00:00Hello, everyone. This is Paul Branson Reviews, and I went to see the Joker 2 movie. Unfortunately,
00:07I can't pronounce the name of the movie, my pronunciation of it. I just don't know how
00:13to say it. I tried and tried, and I just couldn't say it, so I'm just calling it Joker 2. Now,
00:18when Joker 1 came out, I was hesitant to see it. He is not one of my favorite actors. He's
00:27a hit and miss with me. I did not like Gladiators. It came out in 2000, and that was a big hit
00:34and won an Academy Award. He played the king, and I just thought he was too whiny, but that
00:40was supposed to be his character, so if it was supposed to be his character, it was supposed
00:46to be his character, but it annoyed me. As I was watching that movie, the Gladiators,
00:54I got annoyed by him, and just in general, I don't really, I don't know. There's something
01:01about him that I'm just not keen on his acting until I saw the Joker, the first one. It amazed
01:07me. I was like, oh, wow. He's incredible in this. He's genius. He should win an Academy
01:15Award for Best Picture. I'm not sure if he did. I actually should check that up, but
01:19he should have. If he didn't, he should have. He should have got the Academy Award that
01:23year for playing the Joker. He was fantastic. The script was fantastic. The scenery was
01:28fantastic. It went by so quickly. I own the movie. I love the first one, so I was dying
01:36to see the second one, so I go to see the second one. I'm sitting there. The cinematography
01:41is good. Some of the dialogue is good, but it's like, oh, he's still struggling. Why
01:48is he still struggling? I didn't want him struggling back to his regular self, becoming
01:56the Joker, so they put him in a medical ward, a medical ward, and that's where he meets
02:04Lady Gaga or Harley Quinn, that I wanted it to be. What I originally wanted for the script,
02:11as my friend and me were talking, is the second one should him taking over the city, and the
02:16third one, Batman should get involved and take him down. That would have been a great
02:21three-parter. That would have been a great three-parter, flat-out Joker, but it just
02:27showed him more. Yes, it gave more emotion to the character, but the movie, to me, was
02:33just flat. The dialogue was flat. He was good, but it just, the musical numbers shouldn't
02:43have been there. The dance moves were okay, but it got so bad that I wanted to walk out
02:50of the theater. I was like, why am I here? This is not, like, why would they make this?
02:56Are they going to stretch it out to a third one? Why would they have Harley Quinn? Why
03:01would they have some form of a love interest? I don't know. This could have been a much
03:06better script. Lady Gaga was okay in it. The musical numbers, I don't think any of them
03:13were original. I thought they would at least have some original songs. Nothing. I'm like,
03:19then the ending. The ending was just, come on. Come on. So, overall, I don't know what
03:29to say.
03:30Some other reviews, they say very similar to things that I was feeling. I was going
03:40to do a reaction when I walked out of the theater, and when I walked out of the theater,
03:43I was asking other people, and the other people were like, we didn't like it either. We actually
03:49had a friend that walked out. So, I think it only has, like, maybe a 5.8 now out of
03:58a 10, I think. I don't know. I haven't really looked at the numbers. I kind of briefly looked
04:03at them. Rotten Tomatoes' score is kind of low, I think, as well. I could be wrong on
04:08that. But, overall, I wouldn't give this movie, I give this movie, oh man, I'm being generous
04:14because in a lot of ways, because there were some things I actually did like about it.
04:20I'm giving it, you know what, I'm giving it a 5 out of 10. I'd probably never watch this
04:25movie again. But I say that, but I might watch it again because there are some movies
04:31I didn't like before at all, and when I re-watched them later, I actually liked them more. Him
04:38in the original Joker, and I really wanted to see this one, not him in a loony bin struggling.
04:44I just felt that that was not needed for the second movie. He needed to be flat out Joker,
04:51and then maybe Batman came in the picture in the third one. So, I give this a 5 out
04:56of 10, maybe even a 4 out of 10. I'm being generous saying a 5 out of 10 because there
05:00were some scenes that were somewhat interesting. Alright everyone, bye for now. Have an incredible

05:12other people think of this. Because when I walked out and I talked to the people that
05:16actually stayed, two other people wanted to walk out, but they stayed because, well,
