00:08particularly in the face of the storm Marseille.

00:11Because of that, Defense Secretary Gilberto Chudoro Jr. ordered the LGUs to carry out force evacuations

00:23The NDRRMC is also doing its best for our countrymen to be affected by the storm.

00:36The local government has decided that it is possible to be affected by the storm Marseille

00:40by carrying out force evacuations in places where rescuers cannot reach in case of calamity,

00:48Defense Secretary Gilberto Chudoro, who is also the chairperson of the NDRRMC, said.

00:54It is better to be prepared so that many lives can be saved from the storm.

00:59That is the judgment call of the local disaster risk reduction and management councils.

01:06But the thing is, the earlier the better for us.

01:12I mean, it's no problem to err on the side of caution.

01:16Even if it doesn't rain, at least everyone is safe.

01:19According to the DNR, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, and Cordillera are the areas of concern.

01:26The Mines and Geosciences Bureau of the agency is also monitoring the forecast of the storm

01:31to alert the barangays that are landslide and flood-prone areas.

01:36We are giving the list of barangays to the OCD

01:42so that they can spread and distribute the information about the likely scenario.

01:50I hope that our local officials will use this

01:55in the decision of preemptive evacuation

02:00so that our barangays can be safer here in the local government.

02:09The LGUs also need centralized drop-off points

02:14where relief goods and non-food items can be dropped.

02:17The DSWD has prepared 300,000 family food packs

02:22for those affected by the Marseille storm.

02:25From this, more than 1 million stockpiles of family food packs

02:29while activating their repacking station in Central Luzon

02:33so that help can be delivered quickly to the north of Luzon.

02:37Right now, even though we are preparing for the Marseille storm,

02:42our relief operations are still ongoing, especially in the Bicol Region.

02:46So DSWD is constantly monitoring the different evacuation centers that were built.

02:52AFP's 300 search and rescue teams are on standby for the Marseille storm

02:58and are also preparing airlift capabilities

03:01as well as Black Hawk Helicopters for the delivery of food and non-food items.

03:06The security operations of the Armed Forces of the Philippine Armed Forces

03:11are not absent despite the help in the storm.

03:13While we are doing humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations,

03:19our internal security operations, our combat operations, are still ongoing.

03:24The Inter-Agency Coordinating Cell has been activated again

03:28so that the agencies of the government can be quickly monitored.
