00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. has ordered
00:03various agencies of the government to immediately respond to the effects of the León storm.
00:09Among those affected are the province of Batanes,
00:12as reported by Kenneth Paciente.
00:20The León storm hit Batanes.
00:24It hit the Batanes Police Provincial Office around 2 a.m.
00:29Heavy rain and wind gusts were seen.
00:32The waves were also high in some coastal areas
00:35because of the wind blowing, so some trees almost fell.
00:39Also because of the León storm,
00:41the oldest church in the town of Itbayat,
00:44the Santa Maria de Mayan Church, was burned.
00:46In the middle of the León storm,
00:48President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.
00:51called for a whole-of-government approach to the calamity.
00:53According to the President,
00:54the government is closely monitoring the effects of the storm.
00:58Although the resources are affected due to the upcoming storm,
