00:00Charlie, looking at Wolves and the Fosun era in general, you know, sometimes it's good
00:07to just sit back and reflect when so much is going on week in week out, especially with
00:13the fixture period. Just on the Fosun era, obviously, they came in quite a long time
00:18ago now. They got it right eventually with the appointment of Nuno Espirito Santo. Looking
00:24back on some of the signings that were involved, obviously, George Mendez, the super agent,
00:29was heavily involved at the time. They made some massive signings in the Championship,
00:34won the division with flying colours and then had some fantastic success in the Premier
00:38League and even a European campaign as well. So who has been the sort of standout signings
00:44that fans can look back on and be really sort of reminiscent of those great times?
00:49Yes, it's very good to be reminiscent, especially when things haven't been so good recently
00:54with Fosun. But they have made some great signings over the years, it has to be said,
00:57as you mentioned. I think the standout for most people will be Ruben Neves. Of course,
01:01for £15 million in the Championship at the time, that was an incredible amount of money.
01:06But he went on to be worth every single penny and more, as obviously Wolves got a profit
01:11for him when he moved on to Al-Hilal about a year or so ago. But in the Championship,
01:15he was absolutely unstoppable, one of the best players the division has ever seen, let
01:19alone just for Wolves. And then in the Premier League as well, continuing that fine form,
01:24showing signs of being Champions League quality, let alone just Wolves quality, and becoming
01:29captain of the club as well, having such a connection with the fan base, so, so important.
01:34Joao Martinho, another Portuguese midfielder at the other end of his career. He was definitely
01:39in the twilight years of his career, but his talent was just clear to see. One of the best
01:45in terms of just pure talent and pure technical ability, one of the best players Wolves have
01:49probably ever seen. Raul Jimenez, around a similar era to Neves as well, one of the
01:55best goalscorers the club will have ever seen. Just so prolific in his prime, the way he
01:59just shrug off defenders and find the corner of the net, had so much power. His heading
02:03ability as well can't be underestimated. It's just such a shame that he had that terrible
02:07injury against Arsenal. And then Rui Patricio, such a great success in terms of being an
02:13upgrade on John Ruddy at the time, and Wolves really needed a new keeper to take them forward
02:18because they were progressing so much in a variety of competitions. And Patricio was
02:22that man, a great shot stopper and great with his feet as well.
02:26If there's anyone that Wolves fans could maybe bring back that the players have let go, obviously
02:31Neves, Martinho has obviously gone now, Jota as well, to name a few. Who do you think maybe
02:37could be on their lips for a player, if they could bring one back, that they would?
02:42Pedro Oneto going to Chelsea in the summer, he's got a recent one that Wolves fans would
02:47love to have back, but it's got to be Raul Jimenez. The amount of goals he used to score,
02:51in his prime at least, and now he's back in form with Fulham. I think Wolves fans would
02:54love to see him leading the line at Molyneux again, especially with the lack of goals
02:58so far this season.
