00:00Preseason finale, the third and final week of the National Football League
00:04preseason is now in the books. We look back on the weekend. That was two games
00:10on Thursday, three more on Friday, eight on Saturday, mixed in with your week
00:15zero college football and a triple header yesterday to round it all out.
00:20Now we didn't see starters in all that many spots, but where we did we react
00:25to live right here on this Monday morning on the early line on SportsGrid.
00:30So DRS, now the dress rehearsals are done. Before we get to the roster
00:34decisions that must be made this week in all 32 NFL training camps, let's look
00:40back first on the Sunday slate. We'll talk about the games that were not
00:44Sunday night football. The Broncos, led by Zach Wilson, he threw two
00:49touchdowns, complete a perfect and undefeated 3-0 preseason run. 38 to
00:5512, the victory over the Cardinals. The Titans knock off the Saints yesterday,
00:5932-27. Spencer Rattler looking pretty good for New Orleans throughout this
01:05preseason. Now let's go to Sunday night football. The Commanders at home in
01:09Landover pick up their first victory of preseason action. Great, 20 to 10, the
01:14victory over the Patriots. My main concern though DRS is New England, a team
01:21that enters 2024 with the lowest win total in the National Football League in
01:26all three preseason games, played all four of their quarterbacks, including
01:31week number two against the Eagles to open up week two action. They put Bailey
01:35Zappi back in to try to win a meaningless football game in the
01:39preseason, and they still go one and two, putting up 17 points at the most, and
01:47that was week number one. All four quarterbacks playing yesterday. Drake
01:51May threw a touchdown and looked pretty darn good.
01:55Jacoby Brissett got banged up on the opening offensive possession of the game.
01:59I am even more concerned about New England entering the regular season
02:03after the preseason than I was at any time during the offseason. The thing
02:09that's crazy about it too is the way they're playing the quarterbacks.
02:12Typically it's going to be like, okay, we brought in the veteran Jacoby Brissett,
02:15we signed him to be our starter, we're going to draft a young quarterback. If
02:17the young quarterback does outplay him in camp, we'll probably start him. So if
02:20we just focus on that, Brissett getting banged up I'm sure didn't help, but
02:24Drake May threw 20 times that game more than any other quarterback on that New
02:27England roster, and quite frankly, a buck 26, touchdown pass, pass rating of
02:3199.2. You loved what you saw, but I don't know if the Bailey Zappi 0-for-1
02:35was, oh no, if Brissett is hurt long term, we're going to need Zappi, or the
02:39way they handled Zappi in the preseason, like he has a guaranteed spot on this
02:44roster, but you don't want to play him and the quarterbacks ahead of him aren't
02:47very good. Like I don't understand really what they're doing. Now, the one
02:49thing you do want to do is see what you have in Joe Milton, and you're finding
02:52out 5 of 17, 78 yards, a 46 pass rating. Like, it's a shame that for something
02:58that just doesn't click for this kid, can you imagine if he was a pure pocket
03:01passer with that long, just wide, as a wide receiver myself, you run any route
03:06on the field, 50 yards downfield, he could put it right on your hands, it
03:09would be crazy, but he obviously just can't do that. Now, he's still young
03:12technically, maybe he learns his way around the NFL, but this is a disaster
03:16quarterback scenario, because quite frankly, if you ask a Patriots fan
03:21today, Ben, who's your best quarterback? They probably just say, just put Zappi
03:25out there, at least the offense moves at this point, or you just throw with Drake
03:28May. We don't know, we've had this question for a while, we don't know what's
03:32going on with New England. The one thing we know is, they stink.
03:36Listen, Drake May was pretty good. He led a touchdown drive in his first drive out
03:41there, finished the final four drives after that of the first half, they missed
03:45a field goal right before the break, and again, you see the numbers on the third
03:49overall pick, who a lot of people question, was he game ready to start off
03:54his NFL career? His own head coach and Jerron Mayo said, no, not really, Jacoby
03:59Brissett, the most pro-ready quarterback that we have entering training camp. I
04:03don't know if I would argue that statement at this point, but Drake May
04:07has looked pretty solid throughout preseason. 13-20, 126 yards
04:12yesterday, and a touchdown, had a rushing score for New England week number two.
04:16We'll get to Brissett in just a moment, I do want to comment on Joe Milton. During
04:20the broadcast, Chris Collinsworth was talking about a conversation he had with
04:24Milton, where Milton said he can throw the football 95 yards, and hopes by the
04:28start of next year, he can throw it the entire length of the field, a hundred
04:32yards. It is perfectly Joe Milton to say that, and then go out and be five of 17
04:38for 78 passing yards. Now, Jacoby Brissett got the start for the Patriots, was
04:43injured on the sixth offensive play when he was sacked on his right throwing
04:48shoulder. Here was his head coach, Jerron Mayo, after the game, quote, he would have
04:53been able to continue, he said he was good. The team will check on Brissett
04:58tomorrow, as he more than likely is the week one starter for the Pats.
05:04Again, it's wild to think, it's almost like now, like why did you even get
05:07Jacoby Brissett? Like, you have really no talent on offense with a no talent
05:11quarterback, like a game manager is supposed to have weapons, a
05:14game manager with no weapons? Get out of here, man. It's not good in New England,
05:19more preseason reactions to start our two next. Takeaways from the final
05:24weekend of preseason action, week number three around the national football
05:28league. It's how we start our number two on this Monday, live right here on the
05:32early line. He is Donnie Rightside, I am Ben Stevens. Two more hours to go up
05:37until 11 a.m. Eastern time. We've got some PGA Tour and golf recaps coming up
05:43in just a little bit as we enter the third and final leg of the FedExCup
05:47postseason this week at the Tour Championship at Eastlake in Atlanta.
05:52Women's Open Championship yesterday, and Lydia Ko continues her sensational
05:56summer. And how about the final Grand Slam of the year? Our producer extraordinaire
06:01and tennis aficionado Joe Frizzo steps out from behind the scenes and in front
06:07of the camera to get you set for the U.S. Open in Queens that starts today. Donnie's
06:12got the hard-hitting questions that you need to know. We'll talk some national
06:16football league futures later on in this second hour, now that the preseason is in
06:20the books as well. And by the way, also, we're talking about some of these other
06:24championships and millions of dollars up for grabs. If, again, I was Commissioner of
06:29Sports, nobody would be colliding with opening weekend of college football and
06:33professional football. If you are a golf, end your season early in August. If you
06:37are tennis, end your season early in August. Get those last bit of dollars up
06:42here. Stop beating your head against the wall going up against the fall season
06:46here. I don't know why we do it, which, again, leads us to, hey, look at the
06:48FedExCup here. Who actually watched the FedExCup this weekend? And you only had
06:52a week zero slate in football and just random Major League Baseball schedule on
06:57a Sunday. Tough, tough times. Football is king, regardless of when and where it is
07:04played, whether it is in the collegiate ranks or, of course, in the National
07:07Football League. And there probably was a focus for many around the NFL on
07:11Saturday in one of the eight games early on between the Steelers and the Lions in
07:16Detroit. Not so much because of what the Lions would do or what the end result
07:20was, but what is Pittsburgh going to do at the quarterback spot? Mike Tomlin has
07:26been pretty steady in the fact that he believes it is going to be Russell
07:30Wilson as the starting quarterback in the Steel City. Russ got the start on
07:35Saturday against Detroit. One offensive possession led to a touchdown. He was
07:39two of two for 26 yards. Justin Fields on the very next offensive possession
07:45for Pittsburgh leads a touchdown drive. Got two more drives after that. Three of
07:50four in total for 40 yards and yes, leading a touchdown drive. Donnie, are
07:55you sold at the end of the preseason that Russell Wilson is the starter for
07:59the Steelers? I'll tell you, I'm not sold on it either way because I don't
08:03like the way they handled it. But also Mike Tomlin in that postgame press
08:06conference sort of made me laugh. If I want to paraphrase, I think he said like
08:08that might have been the greatest drive I've ever seen by a professional
08:10quarterback. Russell Wilson's two for two, which ended in a 31 yard run by
08:14Cordero Patterson. Boy, he's ready to be the starter of our football team. And
08:18Fields basically did the exact same thing. It looks way more, way more
08:22athletic than Russell Wilson does. But we were the one state, if you will, here
08:25for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They told us early on, Justin Fields has absolutely
08:30no shot to be our starting quarterback in week number one. And it looks like
08:33that's going to hold true at this point, just based on Tomlin's postgame
08:37presser. But say, boy, what a leader that was out there going up against
08:40fifth string defense and leading us to a touchdown drive. Finally, yeah, that was
08:44impressive. The Lions barely played anybody. It's not Dan Campbell's cup of
08:50tea in the preseason, despite how competitive they are throughout the
08:54regular season. So I guess you're fired up by what you saw out of Russ or maybe
08:59the Steelers offense in total. They did lose the game to the Lions, I believe.
09:05Let me check that score just to make sure that they did lose. They did, right?
09:0824-17 Detroit on top. Hendon Hooker back for Detroit this preseason. He was a
09:14day two pick last year for the Lions after a sensational 2022 at Tennessee
09:20before his season came up short with a torn ACL. He looked pretty good throughout
09:25the preseason, confirming that backup spot, I would believe, in the Motor City
09:29behind Jared Goff. Again, Russell Wilson, probably the starter. It's a reunion of
09:34sorts for Arthur Smith in Atlanta. The Falcons host the Steelers in two Sundays
09:40at home as a three-point favorite. What's to make of Trey Lance? Is he the future in
09:48Dallas if they cannot sign Dak Prescott to that long-term extension? It's not like
09:53Lance is under contract entering next year either, and I don't think he's going
09:57to be. Five interceptions on Saturday against the Chargers. He played all game,
10:04so some of the sums and the numbers, 323 passing yards, 49 attempts, 39 completions,
10:1090 yards on the ground, and two touchdowns look okay, but five INTs for the Cowboys and
10:18Trey Lance against the Chargers this weekend. Yeah, and if you were playing in a fantasy
10:23football league that didn't go negative when you throw interceptions, he was fantastic.
10:27323 and a touchdown in the air, 11 carries, 90 on the ground, and a touchdown. That's
10:31great, but this is exactly where you worry about Trey Lance. Understand it. He hasn't
10:35played a lot of football since being a professional, but that doesn't mean you get into a game
10:39where it's like, hey, we're going to let you throw 50 times. Just throw it all over
10:42the place, and it doesn't matter to what jersey, because that's what it looked like
10:44was happening. All those times under Kyle Shannon, the fun I used to have when it used
10:49to be preseason camp or OTAs. You never even got the fake planted report out of San Francisco
10:55that goes, this kid looks amazing in practice, even when he's bad, when most teams will do
10:59that. You never heard anything, and I guess this is the reason why. He's just not a professional
11:04quarterback. All the talent in the world, and yes, maybe injuries did derail some things,
11:08but you should not be having your showcase game. I'm the backup quarterback. Watch me
11:12be willy-nilly with the football and throw five interceptions, and we're not talking
11:16about the steel curtain defense of the 70s from the Steelers. You're talking about no
11:21starters on the Chargers picking you off left and right. And this was a Chargers team that
11:28got locked in an elevator for close to two hours over the weekend as well. Did you see
11:35Jim Harbaugh's reaction and his quote postgame to his team being locked in an elevator together,
11:40including quarterback Justin Herbert? Harbaugh is just the best man. The way that he just
11:47speaks about the world in times when it revolves solely around football is hysterical. He was
11:53jealous of the 10 to 12 guys that got stuck in the elevator together, said it was a great
11:58bonding experience for the Bolts. They were in there, no AC, no airflow for up to two hours.
12:05Everybody came out. They were sweating. Not Justin Herbert, which showed to his new head
12:10coach Jim Harbaugh that the leader of the Bolts is cool under pressure. I mean, it was one of the
12:15all-time football guy isms out of Jim Harbaugh in terms of the LA Chargers getting caught in an
12:22elevator for up to a couple hours. Yeah, you know, and also like, what do you do in that
12:27elevator for two hours? Now, granted, everybody probably has their phone. So maybe you just whip
12:31out some games and have some fun and do that stuff. But after like 10 minutes, don't you get
12:36extremely bored in there? Then it's 20, then it's 30, then it's an hour, then it's an hour and a
12:40half and it's hot. That has got to be an awful scenario. And also we're not talking about
12:44probably a service elevator that is like absolutely massive, like they're setting up a concert.
12:49You're stuck in probably a regular elevator. Do you even get any room in there? And we're also
12:53not talking about a bunch of five, five dudes at 135 pounds, NFL guys. Like, are you just a
12:59sardine in there for two hours? I mean, Jim Harbaugh would have been in there and made them
13:04sit in a circle cross leg like it's preschool and would have been doing kumbayas with his team
13:09to get ready again in all time quote elsewhere around week number three. We did see some
13:16starters in a couple of spots, including for Jacksonville against the Falcons on Friday.
13:21We told you about this on Friday. Line was a touchdown in favor of the Jags. Easy win. 31 zip.
13:27Trevor Lawrence looked great against Atlanta's backups. Eight of 10, 92 yards, two touchdowns.
13:32Mack Jones slinging a touchdown. Michael Pennix Jr. He looked like he was only on the sideline
13:38for whatever reason. He has not played the last two weeks. See you in 2027. Michael Pennix Jr.
13:43Brock Purdy, an interception in two consecutive games, week two and week three. He played on
13:51Friday for San Francisco. Again, not the greatest outing, a tie 24, 24 between the Niners and the
13:59Raiders on Friday night. Yeah. And also it took a little bit of a beating there out of the pocket
14:04for Brock Purdy. I don't mind you playing your starters at this point, but if you're going to
14:07play them, hopefully they're like absolutely tremendous when they're out there and not
14:11getting hit a lot. But Hey, that's something to be said. You're getting your guys ready for the
14:15regular season. As long as guys aren't getting injured, it's probably better for you to start
14:18the season that way. So there they go for the Niners. We saw Gino Smith make his preseason
14:24debut four for five 62 yards and a touchdown. Baker Mayfield played on Friday. The Bucks were
14:30a nine and a half point favorite against the Dolphins. They won that football game and covered
14:34by Ted Price. Y'all got bad as well over the weekend. The preseason in the national football
14:41league is now done this week around the NFL training camp comes to a close. And with the
14:48end of camp, you make your roster decisions to decide that 53 man active roster. There might be
14:54some moves that happened this week. That's surprise some releases around the NFL that could
14:59present opportunities elsewhere. But then once those decisions are made, Donnie and the 53 man
15:05roster is fully decided, it is a focus only on the regular season in week number one game
15:13preparation. So as we continue that momentum into a regular season, we have some fun continuously
15:20with the futures fusion on the fan dual sports book, either a combination of bets that kind of
15:25looks like a season long parlay or using some of those fusions to put together our own match bets
15:32for conversations here on the early line. Sounds like a pretty fun Monday to me. Yeah, load up,
15:39get ready because we're only about week and a half out from the start of the NFL season. And
15:43there's going to be some interesting wagers that have to be talked about, even if they're
15:47hypothetical per se, and you don't want to wager on them. We're going to give you some anecdotes
15:51here to have some fun with. And this might be our last day of football fusion. So we go out with
15:57a bang today. We are using fusions in comparing them against one another. And these hypothetical
16:04match bets, the San Francisco 49ers, where they went total of 11 and a half, despite some shaky
16:09preseason play out of Brock Purdy to win more games in the Rams and Seahawks combined. That's
16:15a six to one number by itself, or the Cowboys win the NFC East and the Eagles win less than
16:22nine games. That would be eight or fewer at plus 550 DRS. As you look at this theoretical match
16:29bet, which side would you wager on? I think it's pretty easy here. So let's just take a look at
16:34both sides, right? The 49ers win more games than the Rams and the Seahawks combined, which you're
16:39saying horrendous football teams usually win five games in the NFL, which would mean that the Rams
16:45are horrendous. If you think that's the case, I necessarily don't think so. Or the Seahawks are
16:49horrendous, which again, if you think that's the case, I don't really think so. That's 10 wins
16:53here. So automatically the 49ers would have to win more games, which means 11 from those teams.
16:58Let's just say the Rams are average eight and nine. The Seahawks are right around average
17:03seven and you know, 10 at that point, you know, as you line them up, what do we have to win 16,
17:0817 games? That's not happening here. So the plus 600 will be off the table. And they say,
17:13is there something better there? Absolutely. There is the Cowboys to win the NFC and the Eagles
17:18to win less than nine games. So if plus five 50, the difference in price point, it's only 50 cents
17:23at that point. Let's factor into this. If the Cowboys win the NFC East, they're probably going
17:28to win 10 plus games, which means a minimum of 10 and seven. You look at the Philadelphia Eagles
17:33winning less than nine games, which is eight and nine coming off the season where they absolutely
17:37imploded down the stretch. Now I'm an Eagle fan. Do I think it's necessarily going to happen? But
17:41what happens if Jalen hurts doesn't play that? Well, when I was a Vic Fangio's defense is really
17:46bad this season. Again, we're not projecting it to be that way, but if you have a six to one price
17:50and a plus five 50 price, it's very feasible to say the Cowboys will win the NFC East and the
17:56Eagles could finish with eight wins. That's feasible to me. So I'd rather bet that plus
18:00five 50 price there on the Cowboys and the Eagles bet than the 49ers combination with the Rams and
18:05the Seahawks. Again, frankly, I'm surprised that six to one price is only six to one for
18:12that futures fusion between the 49ers and the Rams and Seahawks. That's one bet by itself.
18:18And then we compare it to the Cowboys winning the NFC East and the Eagles component as well.
18:23The Niners win total is 11 and a half. It is up there second highest in the NFL,
18:27only behind the chiefs also at 11 and a half. But Sam Fran has the juice on the under Casey
18:33on the over, but the Rams have an eight and a half wind total. The over has the juice. The
18:38Seahawks have a seven and a half wind total year. Number one of the Mike McDonald era
18:42up in the Northwest. The over has the juice nine wins, at least expected for the Rams
18:49eight wins expected for the Seahawks. If that's going to be the case,
18:53San Francisco can't even better that even if they went undefeated. So that's a very lofty
18:59expectation for San Francisco and terrible expectations for LA and Seattle. And again,
19:05it's a six to one price, the world of the Cowboys when the NFC East and the Eagles
19:10finished with less than nine wins is not the craziest thing that has ever happened in an NFL
19:15season. And I can't believe it's only 50 cents less than that of the 49ers component of this
19:21futures fusion. I don't expect the Cowboys to win the NFC East, not only the curse of winning the
19:27NFC East the year prior in that division, but the Eagles are just a better football team,
19:3210 and a half, the wind total for Philadelphia. How about Cooper to Jean little TFL over the
19:37weekend for the birds, preseason action, not just the safety. He's ready. I'm telling you,
19:44he's ready. He looks the part right now. Looking, I just would like the one thing that would really
19:48set it off in Philadelphia. And I know it can't happen, but could Darius Slade give up the number
19:52two and just throw it out over like Cooper Dejean as a single digit player back there.
19:55I mean, that would really just set things off. You want to talk about a Jersey that will be
19:59bought from everything that was tremendous at that point. Yeah. Can, can you imagine the
20:04Darties at temple and around Philadelphia, not Villanova, that school's no fun, but elsewhere
20:09around in Philadelphia, the Cooper to Jean jerseys that are going to be making their way out there,
20:14especially if the number was to, wow, that would be something. Second futures fusion,
20:21the giants and the jets played each other in the preseason finale at MetLife, no Daniel Jones,
20:27no drew lock, only Tommy DeVito, no Aaron Rogers for the New York jets. The jets picked up a
20:33victory over the G-Men. So we compare the two New York teams here. Once again, the giants when at
20:39least three more games in the jets at 12 to one, again, I can't believe that's just 12 to one,
20:45the bears and the commanders combined for 25 plus wins. That's 50 to one. I'm going to say
20:53neither, but if I had to pick one, I actually think it's the bears and the commanders.
20:58Yeah, but it should be 120 to one, not 12 to one here for the giants,
21:02win three more games than the jets. But I guess if you're breaking it down, like, yeah, okay.
21:06Sala could get fired. Uh, Aaron Rogers gets hurt again, week number one, they trade everybody away
21:11by week number four. And that's how you would get three more wins possibly than the jets or
21:15excuse me, the giants would get over the jets, but I do. And granted 50 to one on the other side,
21:19the bears and the commanders to rookie quarterbacks out here, averaging, let's just say 12 and a half
21:23wins per season this year would be quite frankly. So, I mean, but again, if you're betting lottery
21:30tickets, you're probably going to take the 50 to one price here better than the giants. Because
21:34what does that theoretically mean? Like the giants wind up with 12 wins on the season.
21:38That's not happening here. So I'd rather take the 50 to one price and at least feel like I
21:42have a lottery ticket chance at winning money at the end of the season. I think the over for
21:47the giants wind toll of six and a half should be 12 to one. The under has the juice right now. I
21:52don't think New York even gets to seven wins a little bit more futures fusion for the mind of
21:58Joe Friezo. All right. So the futures fusion selection on the fan dual sports book, we've
22:03pretty much used up everything here. So now we go to the mind, not a fan duel, but Friezo,
22:09our tennis aficionado, who was here earlier in the second hour to preview the U S open the final
22:14grand slam of this year in tennis. And now a theoretical match bet that we are going to select,
22:20which is more likely as we get ready for 2024. What's more likely Josh Allen never wins an MVP
22:28award or Lamar Jackson never makes a super bowl. That's a tough one to decide DRS, which one are
22:37you going with? Yeah, by the way, what we've seen, we've been doing this though. I wish we
22:41would add a hypothetical price point in there placed on it. Or are we just imagining this is
22:45plus 100 minus one 10 on each side of this? Because if you're looking at it overall,
22:50Lamar Jackson is an unbelievably talented quarterback, Josh Allen, an unbelievably
22:56talented quarterback. We're asking them on this question, doing two separate things.
23:00You can have a wonderful regular season, which Lamar Jackson has had multiple times and take
23:06down an MVP making a super bowl is a completely other story, which the Ravens should have made
23:11last year. It was all set up for them to win it. But again, questionable play calling to say the
23:16least wasn't able to overcome that horrendous AFC championship game. So for my money, it actually
23:22would be Lamar Jackson never making a super bowl because I'm just going off the data that I have
23:28wonderful regular season, questionable postseason. The one thing I know about Josh Allen,
23:33and this is always banking on, you're not going to be injured and missing significant time.
23:38Josh Allen is awesome. He's going to put up great numbers throughout a regular season.
23:42They could win the AFC East, which could give them a bump. Now also flipping it back to Lamar
23:46Jackson, never making a super bowl. Do you know why Patrick Holmes is in his prime in the same
23:53conference here as he is, that is the ultimate roadblock year after year after year. And if you
23:59didn't beat Patrick Holmes last year, when you had him on the ropes in an AFC championship game
24:05with a horrendous wide receiving core, I don't know if you can bounce it from now. So just for me,
24:09simplicity, Josh can have a great regular season when that MVP Lamar Jackson to get to a super
24:15bowl, probably going to have to go through the Kansas city page, Kansas city. And quite frankly,
24:19that game probably going to be an arrowhead next time around as well.
24:23You know, DRS, I think you're pretty spot on in terms of there was an odds component to this. Of
24:28course, Joe Friso made it up that Josh Allen's side of this conversation would be the favored
24:34number. Maybe it's not minus 500 versus seven to one, and maybe it's not the plus money. We just
24:39saw a couple of segments ago, but I still think it'd be minus one 50 to plus one 25. Why not?
24:46Because I believe Josh Allen is going to run away with an MVP award at some point in his NFL career,
24:52but what he is trying to accomplish is solely dictated on the individual. If Josh Allen is good,
24:58Buffalo is good. If Josh Allen throws for 4,200 yards and adds in like 10 rushing scores,
25:05that probably means Buffalo wins at least 10, 11, maybe 12 games. They could win the AFC East.
25:11The NFL MVP award is a regular season award, as we have seen with Lamar Jackson in years past.
25:20So I would go with Josh Allen as well. I also think the second component of this conversation
25:26is the Ravens make a super bowl, not win a super bowl, because I do believe in Lamar Jackson's
25:34career. Baltimore will make a super bowl, or at the very, very least, the flock will have more
25:40opportunities to be in an AFC championship game. I would say maybe two to three more, despite
25:48Lamar Jackson's playoff record during his tenure in the Charm City. He is just two and four,
25:53and there are very real arguments to be made to poke holes into the postseason resume. Questions
26:00I'm sure Lamar understands and has to answer with his playoff performances. But overall,
26:06the Ravens have the second best price to win the AFC at plus 550. This year, Josh Allen has the
26:12second best price to win the NFL MVP award at eight to one. So theoretically, the number actually
26:19might be shorter on Baltimore than the individual in Josh Allen. I still think that Allen would be
26:25the favored port of this matchpad and might get my money, although you could entice a plus money
26:31sprinkle on the Ravens. Yeah, here's the tough part about Lamar Jackson is maybe last year,
26:36the stars were aligned. That was their Super Bowl championship. They hammered San Francisco
26:40late in that season. They had home field advantage against a Kansas City team that was not as
26:44talented as the versions that we've seen in the past. Rhymes me back about 20 some plus years ago,
26:49where the Eagles had their Super Bowl taken away from them by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
26:53in the last game at Veterans Stadium, then went on to hammer Oakland, which the Philadelphia
26:57Eagles would have hammered Oakland and had a Super Bowl championship. But yet again,
27:01decades later, they were able to pick up a victory. But I just look at that
27:05season last year. That was the Ravens season, and they let that one slip away and shame on them.
27:11That they certainly were. And it's not just getting through Kansas City.
27:15It's a lot of other really good teams in a competitive AFC hour three up next on the air.
