00:00Hello everyone. I don't know how I missed this movie. It's a 2022 movie. It's a horror comedy
00:09movie and I'm like how the heck did I miss this? When I saw it I said I have to watch this. But
00:15the name too kind of threw me off. Deer Camp 86. Okay Deer Camp 86 can mean many things. But as I
00:25looked at the poster the poster did look interesting. So maybe I bypassed it over time
00:30or what whatnot. But it did win some awards. And I was like I have to see this horror comedy movie.
00:37And it didn't even clue into me what 86 meant. It meant 1986. So this movie is filled with nostalgia.
00:47Filled with nostalgia. The soundtrack alone I want to buy. Like I don't know if you remember
00:54back in the 80s and 90s. The movies back then had amazing soundtracks. And after you see the
01:02movie you would want to own it. Or you would rush home to see if they would play a certain song in
01:07that movie that you wanted to own. Put in a tape and wait for the radio to play it or request it
01:13and record it. That's how we did it in the 80s. But this movie is incredible. Now this is a new
01:22time director. Because when I looked the director up it said this was his known movie. But there
01:28is no other movies that look like he did. Unless I just didn't look it up right. I could be a dumb
01:33dumb. And two writers wrote this. Now at the beginning I was thinking the director wrote it
01:39and directed it. But that's not the case. But I'm sure they all worked together. Because they made
01:46a fantastic movie that's only about 85 minutes long. And even the tail end credits you want to
01:55watch just because you want to hear the music. That brings you travels back in time. Now what
02:02the movie is about. At the beginning something happens. And it looks amazing. And this is on
02:08a very low budget. Could not find the how much it cost. But you can do movies for a million dollars
02:17two million dollars even probably half a million dollars. Like there are some movies became very
02:22popular and they didn't even cost a million to make. Blair Witch I believe was one of them. This
02:30being said though when I watched this movie and there were six friends going deer hunting it
02:38seemed like they were real friends. Like real friends. I was like okay. Like real friends. Real
02:48dialogue. They played it well. Unless they were real friends and they decided to do this movie
02:54together. But it played well. Like if you have a movie and you're watching a movie and you're
03:00kind of like well there's two people. It doesn't seem like they're really true friends. This movie
03:07it seems like they're true friends. They acted well. And as they're driving in this truck something
03:15happens. They have to go and get gas. Not going to tell you what. But as they get gas they see a bar
03:21across the street. So they figure okay they'll go to the bar before they get to the cabin. Some don't.
03:29Some do. And there is some laughter there. There are jokes in here that almost made me go to the
03:37washroom in my pants and fall off my couch. It was a funny movie. It really brought me back to the
03:4680s. It sure did. Because some of these jokes are 80 jokes for sure that people just don't say anymore.
03:53They go into the bar and of course they meet some other people. They get in a bar fight. Typical but
04:02entertaining. Someone breaks it up. Not going to say who. Now the actors I don't really recognize.
04:10I'm sure they're gonna do a lot more because they're fantastic actors. All the actors in here
04:16were incredible. Some I believe did a little bit more movies than others. But I don't think I've ever seen
04:21them in anything myself. But I definitely like the six friends together. And even the friends. Other
04:27friends in the bar. Everything about this movie is incredible. Even the cinematography. The editing. I
04:35didn't even have problems with the lighting. The lighting was perfect. Not too dark. Not too light.
04:43Now it also reminded me of Jeepers Creepers because there's something in the woods tearing
04:50people to pieces. Now this is real special effects. If there was CGI in it, not much. Not much that I
04:58noticed anyway. And if it was all CGI, I sure the heck, I can't see that. They did an amazing job
05:08with CGI if that's the case. Even the costume designs. The travel back to 1986 was amazing.
05:16Now the sheriff has been in other things and you probably will recognize him. I did recognize him
05:25but I'm not gonna say who he is because I want you to be surprised. And there are a few other
05:29actors you might be surprised on too. I want to leave the actors out so you would be surprised
05:36when you watch this movie. Now there's a killing. The sheriff now gets involved. He has to question
05:44people to see what's going on. People are being torn up in the woods. Now after the bar fight,
05:50they went to their cabin. More jokes. More getting to know the characters. And now the tearing of
05:59pieces. That's why it reminds me of Pumpkinhead and Jeepers Creepers and other movies in the
06:06woods. Now if you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. It did win some awards. 86% in
06:14Rotten Tomatoes. And it surprises me it only has a 5.5 on IMBD. So I know not enough people have
06:23watched this. Now those numbers can always go up and down as you know. But me, I give this movie an
06:308 out of 10 by far. Maybe even higher. I definitely will watch it again. But I laughed so hard and I
06:38also had some jumps there because some things were a little freaky. And there's a nice little surprise
06:44at the ending. And I'm not gonna say, I'm gonna say surprise or a twisted ending or a weird ending
06:51or a different ending. I'd love to see a sequel to this. And I would love the director to direct it
06:56and the same writers to write it. Especially if this was their first work. They have to do more
07:0280 films. The blood in this looked really real too. You have to check it out. Deer Camp 86 everyone.
07:09If you haven't seen it, check it out. It's incredible. I know I really enjoyed it. Bye for
07:16now. Have an incredible day everyone. And thank you again for watching and check out my festivals.

07:32But bye for now and thank you again for watching.
