00:00National Football League headlines around training camp as we approach the regular season just two weeks and one day away
00:08From the season opener on Thursday, September 5th inside Arrowhead Stadium a rematch of last year's AFC championship game
00:16Between the Chiefs and the Ravens speaking of a championship game
00:19But in the other conference will the Dallas Cowboys ever get back to the NFC title game?
00:25I'll tell you one thing that would help signing CD lamb
00:29Jerry Jones who likes to talk in front of microphones continue to do that yesterday
00:34I'll talk in terms of having promising talks with CD lamb in
00:39progressing to a new contract as the star wideout for Dallas continues his holdout from
00:45Training camp reportedly the Cowboys had offered CD lamb a thirty three million dollar per year
00:51Salary that would make him the second highest paid wide receiver in the National Football League
00:56But still backed by two million bucks per season behind Justin Jefferson
01:01And I think CD lamb has every right to argue. He should be paid like Justin Jefferson
01:06He is as prolific as Justin Jefferson a fellow first round draft pick in the 2020 NFL draft
01:14So Donnie, do you put any stake into what Jerry is saying that they're having quote promising talks with CD lambs representation?
01:21Like I mean you had like six to eight months at this point to have those promising talks and CD lamb
01:26this is what I love about the Dallas Cowboys to is it's very rare that I come on because I'll look at Jamar chase in
01:31Cincinnati and say if he doesn't show up in week number one, you still got T Higgins. You still got borough
01:35It's like, you know, they could probably manage here
01:37You take a look at the San Francisco 49ers Ben and you say to yourself Brandon
01:41I if he doesn't show up in week number one, you know
01:43They'll probably be fine and they can certainly manage
01:45Like I feel like CD lamb has such a leverage position with the Dallas Cowboys because honestly and I understand one player doesn't make
01:53An entire season, but I feel like CD lamb shows up you pencil them in for ten wins on the season
01:59You pencil them in for fighting the Philadelphia Eagles with the NFC East championship and maybe winning a playoff game or two
02:04Which you know winning two of those is pretty unlikely, but you feel me on this if he doesn't show up week number one
02:10Why does it feel like the Cowboys are a seven win football team?
02:12It just feels that way like if I'm CD lambs management I go, you know what I told you
02:17I wanted Justin Jefferson money now
02:19I want Dak Prescott money at this point and I feel like it's almost like the Cowboys have to pay him like for one outside
02:24Of just like Patrick Mahomes not showing up
02:26We understand or even like Dak Prescott because the quarterbacks we know is certainly more important than other positions on the field
02:31But if you just say CD lamb takes the lady on Bell strategy, I'm just not playing this year
02:36It feels like all hope is lost for the Dallas Cowboys
02:39They better pay him and pay him a lot and pay him sooner than later to get him back in that lineup. I
02:45Completely agree DRS
02:46There is not going to be a bigot market mover or a change on a team's roster than the quarterback
02:51Spot and you can argue what Dak Prescott's ceiling is in terms of playoff success for Dallas, but there's no doubt
02:58He's one of the ten best quarterbacks in the National Football League who has been the starter at the star for eight
03:04consecutive seasons in large part
03:07I would still argue however that CD lamb is by far the most important player on
03:13offense outside of the quarterback spot
03:15And I'm not sure what the reason is for the move Dak Prescott is at trading camp
03:21Although he needs a new contract or he enters the final year of his current deal with the Cowboys
03:27But we have seen market movement against the boys all off season when really the only move that should be happening
03:34Barring a devastating injury is
03:36positive movement because the betting public is feeling the optimism on betting your price to win a
03:42Division to go over your win total to maybe finally compete for a conference championship
03:48But in fact Dallas now tied for the fourth best price around the NFC at 8 to 1 earlier this offseason
03:55It was a 6 to 1 price
03:56The Eagles have moved well in front of Dallas in both the NFC East and NFC championship markets
04:03I completely agree Donny
04:04I believe CD lamb is a huge leverage point in a huge changer of Dallas's outlook this
04:11Season now we go to our weekly Jets update this from the mouth of Aaron Rodgers yesterday
04:17But it was strictly about football saying the Jets have made this one of the hardest training camps
04:22He's had it may be close to a decade in terms of how many reps they're doing in what they are doing
04:29It is hard Aaron when you show up to practice and I guess he's finding that out
04:33Yeah, granted. This is what the Jets need. It's not as if you're saying like well, hold on
04:38The Jets have been the playoffs 16 out of the last 17 straight years
04:42We deserve that some time up because that's what works
04:44Apparently not making the playoffs is what's actually the Jets mo
04:47So maybe changing things up and working a little bit harder in the preseason here to get that team ready for week
04:53Number one is what you need and also Aaron Rodgers didn't play a lot of football or take a lot of reps last year
04:58He needs those extra reps. I understand. He knows the playbook. It's Nathaniel Hackett
05:02He's already been there season, but those reps on the field are valuable in training camp and they're getting those now
05:08So I like actually hearing this. Hey, man, it's actually been a hard training camp
05:11You think you're trying to make the playoffs with the first time in a decade and a half at this point?
05:15It better be hard and
05:17Donnie I joke about Aaron Rodgers showing up to practice of course because he missed mandatory minicamp
05:22But I actually do
05:23Think this is a positive thing and the sentiment around the comment was not man
05:28They're really working me like a dog
05:30It was hey, it's good that I am out here to gain these reps to gain this experience with a team and a roster
05:35I haven't really had many game reps with this
05:39finally a positive side of football terms for the New York Jets this offseason and
05:45Training camp was shared yesterday to a tongue of my lowest strong comments on the difference of mentality
05:50Between current head coach in Miami might be Daniel and his former head coach who was there to start off his NFL career
05:56Brian Flores who is now the defensive coordinator with Minnesota Flores had a response and was asked about this after practice for the Vikes
06:04Yesterday saying quote. Look I'm human that hit me in a way that I would not say was positive
06:10I've got to use that and say how can I grow from that? How can I be better?
06:14I thought it was a refreshing take and Flores also added. I was to a nothing but the best right now
06:20I am focused on the 2024 Vikings
06:22Yeah, I wish you would have went out to a bar and had a beer applying for us and got the actual real response what
06:27He probably wanted to say to that question about to attack of my lower
06:29But you do have to learn from your mistakes here
06:31He'll never be a head coach again in the NFL because of that relationship and he probably understands that at this point
06:36So happy with being a defensive coordinator in a way he goes
06:38But I didn't get much out of that other than I was waiting for the admission like yeah, that was me
06:42I don't like that guy. I think he still think he stinks, but he's making a lot of money. Good luck to him
06:46I got a defense to run here
06:48Listen I don't think to his comments were all that inflammatory
06:52He did not think very fondly of Brian Flores, but I thought his transparency was worth it
06:57I think Brian Flores his response in return to what to I had to say also very fair hoping to grow from it from that mentality
07:05understanding what his players needs outside of the X's and O's a
07:10futures forecast around the National Football League to start off our number two
07:15Live right here on this Wednesday on the early line on SportsGrid. He is Donny right side
07:20I am Ben Stevens in our second half an hour
07:23That's when we'll have Mark Zinno join us first for some college football predictions and a look at the week 0 slate including the Dublin debut
07:31Of Florida State and Georgia Tech and then of course we win was in a major league baseball map around this Wednesday as well
07:39But we start the RS with a future for forecast and focused around the NFL
07:46We do and also as I was going over the items that we are going to be doing research on today
07:51The dates did throw me off because there's a segment coming up that said, you know
07:55What how did I miss the Philadelphia Eagles being NFC favorites right now at this point and also going over and not it was gonna win
08:02This year's MVP who's actually gonna win next year's MVP as well. So we go we got the crystal ball today, baby
08:08Completely agree. I think this is really shoddy work out of our production staff and it's one of my pet peeves
08:13It's one of my pet peeves in a very very big way. This will be known as the
08:192024 NFL season we will never call it the 2025 NFL season
08:24It's not even the NBA or college basketball that spans to calendar years
08:28Despite the fact that it does it is referred only to the
08:332024 NFL season so when you see
08:362025 on the screen. No, we do not have an early. Look at the odds. Is it on the next year?
08:42It's where the ticket is going to be cast. Yes. Look there you go
08:49Like you know
08:50it's wild about this too because it says 20 to it like it again like the way your brain works when you bring this up like
08:56You look at it
08:57I can't even function like 24 and 25 because it throws mouth like was that last year was that supposed to be the next year?
09:03Even though we know the mistake has been made your brain still reasoned as the wrong year and it
09:08Completely kibosh is any argument. I want to make because it throws me off every single time. I even try to get started
09:15So listen Joe Frizzo our producer is not wrong. Jesse Metzger who made the graphics is
09:21Not wrong on the fan duel sports book
09:24It says the 2024 25 AFC championship or the regular season
09:30MVP and technically the regular season is even played in a 2025 as week 8 is that first weekend of
09:39January and of course the Super Bowl is in February of
09:422025 and the postseason is in 2025 but in football terms
09:47We categorize it only as the year it is played
09:50We never ever ever say the 2023 24 NFL season
09:56It is just the 2023 NFL campaign. That's where Lamar Jackson won his MVP or now
10:02Upcoming the 2024 NFL season. So Donny right side and I are making a statement here on the early line and please listen
10:10Everybody we are only calling this year
10:152024 we don't care about
10:182025 that is next year. That is how it is properly stated on the early line from here on out
10:26So when you look at the odds as of this moment
10:29It is the prices entering a season with the ticket cash the following year
10:35So on your left Mahomes was the favorite at a 6 to 1 number
10:39Entering last year on your right Patrick Mahomes is the 5 to 1 favorite to win the MVP of this season left
10:48Last season right this season. Don't worry about the dates on
10:53The top Patrick Mahomes remains the favorite to win the NFL MVP award DRS year over year
11:00Yeah, it's again
11:04Formulate an argument
11:07Like
11:082024 is last year like okay
11:10Does that mean because of what I want to actually this is like a home this part this season is a 6 to 1 price
11:15But at the end of this season, he's gonna feel 5 to 1 price at this point
11:19So I understand what what I'm getting at is that's your Mahomes every year is probably gonna be the favorite to start and finish the season
11:24But you're seeing it like next year Mahomes also is going to be the favorite
11:37This is gonna be tough because this is our next three segments we go to the NFC title odds
11:43I
11:47Mean I championship
11:49Next I'm telling you like it's such a simple change
11:52But just the way it reads it completely throws off your entire mindset of trying to get it
11:57We make the argument based on because I'm reading it as like to start the season and then to end the season
12:02There's what his odds are. It's just it's completely trouble me way out of whack, man
12:07And I think the biggest difference is we can kind of understand the column on the right
12:13Because it will be this year and the ticket will be cashed, but these are preseason odds
12:18so
12:19preseason
12:212024 is a little bit difficult to see do you think the boys in the back are scrambling right now?
12:27You think they're trying to change the dates? Oh, yeah coming segments. Yeah
12:31Yeah, here's what I have to do like just in the rundown like we have to change the numbers and just don't bring those
12:36Graphics up. So he's gonna be like I don't have to like because then again the graphic pops up
12:41Which is a fine graphic in itself
12:42But if I'm looking at a different number and then the graphic pops up again, the brain is fried at this point
12:47But at least we know that I guess you could even say like last year this year and next year
12:51My homes will still be the favorites. You can carry that argument all the way through at this point now
12:56So yeah, I get it. It is good the the 2018 and 2022 NFL season
13:02MVP Patrick Mahomes Lamar Jackson entering last year, which was
13:072023 was a 16 to 1 price to win the NFL MVP award of which he accomplished his second in his
13:14National Football League career. He is 15 to 1 this
13:18Season, it's still like that might be even more convoluted
13:24You're making it worse
13:27Joe it is not
13:28Go look up the career stats of Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson
13:33It will never say that Lamar Jackson won the 2023. I
13:38Understand Friezo Friezo. We're making a statement here. It is our work. You guys can't hear Joe Friezo over the air
13:44So we're having an on-air argument with our crew behind the scenes
13:48but it is
13:50Categorized in the way that it is said by our hosts and on the sports grid network is the NFL season is
13:572023 it is not 2023
13:5924 on fan duel her name is Corey Goff and we still call her Coco
14:04so the fan dual sports book has to be logistically legitimate because then you could argue the legality of
14:11Winning wagers for the content nature. We will call last year 2023 in this year
14:182024 it's all good. We're having fun
14:22Let's try to have a conversation around the odds if we even
14:26Can a couple of the biggest changing prices Donnie from before last year to where we are entering?
14:32This year Aaron Rodgers last year 16 to 1 entering 2023 now
14:3725 to 1 entering the 2024 NFL season. This is an interesting one as well. Justin feels
14:45Entering last year for the Chicago Bears
14:49His third NFL season. He was 20 to 1 to win the NFL MVP
14:53There was that optimism for fields entering last year if they could figure things out in the Windy City
14:59That is no longer the case. He is a hundred and fifty to one and of course plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers
15:05You know, it's funny about that too because we keep it in Pittsburgh, too
15:08Don't you remember just a couple short years ago?
15:09It was Mitchell Trubisky
15:11That was the leader in the clubhouse to be the MVP before the season started one year
15:14I mean, it's crazy how you can see those leaps and say, you know what?
15:18I think this guy is going to be able to take over and then remind yourselves at the end of the season
15:22We're even two seasons later. What the heck were we actually thinking?
15:25Mr
15:25Trubisky being one of the favorites to be the MVP of the NFL but that's how you're trying to catch sometimes lightning at a
15:31Bottle because of course it's easy to say it's my homes. It's Alan. It's burrow. It's Herbert
15:35It's hurts here, but somebody's always going to be a surprise like we talked about, you know
15:40quarterbacks for the Houston Texans last year, you know, CJ
15:43Unbelievable player he never thought he was gonna be in the MVP race and in the last month of the season
15:47We were making arguments that he actually could be one of the leaders and be the MVP
15:52so somebody is going to be surprising no doubt about it a
15:56150 to 1 with CJ Stroud's price and yeah his rookie season in Houston
16:01he now has the third best price to win the NFL MVP award at 10 to 1 in
16:06Stroud is also the favorite or has the shortest number to lead the National Football League in passing yards
16:12This year could we see a second-year player when the MVP award perhaps as the odds makers?
16:20expect in
16:222024 NFL season. This is gonna be fun at FC title hot sex
16:28All right. Let's just let we can't bury the lead. Let's show the graphic. Let's make sure we can all be on the same
16:34I'm not making eye contact right over my camera because I don't want to see that graphic
16:38I have the right eye in the rundown and that's where I'm going with. I don't see any of these graphics
16:43Okay, don't look at the graphics. I'm not have the conversation
16:47We try to do the changing year-to-year in the preseason of the NFL MVP
16:52preseason odds last year and
16:54Entering this season if you were listening to the start of our two or watching it went a little bit haywire
17:00We do the same examination of the NFC championship odds entering last year and where things stacked up entering this year
17:07Entering last year the reigning NFC title winners were the Philadelphia Eagles and the graphic looks beautiful. Jesse
17:13All right, Joe and Matt great work. I'm in behind the scenes. Yeah, okay, you're good
17:18Philadelphia Eagles were the favorites entering last year at plus 3 30 70 cents in front of the 49ers
17:25The Vikings had a 12 to 1 price with some promise of Kirk Cousins after a playoff appearance in a 13 win season in
17:332022 but now entering 2024 Donny the story is really the San Francisco 49ers price in my estimation
17:40Yes, the Lions and the Eagles are tied for that second best number
17:43But San Francisco was nearly half every other team in the conference
17:48The 49ers enter with a very short price of plus 300
17:52It does make some sense because when you're looking from last year into this year
17:56The Eagles were the favorites coming off the Super Bowl championship. Now. Well, there's gonna be a hangover. We didn't know about that
18:02There was no hangover technically as Eagles were 10 and 1 maybe the best team record wise at least in football last year
18:07Then we saw the 49ers actually being the better team
18:09Focus on this year now the question marks that come up because you're still seeing some of the same teams come up in that top
18:14Five but the 49ers you had a three-to-one price. I do think makes a lot of sense
18:18We're expecting really big things out of the Lions and the Eagles also to be competent and then the Packers which would in love in
18:24The Cowboys you get the picture primarily the same sort of teams that we were looking at in 2023
18:28But if we are saying well, what's the difference?
18:30Why were the Eagles last year a plus 330 price and this year now sitting at a plus 550 price?
18:35The reason being is the question marks are up here
18:38The 49ers don't have nearly the same amount of question marks right now than the Philadelphia Eagles do two new coordinators here
18:42Basically a brand new defense. How are they going to gel together?
18:45So it makes sense to me that from last year to this year
18:48You're flip-flopping with the Eagles and the 49ers and I agree with that I do
18:53Yeah, I would as well
18:54Do I think there should be a two and a half dollar gap for the 49ers in front of teams?
18:59Not necessarily
19:00but when you look at proven pedigree San Francisco having the
19:03Opportunity to cash even a relatively short number of three to one is going to be there
19:08The 49ers have made four of the last five NFC championship games
19:13The Lions were there a season ago the Eagles the year prior to that
19:16But it was Detroit's first appearance in the NFC title game last year in more than three decades in the Eagles had a large drop-off
19:24following
19:261922 DRS as we look at the NFC championship odds from this season the Packers last year
19:3220 to 1 kind of came out of nowhere new quarterback in Jordan love
19:36Rallying down the stretch to earn a playoff berth and then pulled off the upset at the star
19:41They won six of their last eight games and that upset over super wildcard weekend over Dallas now the Packers and the Cowboys
19:48Tied for the fourth best price at eight to one of those two numbers to round out the top five
19:54Which one do you believe is a better bet?
19:57It's such a tough one
19:58It really is and maybe you could probably say if it's just between the Packers and the Cowboys it would be the Cowboys
20:03He said well, that's crazy. I thought you weren't all that high
20:05It's just who you're up against on a week-to-week basis and how you can win
20:08Let's take a look at all five of teams all five of those teams been on the graphic
20:12What's the difference here? You see the 49ers sitting up top the rest of the four teams. Nobody's in the NFC West
20:17Which means there's an easier pathway to victory what the odds makers are looking for for the 49ers
20:22Which could lead to home good advantage throughout the playoffs. You take a look at the Lions and the Packers
20:27They're gonna do battle all season long just to win that division. Somebody's got to win it
20:30Somebody's gonna lose it which makes that pathway harder same thing with the Eagles and the Cowboys
20:34Somebody's gonna win it. Somebody's going to lose it
20:36But what we're factoring in here based on the odds is the 49ers aren't gonna get that push show worst-case scenario
20:41Maybe they don't get the number one overall seed
20:43Maybe they get number two
20:44But we do know they're gonna have a home playoff game which we can't guarantee
20:48For the other two football teams that are listed there with those wild-card weekend games
20:52Which they might have to be winding up in so I do find it interesting that way
20:55But for me, that's why I said the Cowboys and again, oh god, how could you do that?
20:59You're an Eagles fan forget about that
21:00That's irrelevant who your fandom is if we're looking at going into the season with question marks the Eagles have it and the Cowboys
21:06Have it no doubt
21:07I just think the Detroit Lions might be a stronger presence than the Packers which would hold them back a little bit
21:12But we'll know first month of the season first month and a half once we get to the quarter poll where we stand
21:17but that's just my opinion the 49ers deserve to be up top because I think their pathway to victory in the division is the
21:22Easiest as the remaining four teams that are going to be fighting with each other
21:26The five best numbers to win the NFC this year. It's the NFC West San Francisco
21:3249ers and in the four other teams two from the NFC North the Lions and the Packers and two from a same division as well
21:39The Eagles and the Cowboys out of the NFC East Donnie when we think about last year and how the playoffs came to be
21:46I find it a really fascinating conversation
21:49because what is a good bet with a conference championship number a ticket that will not be cashed until
21:56late January of
21:592025 what I find to really be the conversation is did it provide you value? Did it give you a cash out or
22:07Middling option as you get throughout the postseason
22:10It's why I would never bet the Cowboys price at an eight-to-one number to win the NFC
22:15Because they can't even reach the game that would allow them to even have the opportunity to cash the ticket. That's the NFC championship
22:22That's my stance. I am NOT changing but think about the teams that were almost there a year ago
22:27The Packers out of nowhere
22:2920 to 1 in the preseason the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who had the third best price to win the NFC South
22:35Won the division for a third consecutive year and played the Lions in that NFC
22:41Divisional round the best price out of the NFC South is the odds-on favorites in that division the Atlanta Falcons
22:48Their number is 11 to 1 to win the NFC title. Is it worth a wager?
22:53It could be worth a wager on that too because you're looking at and trying to progress
22:57Same thing I talked about the San Francisco 49ers here Ben who has the easiest path?
23:01Do you believe to win that division because that?
23:03Guarantees you're in the playoffs and with a home game at least one of those once you get there
23:08Yeah, and I do think in the NFC South
23:09I'm more willing to take a flyer on Atlanta because I'm expecting of a big season at Kirk Cousins
23:14But at the same time I'm not saying this year. Oh, man
23:16This ain't gonna be really tough for the Buccaneers. Didn't you see him last year? They won the division and a playoff game
23:20You're unbelievable this year. I don't believe that
23:22I actually do think the best team in the NFC South is the Atlanta Falcons and that's the wager
23:26I'd be willing to take out of those teams
23:29Yeah, the Falcons a minus 120 favorite to win the NFC South you can always paint a path and you can correlate numbers
23:36Especially right now in the preseason of all the future bets you can make win total divisional price
23:43Conference championship number if you believe in an organization from the NFC to the AFC net to the AFC
23:50We go now where there was a big three entering last year and it slightly changed entering
23:572024 Donnie, there was a thought that the Chiefs the bills. What is he doing?
24:02Chuck some things there
24:05You got what he got
24:09What I can't check something
24:12You just lunged across your camera, it's like do you know that we're live?
24:18All right, then the tweet out anyway people because a base what was going on from the last segment
24:23So it set the people straight here with graphics
24:25We're a digital show
24:28Okay, I love it
24:30All right
24:30Anyway, as we look at the odds from where we were entering last year to where we are entering this year
24:36That's 2023 last year 2024 this year
24:39There was that big three component the Chiefs the bills the Bengals the three teams that had been flirting with
24:45Conference championships the last three years really three four years in the AFC the Chiefs were the favorites
24:52The Chiefs have the same exact number now at plus 350 and frankly, how could you bet against Kansas City?
24:58There's not a miss AFC championship game number that is available
25:04It would just be not betting that short price of plus
25:08350 but in all six years that Patrick Mahomes has been the starting quarterback in Kansas City
25:13The Chiefs have made it to the AFC championship game in four of those six years
25:18They have won a conference championship in three of those four they have won a Lombardi trophy
25:24So KC still stands tall atop the AFC championship odds
25:28and this should be and I say this and you're not supposed to be this as an
25:32Independent handicapper and try to think about what's going to take place this season as opposed to what happened in the past
25:38But I still can't get around this
25:40That Chiefs run last year on probably their least talented team that they had was the most impressive
25:46So now I'm looking at the Chiefs this season as being more talented than last year and beat the Miami Dolphins at home
25:52Which again the Dolphins were banged up that game was like minus 35 degrees
25:55but then you go on the road the Buffalo on the road to the
25:58Baltimore or excuse me, Buffalo Baltimore and then beat San Francisco in the Super Bowl
26:02Like why not like why is that price?
26:04I probably would bite on Ben a minus 350 price for the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl. That's how much confidence
26:09I just have is always my home's playing today. Yeah, they're better
26:12The other team has better running backs better wide receivers better linemen and a better defense
26:16I don't care one team has Patrick Mahomes. That's the only thing that matters. So you see 2023 now 2024
26:22I completely agree until Patrick Mahomes and or Andy Reid is out of football. They will be the favorite every
26:30Single year why because they have the best player on the planet and the best coach for him
26:35And that's all that matters if my quarterback is so much better than yours. It doesn't matter who's on your defense whatsoever
26:42He's going to score and he's going to win
26:45So DRS even with Kansas City being the favorite incorrectly
26:49So even if you think Casey comes up a little bit short from whatever your standard is
26:54You are still trying to select that second team that would play the Chiefs in an AFC
27:00Title game in your mind. Who is that team most likely going to be in 2024?
27:05Sure, let's look because again
27:07there's quality teams understandably in the AFC with legitimate chances to win if we do remove the Chiefs from that equation say who's going to
27:15Battle them for supremacy in the AFC. You look at the odds coming into this year the Ravens plus 550
27:20They'll be there at the end. They're a double-digit win football team Lamar is
27:23Sensational in the regular season
27:25So maybe they wind up and rematch them in the AFC championship game if I'm going a little bit far down the list
27:29Maybe it is the Texans and I don't want to buy into the hype too quickly
27:33But even from what I'm seeing at a preseason camp and also the games itself
27:38CJ Stroud looks like he's so far ahead of the game already with a better football team around than he had last year
27:44Why not?
27:45It's not too soon maybe to buy in on the Texans because that talent looks like on a week-to-week basis
27:50They're gonna be hell on wheels
27:51Maybe there's the Texans at an 8 to 1 price challenging the Chiefs for supremacy in the AFC
27:56There is always a surprise though in Houston was that ASC South champ that won a playoff game a season ago and the Texans
28:04Entered 2023 with a rookie head coach in D'Amico Ryan's and a rookie quarterback in CJ Stroud
28:11With the longest price to win the AFC 16th out of 16 teams in the conference
28:1785 to 1 now an 8 to 1 number that is fifth best
28:20How about Aaron Rodgers in the New York Jets last year fifth best number at 10 to 1 and despite the
28:27non-successful season in
28:302023 that came crashing to a halt week number one
28:33The Jets price is actually shorter entering this year
28:36Although not making the top five only 50 cents back of Houston at plus 850
28:41I think you're a better team this year Ben, you know what I mean for the Jets?
28:44I think they go on it's a move solidify that wide receiver position running backs coming back healthy this year
28:48Aaron Rodgers, hopefully can stand up under center
28:51The only question mark for the Jets is how that offensive line is going to mesh the rest of the football team
28:55It's really good and they'll be fun to watch this year including game number one against the Niners
