00:00What a Monday we have in store. We end out week number nine in
00:05the opening half of this 2024 NFL season with Monday Night
00:10Football inside Arrowhead Stadium between the Chiefs and
00:13the Buccaneers. KC of course the only undefeated team left
00:17in the National Football League. A perfect seven and oh
00:22the Chiefs have covered in five of those seven victories.
00:25Looking to make it eight for eight tonight against the
00:28shorthanded Tampa Bay Buccaneers and DRS as we see
00:32from the odds. KC expected to remain perfect and unbeaten.
00:36Nine and a half point spread in favor of the Chiefs. Forty-five
00:40and a half is that total. So it's not really a question DRS
00:44if the Chiefs will remain at eight and oh but can they cover
00:49in six of eight victories this year? I look you never want to
00:53take the Chiefs typically over a touchdown because they're the
00:56perfect team that Ben is up. Double digits the entire game
00:59understands that we don't need to win by double digits. Let's
01:02just run the clock out. Let's make effective plays here and
01:04if the other team scores a late touchdown and get inside the
01:06number, who cares? We're not actually trying to cover
01:08spreads. So from that aspect, I do agree that it's hard to bet
01:11Kansas City but also from a Tampa Bay perspective. I don't
01:14know how they're going to slow down Kansas City's offense and
01:16Kansas City's offense hasn't been that great this season but
01:19now it looks like Kelsey getting his mojo back
01:20touchdown last week. You know another week for Nuke Hopkins
01:23getting grained into that offense. Patrick Mahomes is
01:25okay. Hey, look at last week. I threw multiple touchdowns.
01:28Let's try to do that on a week-to-week basis and get the
01:30band back together like we did for so many years. Kareem Hunt
01:33should have lanes to run here and also the one thing we used
01:36to always say about the Kansas City team is boy, you gotta get
01:38in the shootouts and beat Kansas City and say ultra
01:40aggressive. Who would have thought that the better version
01:42of the Kansas City Chiefs is not the offense but the actual
01:45Steve Spagnolo led defense. They've been sensational and if
01:49you're gonna say, hey, look, Tampa Bay is coming to town,
01:51Ben. They got Mike Evans. They got Chris Godwin ready to go.
01:53No, they don't have either one of those guys. I look for that
01:56defense to just be like a boa constrictor and strangle out
01:59that Tampa Bay offense. I think Kansas City does win by double
02:03digits tonight, Ben. Yeah, DRS, when you look at KC, right? It
02:07was the story last year. An offense that by Kansas City
02:12Chiefs standards, 23 points per game, middle of the pack in the
02:16NFL was nowhere close to the previous five years when KC was
02:20a top ten, top five scoring offense each and every year
02:24averaging better than 28 points per game but the difference was
02:27a scoring defense that was second best in the NFL allowing
02:32just a tick over 17 points per game. In this year, Kansas City
02:37third best scoring defense entering week nine allowing
02:41just 17.6 points per game. In the Raiders scored a late
02:45touchdown last week to cover the number. They were getting
02:48seven and a half, eight and a half at home. Gardner Minshew
02:52scored or threw a touchdown pass with just over two minutes.
02:55Insignificant for the result but did affect of course the cover
02:59and the stats now that Kansas City allowed 20 points per game
03:03last week. This Chiefs defense is the real deal. In the
03:07Buccaneers, DRS last year, nine and four against the spread as
03:10an underdog. Six outright wins. Won their first two games
03:14outright as a dog this year but now shorthanded. They are
03:18going to be booked as an underdog often and in their
03:22last three games as a dog, they have not covered in any of the
03:27three. They've also gone over in five straight because the
03:30defense has allowed 36 plus points in four consecutive
03:35games. How much offense do we see tonight as we look at the
03:38total? Yeah, by the way, we're we're getting some breaking
03:41news in the NFL which we're going to get to in just a few
03:43moments but let me finish this question out here. I think we
03:45see the Kansas City Chiefs hit their team total tonight. I do
03:48think also Patrick Holmes goes over one and a half touchdown
03:50passes and I know Kareem Hunt is expensive on offense to score
03:53a touchdown tonight. He's scoring a touchdown tonight.
03:55I'm all chiefed up for us tonight, Ben. Yes, you are
03:59chiefed up DRS. You're going over one and a half passing
04:02touchdowns. Yes. For Patrick Holmes but as we focus on the
04:05NFC South, only one team is above 500. It's the Atlanta
04:09Falcons. Some breaking news right here on this Monday on
04:13the early line. Donnie, we kind of talked about it. Jokingly,
04:17we said there should be an overhaul in New Orleans. It
04:20just occurred. Dennis Allen in his third year as the Saints
04:24head coach. His ninth with the franchise spent six years as
04:28Sean Payton's defensive coordinator before being named
04:31the head man has now been fired. The Saints have dropped
04:35seven consecutive games. Again, the breaking news here on
04:39this Monday following the week nine Sunday slate, the New
04:42Orleans Saints have fired Dennis Allen and Dennis Allen
04:46should have been fired here. It's almost like the curse of
04:48even last year. I was really high on the Saints. Not
04:51necessarily win the NFC or the Super Bowl, Ben, but just to
04:54make the playoffs and win the division. They underperformed
04:56last year. Didn't get it done this year in a topsy-turvy NFC
05:00South where anybody could have won it. If you just had any
05:02semblance of a decent football team, they're already checked
05:05out on the season after an embarrassing loss yesterday.
05:07This had to be done the day before the deadline. Now,
05:09start to make other moves and start to rebuild for the
05:11future. Well said DRS. We'll talk a little bit more about
05:15that and Monday Night Football when our three starts up next.
05:19Welcome to our number three, our third and final live right
05:23here on the early line on Sports Grid. He is Donny
05:26Rightside. I am Ben Stevens. We start this third and final
05:30hour once again with the breaking news in the last five
05:32minutes around the national football league after getting
05:35beat as a seven-point road favorite yesterday in
05:39Carolina by the Panthers to extend a losing skid to seven
05:43consecutive games. The New Orleans Saints have made a much
05:47needed change. The Saints have fired head coach Dennis Allen
05:51midway through his third season at the helm in New Orleans. Two
05:55and seven this year DRS after acquiring Derek Karn being the
05:59odds-on favorite to win the NFC South last year in falling
06:03short of expectation at only nine and eight, seven and ten
06:08in his first year. He will end his two and a half seasons in
06:11New Orleans with an eighteen and twenty-five record. Dennis
06:16Allen has been a head coach in the NFL six years now. He has
06:20been fired in the middle of his third season at each stint way
06:25back in 2014 with the Raiders after only four weeks now in
06:292024 with New Orleans after only nine weeks at a two and
06:33seven record to show for it. And how about the first two
06:37wins of the season to start off where we were starting to
06:39question. Oh my goodness are the Saints the best team in the
06:42NFC a surefire playoff team and there's no chance the Atlanta
06:46Falcons, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Carolina
06:48Panthers will ever catch this runaway freight train only for
06:52the Philadelphia Eagles to come in and stop their season dead
06:55cold with a victory with a lot of injured players here pulling
06:59that out late and they never recovered from that. The one
07:01thing you do know about head coaches getting fired is
07:03sometimes they get a little bit longer leash if we don't think
07:06the team is talented. That team coming into the season the past
07:08few years should have been at least good enough to win the
07:11NFC South at least not compete for a wild card position. The
07:14fact that you entered this season with decent expectations.
07:18The first two games reset those expectations for we not only
07:22will make the playoffs but make a run only to find yourself to
07:24two and seven losing to the worst team in football
07:27yesterday in embarrassing fashion on the field. This has
07:30to be done. They have to restart and it's done at a good
07:33time. You're done on the season. You're not going to make the
07:35playoffs. The deadline is tomorrow. No more trying to save
07:38the season for our head coach and see if the players can play
07:40for them. You should slowly dismantle this team that is way
07:44over the salary cap heading into next season as is. Seven
07:48years also as the defensive coordinator under Sean Payton
07:52before he became the head coach in 2022. So he's been in the
07:57big easy for nearly a decade and working with the Saints in
08:01big positions. Of course, his tenure has come to a close
08:06Donnie. I don't think the Saints can crawl out crawl out
08:09of this hole to be a playoff team. None of that is going to
08:12change like we saw with the Jets firing Robert Sala. I don't
08:15think Dennis Allen is the last coach that we will see dismissed
08:19at one point during the season, not just after it. Mike
08:23McCarthy probably looking around like oh boy Matt Eberfluse
08:26probably looking around like oh we're making some quick
08:29changes and swift decisions here midway through the
08:33campaign. Alright now as we set the stage for the final game of
08:37week number nine, another NFC South team in action. It's the
08:41Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they head to the home of the two time
08:44rating Super Bowl champs and the only undefeated team left in
08:47the NFL. The perfect seven and oh Kansas City Chiefs. What's
08:51the best bet for Monday night? We asked all of you and fade
08:54the public.
09:02So as we look at sports grid on Twitter, what is the best bet
09:07for Monday night football Chiefs laying nine and a half
09:10bucks as a hefty road underdog the over 45 and a hook the
09:15under 45 and a half DRS. You just said you love it. I know
09:19why you love it. You're expecting a KC blowout at home
09:22tonight of this shorthanded Tampa team and yet the public
09:26is thinking. Hey Baker in the Bucks have been a great
09:28underdog the last year and a half. We can't be expecting
09:32Kansas City to cover laying more than a touchdown and thus
09:36I would expect Donny right side is fading the public.
09:39Absolutely. Let's just go back to a little short time ago last
09:43Thursday. I believe to Jets Donny you idiot. You can't bet
09:47the Jets. Did you see the Texans record as they came in and I
09:50said, you know what circumstances provide the
09:53results here. That was the Jets. We're going to get a
09:55victory and they did get a victory almost in similar
09:58fashion of what these numbers are coming out to today, which
10:00the public is telling us the Chiefs at minus nine and a half
10:02on the pole. Nineteen and a half percent. The Buccaneers
10:05plus nine and a half on the public poll 39%. Oh, I love
10:10this. I understand the Buccaneers. They're going to
10:13fight you. Yes, I get that. I understand the Kansas City
10:16Chiefs sometimes let their guard down late in football
10:18games. I'm not buying it here and this just reinforces that
10:21I'm on the right side. Once again tonight, how do we love
10:24a box team? That's beater battered bruised and down for
10:28the count right now. That's going to rise up against the
10:31Chiefs in Arrowhead and somehow try to steal this game or be in
10:34a one possession football game late in the fourth quarter. The
10:37only way you lose this game once again is if Baker Mayfield
10:40is still engaged as they're down 14 plus points late in the
10:43football game. I'm going against that the Chiefs
10:46absolutely roll tonight. Let's go with something bad. 2713
10:51ish. How about that? Yeah. DRS. I actually agree with that
10:55thought. I think Casey wins this game comfortably. This
10:58could be the second spot on the slate that we have seen for
11:01week nine much like Baltimore and Denver where we're thinking
11:04why is this number nine and a half? The Broncos have been a
11:07solid team this year. The Buccaneers are a great cover
11:10team as an underdog. I'm not so sure again. Tampa nine and four
11:15ATS as a dog last year won their first two games outright
11:20this season as an underdog. The Buccaneers have not covered in
11:23their last three games as a dog. The Bucs have gone over in
11:27five straight games. So maybe you're thinking alright,
11:29they'll put up 24 against this Chiefs team in Kansas City will
11:33score just to keep pace to win this game even by a touchdown.
11:37I'm not so sure. I lean under 45 and a half as well. The
11:41Chiefs under in four of seven games this year. The Chiefs
11:46have allowed twenty points or less in six of seven. The Bucs
11:50have been giving up a lot of points in this losing skin or
11:55as they have played worse football. Twenty-seven plus
11:58points in each of their last four. I think it's that Chiefs
12:02defense that makes it difficult for this shorthanded
12:05Buccaneers offense tonight. DRS. I agree with you. By the
12:09way, the public and even eight and eight this year because of
12:12course the public was on the Texans. So, if the public is on
12:16the Bucs, maybe we lean Kansas City tonight. DRS, let's look
12:20at the quarterbacks of course that will match up on this
12:22Monday. Baker Mayfield went out as two top targets. That being
12:26Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Patrick Mahomes still a
12:30negative touchdown to interception ratio this year
12:33but did throw multiple touchdown passes a week ago.
12:37Donnie, how do you see the quarterbacks squaring off
12:39tonight in Arrowhead? Yeah, I like Patrick Mahomes tonight.
12:42Two forty-seven and a half. I think that's a legitimate
12:44number. They'll be able to move the football. The question to
12:46me is is which type of offensive explosion are we
12:49getting for Kansas City? Is it the methodical drive that ends
12:52in touchdowns that takes five to six minutes? Which you do
12:54like but what do we like even more? Give me four plays, sixty-two
12:58yards and a touchdown in two and a half minutes here. So,
13:00that two forty-seven and a half does make some sense. I do lean
13:02towards the over but I love Patrick Mahomes over one and a
13:05half touchdown passes at a minus 120. He should be. I
13:08love to, you know, Kelsey back into the offense finally
13:11getting in last week. The pressure is off. You'll be able
13:13to get him some more. DeAndre Hopkins knowing that he has an
13:16extra week in that playbook. They're going to utilize him
13:18and what do we always love? You get a new player. He's at home
13:21here. You know what? What's the best way to get you into this
13:24team environment in that home crowd? Throw a touchdown pass
13:27to the guy in the red zone. Make sure you target him here
13:30tonight. As I said, I do expect Cream Hump to score a touchdown
13:32but Mahomes over one and a half touchdown passes. Probably
13:35my favorite play tonight overall in this football game.
13:38I like that look a lot DRS. Kareem Hunt to hit Pater is
13:42minus 190. He has been such a staple of this offense for KC.
13:47Expensive but probably justified. The numbers on the
13:50other side for the backs always intriguing. Is it the rookie
13:53Bucky Irving? Could it be the other rookie Sean Tucker? How
13:56much is Rashad White going to factor in to this conversation?
14:00The numbers are limited because of the split production
14:03but also because of how stout KC has been. Mahomes last week
14:08multiple touchdown passes for the first time in a month. Baker
14:11Mayfield has thrown three passing touchdowns in four
14:14consecutive games at least. He's got 13 in the last four but
14:20he's thrown multiple interceptions in the last three
14:23games as well. Mahomes and INT in all nine or in all seven
14:27games this year. Nine in total battling KC in a big way
14:32tonight. It would not be the start of a new week live right
14:35here on the early line without the Monday Prop Perspective
14:39from SportsGrid's Tom Vecchio. Vecchio joins us here to look
14:42at Monday Night Football. His best bets for the end of week
14:46number nine and a couple of NBA thoughts as well. Robust
14:50slate in the association after only three games on a Sunday.
14:55Tom Vecchio, as always, we appreciate the time. Thanks for
14:58being here. Thanks for having me. I think we are in for a
15:02really solid Monday Night game tonight. I think we're in for a
15:05decent amount of scoring. If I had to make a like super, super
15:09exact prediction, I would say the Chiefs win. They don't
15:12cover, which has kind of been a trend for a lot of these larger
15:15teams and we land right on the total. So if I had to make a
15:19specific prediction, it would be 27 to 20 final score. Chiefs
15:23win. That means they don't cover and we land right at that
15:26total with maybe a late touchdown or a field goal.
15:30Vecchio firing away to start. You see the numbers there, Tom.
15:34Nine and a half point spread total at 45 and a hook. So as
15:38you gave us your prediction, the Chiefs don't cover, but they
15:41win comfortably. How do we get that game flow? What does it
15:45look like in terms of the result that leads to the
15:47outcome? Well, from the Chiefs side of things, I think one of
15:51their clear goals tonight should be to get Deandre
15:54Hopkins more involved. I'm not going to say a slow week for
15:58him last time out, you know, two catches for 29 yards. It was
16:01his first game with the team. He was with the team for, you
16:03know, three days, four days, whatever it was, two days of
16:06practice, whatever it might be. So I expect him to be a little
16:08bit more involved tonight. I do like him for TD tonight and you
16:12know, oftentimes I come here and say like, oh, this is the
16:14Javante Williams game and I expect him to cruise past his
16:16numbers. Tonight is the Deandre Hopkins game and his line is
16:19sitting at four and two and a half. Frankly, I like him going
16:22for 50 plus, 60 plus, maybe even 70 plus yards and ultimately,
16:26you know, 70 plus yards, like isn't a big ask, especially
16:29going up against this Bucks defense. They're on 255 passing
16:31yards per game. That's the third most in the league. So if
16:34I'm expecting the Chiefs to get out and score, like asking for
16:3660 or 70 yards, like isn't a massive, massive ask when we
16:40have Pat Mahomes and granted he hasn't been like the best
16:43version of himself. But again, my point being they brought in
16:46Deandre Hopkins for a reason. Get in the ball, get him a
16:49touchdown and let's get him involved in the offense. Let's
16:51get things moving. It's up to the quarterbacks to get those
16:55wide receivers involved in the offense. Let's take a look at
16:57two gunslingers tonight. Patrick Mahomes taking on Baker
16:59Mayfield. If we're looking at the passing prop totals, 247 and
17:03a half for Patrick Mahomes. Baker Mayfield, 236 and a half.
17:06The touchdown props, Patrick Mahomes over one and a half
17:08juiced at minus 120. Baker Mayfield the same one and a half
17:11but at a plus 146. Expectations from Mahomes and Mayfield
17:15tonight, Tom. I think Mayfield, honestly, I think he cruises
17:19past this number. I like him over the yards. I like him over
17:21the attempts and it's going to be a game script thing. Not to
17:24mention the fact that the Chiefs, they allow 82 rushing
17:27yards per game. That's the third lowest in the league,
17:29right? And I know that they're gonna be without Mike Evans and
17:31Chris Godwin but at a certain point, they're gonna be passing
17:34the ball because they're gonna be playing from behind and this
17:36is just gonna be garbage time yards, right? It doesn't matter
17:38who he's throwing to. Doesn't matter, you know, how he's
17:40getting there. So, over 34 and a half attempts, I like him over
17:43the yards. If he hits over like 260 or 275 yards in a losing
17:47effort, are we gonna be surprised given what we've seen
17:49from Baker when he's gone over this passing number in four of
17:52the last five games. Some of these games up at 45 passing
17:54attempts. So, it's kind of just an attrition thing at a certain
17:57point where like he's gonna get the yards even if it's late in
17:59the fourth quarter. Mayfield leads the NFL in passing
18:03touchdowns. Twenty-one. He has thrown at least three in the
18:06last four games for the Buccaneers. Thirteen total in
18:09that span but to the tune of seven interceptions in the last
18:13three games as well. Multiple INTs in all three of the last
18:18games entering for the Buccaneers. Mahomes has thrown
18:21an INT in all seven games for KC this year. Still a negative
18:25touchdown to INT ratio. Eight TDs to nine INTs but for the
18:29first time, Patrick Mahomes multiple touchdown tosses last
18:33week in nearly a month. So, with Mahomes struggling at times,
18:38they have counted on the old friend, Kareem Hunt who has
18:41come into the injured backfield and has looked really good.
18:44Vecchio, a hefty price if you think Hunt finds Pater once
18:48again tonight at minus 190. What's your approach to KC's
18:52offensive plan and how it pertains to the backfield? Well,
18:57they get out and score. Hopefully, it's via DeAndre
18:59Hopkins as I said but ultimately, I think they'll be
19:02controlling the game and that's going to be with Kareem Hunt.
19:04So, I'm not going to a minus 190 touchdown price. I don't
19:07think I've ever done that. That's not a spot that I'll be
19:09looking to go to. Over 16 and a half attempts. That's the spot
19:12to go. He's been over this mark in three straight games. The
19:14only time he was under this mark was that first game. He
19:17was with the team going up against the Chargers and not
19:20too much of a surprise to see him under that mark, you know,
19:22in his first game when they signed him, you know, off his
19:25couch at home. So, he didn't see 20 plus carries and that's
19:28what we're going to be in for tonight. Again, I'm expecting
19:30the Chiefs to be out ahead. I think Hunt has a huge game. He
19:33could easily go over his yards but I specifically like the
19:35attempts tonight. Tom, easier to focus here on obviously the
19:39Chiefs because you're looking at Travis Kelsey, John Dray
19:41Hopkins, Xavier Worthy but you're expecting Baker Mayfield
19:44possibly to have a big night tonight. You're going to get
19:46some cheap prices on some of those other guys here for the
19:49Bucs. Not a lot listed. Kate Otten, Jalen McMillan, and then
19:52a couple running backs, Rashad White, and Bucky Irving. Who
19:55we're going to look to tonight from a Bucs perspective at wide
19:57receiver? I think Kate Otten is probably the safest. We saw him
20:01have a huge game, you know, over the past few especially
20:03stepping up with Godwin and Evans out. I think Bucky Irving
20:06would be too. When it comes to wide receivers, I think McMillan
20:09is fine. You know, I don't know if Sterling Shepard's going to
20:13play tonight or not. Like we know he has a connection with
20:14Baker dating back to college but like it's kind of just like
20:17a pick your poison. Like if you are super high on one of them,
20:19if you think McMillan's going to have a good game and again,
20:21Baker's going to have 260 yards because they're going to be
20:23passing the ball. You got to be like all in on that spot but I
20:25specifically like I think Otten's fine. I think Bucky
20:27Irving's the best running back that they have and I don't
20:30expect Sean Tucker to play a big role if they're not going to
20:32be running the ball a whole lot. Irving would be the passing
20:34game option. Fifty-two and a half that receiving yards prop
20:38for Kate Otten. It's been steady this year for Baker Mayfield
20:42even when Mike Evans and Chris Godwin were out there last week
20:46in the first game without those top two targets. Ten targets
20:49for Otten. Nine grabs. Eighty-one yards. Two of the
20:52three touchdowns that Baker Mayfield threw to Otten. Alright
20:57Becky, let's put up the top props once again. Make sure
20:59everybody has those down for this Monday night football game
21:02before we get over to the NBA. There it is. Lock it in. Get
21:08those picks in. Fantastic. All 30 NBA teams in action around
21:13the association on this Monday night including Paul George
21:18making his debut for Philadelphia. The Sixers on the
21:21road in the valley tonight taking on the sun. Seven and a
21:24half points spread in favor of Phoenix. What does Paul George
21:28do for the Sixers team in making his debut tonight?
21:32Ultimately, it comes down to how many minutes will he be
21:35playing and I haven't seen a report on if there's a specific
21:38amount that he will be playing. It is a West Coast game so we
21:40may get that note later in the day. Ultimately, the best spot
21:43to go I still think is going to be Tyrese Maxey over 26 and a
21:47half points. They want to get Paul George involved. I think
21:49that's obviously a given but again, how many minutes will he
21:52be playing will determine, you know, how how the volume shots
21:55that he can get. So, you know, I tweeted about Maxey going for
21:59the season averaging over 28 and a half points because he was
22:01sitting around 26 last year and if Paul George and Joel Embiid
22:05aren't going to be playing a full set of games, I still
22:07think this offense is going to be driven by Maxey. So, once we
22:11see Embiid come back, I think we're going to see Maxey's
22:13number drop and ultimately that's the best spot to be
22:15going. So, I don't care if Paul George is in. I don't care if
22:18he's playing 15 minutes. I don't care if he's playing 25
22:20minutes. Maxey is still the answer for the 76ers this
22:23season. How about the answer coming up for Giannis here to
22:27try to rescue the Milwaukee Bucks sitting at a worst in
22:29the Eastern Conference one and five. Who are they taking on
22:32tonight? Cleveland, a perfect seven and oh and a seven and a
22:35half point line for the home team. The Cavaliers in a total
22:37of 229. Did the Cavaliers stay perfect tonight, Tom? Stay
22:42perfect. I don't know. It's it's basketball. There's
22:45variance on a, you know, week to week basis. Ultimately, I
22:49think the best spot to go is Jared Allen. Like the Bucks
22:52just aren't rebounding the ball to start the year. So,
22:55Jared Allen over eleven and a half rebounds is sitting at
22:57plus 104. The Bucks are 25 rebounds per game which is not
23:00something you would expect but not something we've seen from
23:02them. This team that with with the 10th Kumball, with Brook
23:05Lopez, with Bobby Force, like these players should be
23:07rebounding the ball and they're just failing to do so. So, I
23:09don't know if they just haven't flipped the switch yet because
23:11it's early in the season but give me Jared Allen who has
23:14gotten over this number in five of the seven games. He's he's
23:17picking up seventeen and fifteen boards as he's been
23:19known to do throughout his career. So, I like the Bucks.
23:23Uh I think they cover. I'm not sure if they win tonight but I
23:25really like Allen tonight going over with the boards. The
23:28Bucks beat the shorthanded Sixers in the season debut.
23:32Have lost five straight since. Have not covered in any of
23:35those games including at home over the weekend against
23:39Cleveland as a two-point favorite. Losing that game
23:41outright by a point. The Cavaliers remain perfect. The
23:44only in the Eastern Conference. They have covered in all seven
23:47wins as well. Tom Vecchio, time is appreciated always, my
23:51man. More on the Irvine up next. The ending of week
23:54number nine, Monday Night Football tonight in Arrowhead.
23:57The home of the two-time reigning Super Bowl champion,
24:00Kansas City Chiefs. The home of the only undefeated team left
24:04in the NFL. Casey enters seven and oh. Heavily favored to make
24:09it a perfect eight four eight. Nine and a half point spread
24:13DRS in favor of the Chiefs. Forty-five and a half is the
24:17total. Let's start with the spread and that's the money
24:20line. Are the Chiefs in any danger of dropping their first
24:23game of the year outright tonight against Baker in the
24:26Bucks? Yeah, no shot. No shot. They're winning this football
24:30game. Again, if they're the somewhat hell, it's crazy too
24:32like the Kansas City Chiefs are healthier at the wide receiver
24:35position than Tampa Bay is kind of wild to say, but it just
24:37goes to show how what how much Tampa Bay has been through. For
24:40my money tonight, I don't think there's any way that they're
24:43gonna lose this game. I just don't see it. Yeah, I would
24:45agree DRS. I believe Kansas City will be eight and oh at
24:48the end of the night, but that's not what we do here. We
24:51don't just say this team that's minus 460 on the money line is
24:54going to win. So pick them outright. Will Casey cover as a
24:58nine and a half point favorite? That is the question. The
25:01Buccaneers have not covered in three consecutive games as a
25:05dog. Seven wins in seven games this year for Kansas City. They
25:09have covered the number in five of seven, but Donny a six and a
25:13half point favorite three times this year for Casey just one
25:17and two against the spread hefty number in favor of the
25:20Chiefs tonight. Can they win this game by double digits? I
25:24believe they can, but also just going over through some of the
25:26weather stuff here. Just saw that little cloud pop up on my
25:29screen here. Rain is in the forecast precipitation over 50%,
25:33so we're gonna see that tonight. Windy conditions not
25:35necessarily because yesterday we talked about it so much on
25:37the desk Ben with that game between the Green Bay Packers
25:40and Detroit was like boy. Do we really know how bad this is
25:42going to be Gus up to 30 miles an hour. It rained all the way
25:44through and it was terrible. So could this be more of a ground
25:47attack and also who would that really favor like my homes? I
25:49think can operate in any weather just the way he plays
25:52their passing games should be fine and Kareem Hunt should be
25:55an absolute jackhammer in this game where you don't really
25:57look towards the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as leaning on the
25:59ground game, but that could affect some things where we
26:01talk about this game staying probably under the total. That
26:04might be another little hindrance here for that game
26:06getting over. So I just wanted to start there, but for my
26:08money on this, the Kansas City Chiefs the total probably
26:10staying more to the under, but I do think that's a win in the
26:13cover still for the Kansas City Chiefs. DRS speaking of that
26:17weather the rain and the wind yesterday at Lambeau number was
26:2047 and a half. I had seen the bad weather projected just
26:23forgot to bet the total New York City Marathon here
26:26yesterday out and about having a great time on the cab ride
26:29home tuned into red zone saw how bad it was coming down in
26:33Lambeau even after the Packers scored that initial field goal.
26:36I still bet the number losing a couple of points at 45 and a
26:40half live to the under stayed well under and frankly here we
26:44are again. The Chiefs offense has been okay. It hasn't been
26:48overly prolific because of the injuries and frankly because
26:52Patrick Mahomes has not been his stellar self eight
26:55touchdowns, but to nine interceptions. He has thrown an
26:58INT in all seven games for KC this year under in four of
27:02seven, but Donnie here we are again. The Chiefs defense has
27:06been elite this season third best scoring defense in the
27:09NFL holding the opposition to 20 points or less in six of
27:13seven. The only team to break through 20 the Bengals who
27:16scored 25 in week number two. Now the Bucks have been airing
27:21it out and we expect the same out of Baker Mayfield even
27:24without Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. Can they score enough to
27:28push us to an over tonight of 45 and a half? That seems to be
27:33my question. I lean under. Yeah. No, I'm with you on this
27:36because like Baker Mayfield with two top wide receivers can
27:39go toe to toe with any defense here. He's a gunslinger. It's
27:41what he does. Interceptions and touchdowns usually great for
27:44the over, but look at the starting wide receivers Jaylin
27:46McMillan, who is a good college wide receiver coming into the
27:49pros trying to make a name for himself, but he was supposed to
27:51make the three or four option here on this team. Now he's
27:54thrust in the number one Trey Palmer Sterling Shepard might
27:56not go tonight with an injury Rakim Jarrett Ryan Miller, and
27:59then it leaves you with Kate Otten. I just don't see the
28:02explosive plays on offense. It also been we talk about Kansas
28:05City like again. It wasn't too a few short years ago. It's
28:07like, hey, you know, it's bags. Just give me a stop in the
28:09fourth quarter so you can win a football game. This is a
28:12legitimately good defense on Kansas City where if you're
28:15adding in some rain and not a lot of weapons here, why is
28:18Tampa Bay going to get close to 16 to 20 points? That's the
28:20question over in five straight for the Bucks. The third best
28:25scoring offense in the NFL averaging nearly 29 and a half
28:28points per game. In fact, this Tampa team has scored 26
28:32consecutive or 26 points or more in five consecutive games.
28:35They've also allowed 27 points or more in four straight games.
28:39It's why they have been such an over team. I think now second
28:43week without those two top targets. Does it regress
28:47slightly in a negative way? That is why I lean under Don. If
28:51you had to pick your favorite prop bet of the night, what
28:54gets your attention even with the rain? It's Patrick Holmes
28:57over one and a half touchdown passes. He's got a lot of
28:59weapons here as we talk to Tom here. This has got to be one of
29:02those Deandre Hopkins. We're going to be a couple of red zone
29:04targets. That's what you got him for Travis Kelsey. Great red
29:07zone target and also don't keep out there a little Xavier
29:09worthy trickeration here or maybe a pop pass in the red
29:13zone specifically if it's slick surface. That's something to
29:16watch out for. That's touchdown passes baby. Can we get a pop
29:20pass to a backup tight end tonight to bring somebody
29:24through the door might be what Joe is yelling out if he bet on
29:27Noah Gray somehow some way you heard that Tom Vecchia was
29:32really in on Deandre Hopkins. DRS bad on me. I get Deandre
29:37Hopkins last year nuke at the age of 32. He turned 32 in the
29:42summer still was over a thousand yard receiver for the
29:45Titans last year. Did you know that I kind of forgot about
29:48that? The production is still been there. Although he wasn't
29:51Deandre Hopkins of his Texan season again. I kind of like
29:54what Vecchia was saying here. Forty-four and a half could be
29:57light if the passing offense with Mahomes is pretty solid
30:00against the Buccaneers secondary that has not been great all
30:03year. And by the way, here's what your boy doesn't need
30:06tonight, Ben. As I talked about that rate in the forecast, it's
30:09humid enough where we might see a lightning delay. Come on. Your
30:12boy can't get in with two thirty tonight. Maybe if you're
30:15winning betting tickets at this point, that would help out but I
30:17see stuff like that in the month of November. It's very
30:20disheartening, Ben. It's very disheartening. I mean, DRS is
30:23going to be staying up anyway to watch Baylor and Gonzaga.
30:27You would think he wouldn't mind just sitting in the studio.
30:29Switch over live to that game. Yeah. For sure. NFL football
30:33in-game live game day becomes Gonzaga Baylor college
30:37basketball in-game live game day. Sounds pretty good. VJ
30:41Edgecomb going off over his points prop. Graham EK, Ryan
30:45Nemhard, Andrew is his older brother who also played at
30:48Gonzaga. By the way, Kareem Hunt minus one ninety two hit
30:51paydirt. DRS, he scored four touchdowns in the last three
30:54games for KC. By the way, KC and Tom might be the the
30:58preemptive here late night here before he handed over to the
31:01early line tomorrow. This game might finish so late. You never
31:03know. Well, no, you gotta get some energy. Yeah, you gotta
31:07get some energy Joker in there. Come on.
