00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. For some of us
00:05on Sunday it's going to be a pretty wet day with some outbreaks of heavy rain and thunderstorms
00:10developing. We can see this as we go through the course of the morning, working its way
00:14westwards across many parts of England and Wales. Behind it some sunshine will develop
00:19but that in turn will trigger some heavy and potentially thundery showers. All the time
00:24a little bit quieter for Scotland and Northern Ireland but here more in the way of cloud
00:28in the sky compared to recent days, especially so for eastern parts of Scotland. Quite a
00:33lot of low cloud and murk moving off the North Sea from time to time. Most of us seeing temperatures
00:40reaching around the high teens to the low twenties and in the south still quite humid
00:45and in the north maybe a little bit cooler than it has been of late. Into the evening
00:51continue the risk of some further heavy and thundery downpours across England and Wales
00:55but thankfully as the night goes on we lose the risk of the really heavy rain but still
01:00we'll leave behind quite a lot of cloud and some outbreaks of rain across many parts of
01:04England and also at times across southern parts of Scotland. Elsewhere a generally quiet
01:10night especially for the rest of Scotland and Northern Ireland here under the clear
01:14skies feeling a little bit chilly but I think for most of us in the towns and cities across
01:19the UK holding up into double figures. So we start Monday off on a fairly grey note
01:25across many parts of southern Scotland and England. Again the risk of some outbreaks
01:29of rain but generally fairly light and patchy. Elsewhere lots of sunshine around, a few showers
01:35just moving in across parts of Northern Ireland and western Scotland but thankfully a much
01:39drier day for parts of Wales and south-west England compared to the weekend. But with
01:44a fairly keen north-westerly wind developing it will be feeling a lot fresher right across
01:48the country on Monday. Temperatures at best reaching around 19 or 20 degrees across the
01:54south and if anything as we go through into Tuesday and Wednesday and beyond we will start
01:59to see even cooler air begin to move in from the Arctic. So our first autumn chill of the
02:05season coming our way into the middle part of the week will bring in temperatures around
02:10the mid teens by day and by night. I think some of us will be falling into low to mid
02:16single figures but you can find out more about the weather coming up around where you
02:20live on our website or our app. But from me for now take care and I'll see you again soon.
