00:00Hello, movies in a nutshell here. Today we will explain the drama, mystery and sci-fi film Project Almanac, pay attention to spoilers.
00:08David Ruskin, a great high school graduate, is filming a video application for a scholarship at MIT. His sister Kristina is behind the camera and films everything.
00:16His best friends Quinn Goldberg and Adam Lee also appear in the video to support him.
00:23David presents an impressive technology on a motion sensor, which uses his phone connected to a computer to track his movements.
00:32However, someone is called on the phone during the presentation and the machine breaks down.
00:36Anyway, David is sure of his application.
00:39Sometime later, David receives a letter from MIT. He tells everyone that he was accepted at the university, and his friends and family congratulate him.
00:46Their celebration is interrupted after David finds out that he will only receive a partial scholarship.
00:51Something they can't afford. Too much money is needed for his enrollment, and this kills their celebration.
00:57At school, David's teacher advises him to apply for other scholarships.

01:05After school, David finds out that his mother is selling a house to enroll him at MIT.

02:51After gathering the things and working on the hardware, David and his friends return to the basement
02:56to build a time machine using Ben's scheme.
02:59After working with a glass ball that serves as the heart of the machine, they turn it on,
03:03and everyone is shocked when they look at Kristina's hair.
03:07They follow the machine's electromagnetic energy.
03:10Its power is enough to break through the basement, the headlights shine in their hands,
03:14and they mix the metal tools together.
03:16The machine explodes unexpectedly, but David is fascinated by what happened,
03:20and tells Kristina to film everything.
03:23Later, David helps Adam realize that they can equip the machine with an innovative,
03:28but outdated TV output.
03:30He does this, and they have access to the machine's program through the monitor.
03:34When they realize that they need a graphics processor, they tear up Quinn's Xbox.

04:03After a while, the guys finally finish the test building and turn on the machine.
04:07They are amazed to see how strong the electromagnetic field is,
04:10and how many unnatural objects are around them.
04:13Very quickly, the machine explodes and spills liquid under David's T-shirt.
04:17They realize that it's the same dirty T-shirt David wore in the video.
04:21They take that as a good sign that they are close to their goal.
04:25The last thing they need is a certain amount of hydrogen.
04:29The group sneaks into the school at night and steals hydrogen bottles from the warehouse.
04:33They return to the time machine with the stolen hydrogen,
04:36but Quinn suggests taking a break to join the fun ahead.
04:40They ignore him and continue to set their first experiment with a toy car.
04:45When their attempt fails, they realize that they need more energy.
04:49With that, David goes outside and leads Jessie to park the car on their property.
04:54Very quickly after she leaves, they quickly connect the wires to the car's battery and continue with the experiment.
05:00Just after the machine turns on, Jessie unexpectedly comes in and is shocked to see what's going on.

09:45When he returns to the present time, David finds Adam unconscious in the hospital after he was hit by a car.
09:51Nervous, David returns to the basement where he tries to find a way to prevent Adam's misfortune.
09:57He realizes that all he has to do is to return on Tuesday at 7 o'clock at night
10:02when he left his house to travel through time alone.
10:05Jesse unexpectedly arrives and catches him while he tries to return through time alone.
10:10David unwittingly leads Jesse with him.
10:13Jesse looks at him because he is traveling alone and asks him which time has changed everything.
10:18He eventually admits that he returned to Lulapalooza to finish together.

11:32He heads to the basement where he finds Ben putting a military box in a secret compartment.
11:37Ben recognizes David and they have a short but warm conversation.
11:41David tells his father that he will be okay and Ben tells David that he is proud of him.
11:46They say their goodbyes to God and hug.
11:49After his father leaves, David takes the military box and sets it on fire.
11:53The timeline is erased and David forgets everything.
11:56On the new timeline, the twins find two video cameras in the basement.
12:00One that their father owned and one that David left for himself in the past.
12:05After editing the video, David comes to Jesse on the day when they accidentally replaced the bags.
12:10He then safely informs her that he will change the world.
