01:07Hello and welcome to From the South, I'm Ana Marrero from the TELESUR headquarters
01:11in Caracas, Venezuela.
01:12We'll be back with the news, stay with us.
01:32It's the second day of the Congress of the Bolivarian Historical Black in Venezuela and
01:36our correspondent Belén de los Santos is there with the details we must know about
01:40the event.
01:41Belén, welcome.
01:42Hello Ana, it's a pleasure to be here and as you were saying, the Grand Congress of
01:50the Historical Bolivarian Black is underway in Caracas, we are here, this is the second
01:55day of the Congress that started yesterday and will continue until tomorrow and what
02:01I wanted to bring to you today at this moment was a little bit of an explanation of what
02:06this historical Congress is and what it is, is an instance of participatory democracy.
02:14So what is happening here in the Congress today is that the different sectors of the
02:20Venezuelan society are gathering, are coming together in order to discuss the strategic
02:27goals and a roadmap to the future in order to analyze and to really debate together,
02:35that is why this is an instance of participatory democracy because the goals of the coming
02:41years for this government term and for the Venezuelan nation as a whole will not be decided
02:47as happens in many countries but just by the executive alone but are being discussed by
02:55all sectors of society and this Congress is a key instance of that.
03:01So let's recall what is happening.
03:03So the idea is, this is a proposal, you know that a new term in office is beginning next
03:11year and also there are many challenges that the world is facing and Venezuela in particular
03:18has set a goal to really bring together all these sectors.
03:23So we have the five generations that compose the Venezuelan society and also the seven
03:30forces.
03:31So we are talking about the different forces that make up the Venezuelan society.
03:37We're talking about the political party, we're talking about the social forces, that means
03:42the popular forces, the communal power and also the productive forces.
03:47So those are all the sectors that make up this Venezuelan social tissue and these have
03:55been carrying out assemblies since September with a set objective of discussing what are
04:03the problems that the territories are facing and what are the strategies, what are the
04:08ideas that from each different territory, from each different sector they are giving
04:14in order to think about the goals for the upcoming years and those are the seven transformations.
04:22That is the seven key areas in which every part of the Venezuelan society is preparing
04:31and is working to really transform, do the next step of transformation in this stage
04:39of the Bolivarian process.
04:41So those assemblies have been carrying out since September and this congress that is
04:47underway right now is the key moment in which those delegates, delegates from all across
04:55the nation and also from all these different sectors that we have been mentioning, they
05:00have come here to Caracas to this congress and they are bringing the proposals and so
05:07they are now debating them with the other comrades and they are set to reach different
05:14consensus and objectives and finally end this congress with a proposal for the coming
05:21years.
05:22That is the instance that we are here and that is underway so today is the second day
05:29of this event and that means that today is when the workspaces, the work tables are underway.
05:37They are already underway, all the delegates have been divided into areas, according to
05:43those seven transformations, seven strategies that are being debated so you can hear a little
05:51bit behind me, there is a lot of different debate instances where delegates are participating,
05:58they are bringing their proposals, that is what is happening today.
06:00Today is the most important day in terms of debating, in terms of reaching consensus and
06:07the idea is that from today and up to tomorrow we are going to have some consensus drawn
06:14up to have a final roadmap, a participatory, a democratic roadmap that will be drawn up
06:21for and presented tomorrow in the ending day.
06:24So that is a little bit of what is happening today and I will continue to bring you throughout
06:30the day how the day develops and we will hopefully be able to also hear from some of the delegates,
06:37from the different experiences, so I hope to bring you more information soon.
06:42Thank you Belén for your information and your remarks in this event.

07:41While Kurenkov highlights the historical relations between both peoples, in addition both sides
07:50reaffirmed that the political will to continue threatening cooperation ties to face a complex
07:56contingency situation aggravated by the illegal US blockade against Cuba.
08:01The General appreciated Russian support in the preparation of the qualified national
08:06personnel to face crises such as the hurricanes impact that lately hit the country.
08:18The G20 Social Summit opens in Rio de Janeiro, marking an unprecedented initiative by the
08:25Brazilian government ahead of the Leaders' Summit.
08:28This event aims to bring civil society into discussions amongst leaders of the world's
08:34major economies.
08:35The country will run until Saturday, with over 270 activities organized by social movements,
08:41universities and international organizations on social struggles, such as the right of

08:53court.
08:54On Friday, plenary sessions are scheduled to discuss the three taxes proposed by Brazil
09:00to the G20 Summit, combating hunger, poverty and inequality, sustainability and climate
09:05change and global governance reform.
09:13Argentina became the only country in the world to vote at the United Nations against a resolution
09:19in favor of rising efforts to eradicate violence against women and girls in digital environments.
09:25On the eve of the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women, 170 countries supported
09:31the resolution voted in New York while 17 abstained and one Argentina voted against.
09:37The body concerned over the increasing use of social media and the internet to undermine
09:42the rights of women and girls.
09:44The document promoted by the Netherlands and France points to attacks on sexual and reproductive
09:51health.
09:52Three days earlier, President Javier Melendez represented the voter vote against a resolution
09:57in favor of indigenous people.
10:07And the judgment by national judges has been requested 225 reviews and to process with
10:26the evidence that led the regrettable figure of over 30 deaths and 500 public assets destroyed.
10:41This action that has as an axis the familial reunification consolidates the commitment
10:50of Venezuelan entities with peace, justice and human rights.
10:58Caracas, November 15, 2024, signature by myself as Attorney General of the Republic and for
11:09it to finish, I want to highlight clearly that they do not have moral or judicial authority
11:25or any NGO, and I am going to say it again, they don't have it.
11:33Afterwards, the prosecutor's office with the competent organs, they came bribed by other
11:47organizations to refer that they had to do something with this action, which is attributable
11:56to the legal authorities, the prosecutor's office and the judicial power, which is together
12:06with us, to the judicial system.
12:11They shouldn't come here to disclose a video over there, it is something terrible what
12:19they said, that they were accusing me of belonging to an entity and so with a sheet
12:31of paper to sign the power, and when something like this happened, judges and attorney generals
12:42after reviewing each case, then they came and said that we did these events to disclose
12:54negative propaganda against Venezuela.
12:58And so with this important announcement, with this communique, I just finished my speech
13:04and we will continue reviewing, we will continue looking at the cases, the important cases,
13:10because Venezuela is recognized for it, it is recognized as it, it is attached by law
13:21and what the constitution and judicial power stipulate, whoever being responsible for the
13:33crimes as active participants will be punished, will be sanctioned.
13:40Those innocent amid the investigations will be under investigation for measures and so
13:51this is an important task, thank you very much.

14:08finished.
