborative mural made
20:01with the community.
20:05It is necessary to understand that from the culture nothing will be able to separate us,
20:10nothing will be able to finish with our countries, and much less with our peoples, with our people
20:15who are built from that beautiful diversity of culture.
20:22These are just some of the many proposals of this biennial, which according to experts,
20:27not only aims to showcase the creations of the peoples of the South, but also becomes
20:32the ideal place to reflect on how to deal with colonization in the current context.
20:41We have come to the end of this newsreel, you can find this and many other stories on

20:50and TikTok.
