00:00Hello, movies in a nutshell here. Today for you we are working on a resume of a zombie horror film from 2013, called World War Z. Pay attention to spoilers.

00:16We see a suburban house. Two children enter the parents' room and jump on their bed.
00:21After that, Gary gives pancakes to the daughters and his wife Karen tells Rachel to bring her an inhaler.
00:27He watches the news, where one government declared a state of emergency.
00:31Connie asks what it is and whether he was in such places while he was working.
00:35Gary says he is, but also that he gave up because he would be with his family.
00:39Rachel brings Connie and her toy, and they go to school. On the way, they play a game in the car because they got stuck in a traffic jam.
00:47Karen thinks about the number of helicopters flying in the air.
00:50Gary turns on the radio. The news is about the bombing of a bomb that appeared in Taiwan and it spread to other countries.
00:57Surprised, the motorcyclist breaks the rearview mirror, and Gary goes out to pick it up and see what happened.
01:03Suddenly, an explosion is heard. The police officer on the motorhome orders them to get into the car, when suddenly a truck shoots at him and continues to clear the street.
01:11Gary starts driving behind that truck, thinking it's their only way out.
01:15The truck gets stuck in the second and overturns, but Gary moves and manages to avoid the collision.
01:20He drives through the city, full of soldiers and on the verge of a crisis.
01:24Gary turns around to tell Rachel to tie up when ambulances hit their car. Fortunately, none of them were injured.
01:31Gary first pulls Connie out of the car, and then Rachel from the same side.
01:35You can see zombies chasing people and attacking them tirelessly and without thinking.
01:40The woman, who is now a zombie, breaks through the car window to get inside.
01:44Karen sees how she eats a man and falls over. Gary tells her to run.
01:48As they run, he looks at the situation with his wife.
01:52One man turns into a zombie from that tremor.
01:55Gary drives his family to the camper, while other zombies chase and attack people on the street.
01:59One zombie manages to get into their car.
02:02Gary drives through the street while zombies attack cars.
02:05They manage to get to the road outside the city.
02:07Rachel gets an asthmatic attack and Karen tries to calm her down.
02:10She checks her bag to find a spare inhaler, and Gary stops the car to sit with Rachel and tries to calm her down by talking to her through the attack.
02:18Karen can't find the inhaler and wants to turn the camper to find the pharmacy, but the camper won't turn on.
02:24Gary's phone rings. The call comes from his ex-colleague Terry.
02:27He tells him that he barely got out and that he doesn't know what happened.
02:31In the meantime, Connie finds a bag and Gary takes it from her.
02:35Karen manages to turn on the camper.
02:37Terry tells Gary that he will try to find a helicopter for them if he manages to do it in an hour.
02:42Before he hangs up, he tells Gary that they need him back at work.
02:46They come to Newark and enter a store that was already occupied.
02:50They split up, Karen goes to find food, and Gary takes Rachel to find an inhaler.
02:55In the pharmacy, they find a man with a gun and he asks them what they need.
02:59He finds them an inhaler and gives it to Gary, as well as something else that could help them.
03:03In the meantime, Connie screams for them, running around alone in the streets.
03:07They come to her and see that they are attacking Karen.
03:10Gary follows her, but the men start shooting.
03:12He gives them the inhaler, but he can't hit anyone.
03:15A cop flies in and Gary raises his hands in the air, but he only comes in to pick up the things he needs.
03:20The family comes out of the store and sees that the camper is gone.
03:23Gary calls Terry to ask him where to be, but he tells him that the earliest helicopter can only come at sunrise.
03:30The family should be at the top of the building with the torches.
03:32They come to the building and the zombies start chasing them.
03:35Gary manages to keep them outside and then he joins his family to close the door.
03:40As they run up the stairs, the zombies break through the doors and start following them.
03:44In chaos, they lose Connie and go to look for her through the apartments.
03:48They find her in front of the open doors with the other family outside.
03:51Gary throws his family inside.
03:53They calm down and start talking to the parents through Thomas, their son.
03:58Gary finds breaking news on the radio.
04:00The message says that everyone should stay in a closed space because an unidentified virus has spread to the United States.
04:07Gary wakes up from a bad dream and hears something outside.
04:10He finds Rachel and Thomas in another room and the child tells him that she was crying.
04:14After that, Gary talks to the father of the family and tells him that they have a better chance of salvation if they follow him.
04:19He refutes that.
04:20Gary and his family leave the apartment.
04:23They hear zombies in the building and run to the roof until Thomas' family agrees that they should go because the zombies are on their doors.
04:29Gary's family hides so that they all meet.
04:32When they open the door, the zombies immediately attack.
04:35They run up the stairs and Gary manages to fight some zombies while the others follow in their footsteps.
04:41In the meantime, a helicopter comes from the building but does not see them.
04:44Gary hits another zombie while Karen and the girl run to the roof.
04:48Surprised, Thomas kills the zombies.
04:50Karen lights a torch.
04:52The helicopter sees them.
04:53Gary comes to the roof with Thomas, but moves away from them to see if they want to turn around.
04:58He looks after them for a moment, but hears zombies on the doors and runs to save them.
05:03When the helicopter lands, Karen and the children jump on it.
05:06The soldier guards Gary's back so that he can climb on the helicopter.
05:09They continue to shoot at the zombies that jump on the helicopter, but at the same time fall from the building.
05:14The helicopter lands on a ship on the Atlantic Ocean that belongs to the UN.
05:18Terry greets them as they come and takes them to their bunkers.
05:21Terry says that Sidra is no longer going down.
05:24As he leads Gary to the headquarters, he informs him that all the big cities on the planet are infected with the virus.
05:29Inside the headquarters, a group is seen thinking about the virus.
05:33Dr. Fassbach thinks that as soon as they find the origin of the virus, they can make a vaccine.
05:37Terry claims that Fassbach is their best man to find out about the virus and tells Gary that the word zombie was first used in South Korea.
05:44They plan to send a doctor there to find the source.
05:47Surprised, the general enters the command room and goes directly to Gary.
05:51He tells him that since he was Terry's best investigator, he wants Gary to be sent to South Korea with Tim and Fassbach.
05:58Gary refuses, because he says he does not want to leave his family.
06:01The general cannot convince him, so he forbids him.
06:04If he does not work for them, he will expel his family from the ship.
06:07Gary talks to Karen and tells her what the situation is.
06:10They give him a cell phone and tell him to call him one day.
06:13Gary promises to come back and then says goodbye to his daughters and Thomas.
06:17Gary's plane takes off.
06:18He tells Fassbach that he must follow the order of the soldier.
06:21Gary also tells him that as soon as he sees anything important, he should inform them immediately.
06:25Fassbach claims that he will find something there and says that sometimes what seems to be the most brutal aspect of the virus turns out to be not so.

06:35The plane lands in South Korea, although no one has appeared from the base to confirm whether they can land.
06:40The doors open and Tim goes outside and suddenly hears some sounds.
06:43They slowly come out when the zombies start attacking.
06:46Fassbach gets scared and runs back to the plane.
06:48He slips and falls on a gun, shooting himself.
06:52The soldiers manage to fight the zombies and go to the base without Fassbach.
06:56When they enter the base, they meet the soldiers from the other base and ask them what they are doing here.
07:01Gary tells them about Fassbach, and then the pilot asks about the fuel supply.
07:05Captain Speke explains how he will have to be careful because the zombies turn when they hear a noise.
07:10He says that shooting in the head is the best solution, but also to burn the body if they can.
07:15He asks Gary what he will do since Fassbach is dead.
07:18Gary explains to him the meaning of the word zombie.
07:21They take him to the detention room with burnt bodies and explain that all this is the soldiers who tried to detain their doctor.
07:28He unfortunately took them all.
07:30The only thing they know about how he got the virus is that the soldier who died a week before that took the doctor.

07:39Unfortunately, the documents that Gary followed about the soldier who took the doctor were destroyed in the fire.
07:44Speke tells him that one of his people was not attacked by the zombies, although he was directly in front of them.
07:50Gary sees an old CIA agent waiting and talks to him.
07:54He sold guns in North Korea, but he tells Gary that the guns were only half of his punishment.
07:59The old agent pulls out his last tooth and tells him that they pulled out all the teeth in the entire population 24 hours to stop the spread.
08:06Gary does not believe that.
08:08Then the man says that Israel is the only country to win the war by building a wall around Jerusalem.
08:14And he tells Gary to find someone there.
08:16After that, Gary tells the pilot that they are going after Jerusalem.
08:19The soldiers prepare Gary and his team for boarding the plane.
08:22Speke has a whole tactic about how to solve the fuel of the plane.
08:26Gary and his team ride bicycles to the plane and the soldiers surround the base with snipers to guard their backs.
08:32Speke tells them over the radio that they have to be quiet and get to the plane before he brings fuel to the plane.
08:37As they ride, Kerin calls Gary and his bell wakes up the zombies.
08:41The men continue on their way if zombies follow them.
08:44When suddenly Speke kills a group of zombies with a truck full of fuel.
08:48The fuel filling begins as Gary and his team fight zombies in front of the plane.
08:53Zombies attack Gary and Speke saves him, but he is in one.
08:56As Gary turns, Speke tells his people how he will kill himself before he turns into a zombie.
09:02Gary sees it with the plane.
09:04One of the teams goes and separates the fuel tank while Gary goes into the cockpit, locking the door so that zombies could not enter.
09:10When they take off, they fall out of the guard parts of the plane.
09:13Gary calls Kerin and tells her that they are going to Israel.
09:16She tells him that the children are fine.
09:18Suddenly, there is an explosion and the call is interrupted.
09:21The plane approaches Jerusalem and asks for Mossad agent who Gary goes to see to get access.
09:27Gary tells the pilot to stay in the plane.
09:29Gary is taken with him to the agent.
09:31Jurgen Warnbrum tells him that it is human nature not to believe that something can happen until it has already happened.
09:37Gary asks how Israel knew about it.
09:39Jurgen tells him that they missed the communication from the Indian general who mentions the fight with the zombies.
09:45Gary does not believe that this convinced the veteran agent.
09:48He explains to Gary how in the 1970s they had a strategy that 10 people had to disagree with the other 9 who came to the same conclusion.
09:5710 people have to start with the assumption that the other 9 made a mistake.
10:01Since everyone else assumed that the zombies were paranoid about something else, 10 people had to work on the assumption that it was true.
10:08Jurgen tells him that there are a lot of potential origins in the game, but no one knows where the virus came from.
10:14They finally reach the wall through which they let people enter the city.
10:18Zombies gather around the wall.
10:20People inside begin to celebrate their potential salvation.
10:23The gathering becomes louder and louder.
10:25This attracts zombies to the wall and they begin to climb.
10:28Gary asks Jurgen if he can go to India to look for what he needs, but the agent tells him that he can only look for a place to hide.
10:35A horde of zombies begins to climb the wall while the celebration continues, but the government refuses to let anything happen.
10:41Zombies begin to fall from the wall in Jerusalem.
10:44Gary tries to escape with Jurgen while the zombies furiously walk through the wall.
10:48The helicopters can hardly catch them.
10:50Jurgen tells Gary that his people will put him in his plane.
10:53Zombies pass deeper through the city and the Israeli army can't do much about it.
10:57Gary runs into the crowd of people who are always in the way of the zombies.
11:01One of the soldiers activates a grenade.
11:03In the meantime, the pilot of Gary's plane receives information that the city has been broken through and that zombies are going to the airport.
11:08A horde of zombies follows Gary and the police.
11:11He looks through the window, and the horde of zombies that attack him sees children who are completely avoiding him.
11:16The police try to solve the zombies while Gary is hiding.
11:19They activate another grenade and kill the last zombies.
11:22One of the agents is injured in the process.
11:25When Gary sees the threat of a crisis, he takes his hand off her and then the virus cannot spread.
11:29Segen loses his hand, but does not turn into a zombie.
11:32The latter survives and runs to the helicopter that followed them, but he is also attacked by a horde of zombies and he falls.
11:38Gary's pilot seeks a quick escape while Gary approaches the airport.
11:42He sees his plane already in the air.
11:44They stop another departing plane.
11:46Only Gary and Segen enter the plane through the cockpit.
11:49The pilots do not know where to go and look at the map when suddenly a horde of zombies surrounds the plane.

11:55While in the air, Gary looks down and sees how the city is being destroyed by the zombies that have entered.
12:01He finds alcohol and gives it to Segen.
12:03Gary has to change the wound on her wound and disinfect his hands.
12:07In the end, he wraps his hand around her and tells her that he did not know if the cut hands would help.
12:12Surprised, Gary remembers the story about the policewoman Alice and remembers that the other people were not attacked by zombies.

12:43He opens the door and the zombies attack him.
12:45Gary realizes that something is happening, while the stewardess attacks people and turns them into zombies.
12:49He sees what is happening and tells the passengers to be quiet.
12:52They work together to block the door with anything they find.
12:56One of the passengers drops the bag and warns the zombies.
12:59They rush through the plane and wander through it.
13:02Gary fights the zombies and is about to be alone, but Segen shoots the zombie that was moving towards him.
13:07She continues to shoot and Gary finds a grenade on her bag that he throws at the bottom of the plane.
13:12The grenade tears the plane apart and the pilots have to make an emergency landing.
13:16Gary puts his belt on Segen and then on himself.
13:19The remaining zombies attack them while the pilots prepare for the crash.
13:22The plane breaks into pieces after the crash.
13:25Then, Gary wakes up tied to the seat and sees that Segen is not in his seat.
13:30Unfortunately, he is quite injured by the parts of the bomb.
13:33Gary falls out of his seat.
13:35Suddenly, Segen appears.
13:37They find a way to the station.
13:39In the meantime, the military general on board is informed that the Cardiff airport has lost contact with Gary's plane.
13:44They call Karen to talk to Terry.
13:46He talks to his commander, who tells him to evacuate Karen and the children from the ship.
13:50Back at the station, Gary has a nightmare.
13:53He wakes up and sees his wound wrapped in a bandage and realizes that someone is sitting next to him.
13:57As soon as Gary wakes up, the man consults with some other people in another room.
14:02They return and ask him who it is.
14:04They show him the phone and tell him to call someone to find out who he really is.
14:08Terry is surprised that Gary is alive and then introduces himself to these people.
14:12Before he can answer, Gary asks about Karen and Terry tells him what happened.
14:16After that, Gary is released and brought to Segen to see him.
14:20They say that his family was sent to the refugee camp, but Gary knows that they will not be safe there.
14:26The chief doctor asks him what he needs and takes him to his team.
14:30Gary is looking for their most deadly virus with a high rate of mortality because they want to use it against zombies.
14:36They tell him that he cannot make zombies sick, but Gary explains that this is not for them, but for people.
14:42He thinks that the weakness of zombies is that they cannot infect the sick host.
14:46Gary's idea is that people had some deadly disease that zombies could feel, so that's why they didn't attack.
14:52The use of a deadly pathogen would not be a cure, but it would be well camouflaged.
14:57One of the doctors understands his explanation, so she explains that the only way to prove it is to find zombies face to face.
15:05She says that they all have viruses, but that they are buried in the B-wing, which is infected with about 80 zombies.
15:11Another doctor says that the zombies in the B-wing are calm at the moment.
15:15He explains to him how to get there.
15:17Gary, Segen and the chief doctor are preparing to leave the B-wing to find the virus.
15:22Gary and Segen also get weapons while the doctor tells him not to kill any zombies because it causes anger to other zombies.
15:29The three of them go through the hallway.
15:31The chief doctor tells his subordinates to seal the door if anything other than them comes through the hallway.
15:37The doctors follow them from the security part of the B-wing.
15:40Gary comes in first and the light turns on as they slowly walk through the building.
15:44He makes a little noise and wakes up a few zombies on the move.
15:47When they come to the lab with the glass doors, Segen moves aside first, then the doctor, and finally Gary, without any noise.
15:55They continue to the main part where the viruses are located, but make a noise with the doors and wake up the zombies.
16:01They somehow get through them and get to the main part.
16:04But there are zombies in the main part that hear them.
16:07Segen shoots zombies, forcing other zombies to run towards them.
16:10Gary draws the attention of the zombies to let the others enter the main part.
16:14He locks them up enough for the door.
16:16Only one zombie continues to follow Gary, but he solves it without any problems.
16:20Suddenly, another one appears, and Gary and he manage to control it.
16:24Segen and the doctor come to the main part, but there are more zombies.
16:28They run, but are followed by zombies.
16:30The other doctors open the door for them, although they are chased by a group of zombies.
16:34They barely manage to hold the door, but eventually lock them up.
16:38As they run, Gary manages to get to the main part where the viruses are buried.
16:42He goes inside and tries to open the door when his cell phone rings.
16:46The doctor tells him the code, and Gary goes inside.
16:49He takes every virus that can fit in the box.
16:52Suddenly, a zombie appears at the door, and Gary has no choice but to fight one of the injections that contain viruses.
16:59He leaves a message for his family, prepares one of the viruses, and fights him.
17:05Gary waits for the virus to do its job, while the zombie waits in front of the door.
17:09After a while, he decides to open the door.
17:12The zombie enters, but does not attack him.
17:14His idea was successful.
17:16On his way back, Gary drinks a bottle of juice, and lets go of the mechanism on the device for carbonated drinks,
17:21to divert the zombies' attention and push them to go the other way.
17:25He returns to the main part, without the zombies causing him any problems.
17:29The doctor gives him the vaccine, and leaves the part with Segen.
17:33Gary goes to find his family in the refugee camp.
17:36All members of the family are waiting for him there.
17:38In the meantime, his idea spreads all over the world.
17:42The medical organization WHO makes a vaccine that acts as a camouflage,
17:46helping people become invisible to zombies.
17:49It gives the human race a chance to fight zombies.
17:52People have also devised strategies to destroy hordes of zombies with fire or bombs.
17:57They survive, find each other, and prepare for war, because this is just the beginning.
