00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development has stepped up its efforts to address the needs of the affected areas

00:06as the typhoon Nika hits the country.

00:09According to the DSWD, the production of family food packs continues

00:13in their national operation centers, such as in Central Luzon.

00:17They have also sent additional 10,000 FFPs to their warehouses in Aurora

00:24where the typhoon Nika landed this morning.

00:27Meanwhile, additional FFPs and non-food items have been sent to the Region 2 and Apayau Provinces

00:35of the Cordillera Administrative Region.

00:37The NDRRMC's Logistics Cluster is also being coordinated

00:41to provide the necessary assistance.

00:44The LGUs have also been given guidance for the preemptive evacuation

00:48to ensure that the evacuation centers are ready.

00:52Aside from the relief goods,

00:53the mobile command centers of the DSWD have also been deployed

00:57to provide the needs, such as electricity, communication lines, and more.

01:03Meanwhile, the government has also confirmed that it still has sufficient supply and funds.

01:08At the same time, the Department of Budget and Management has also confirmed

01:11that it will receive the Quick Response Fund if necessary.
