02:42Mr. Gonzalez Urrutia took refuge in the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands one day
02:47after the elections.
02:49That is to say, his plan was never an electoral issue.
02:52Similarly, regarding the statements made by the Dutch foreign minister, the Venezuelan
02:56foreign minister pointed out that the former far-right candidate Edmundo Gonzalez outtold
03:00the government of the Netherlands of his intention to leave the country.
03:07Not only did he enter the embassy and ask for guest status, but he asked to leave the
03:13country and told the government of the Netherlands, who confirmed it in this communication, of

03:24Moving on to other news, Colombia creates the first education system of Latin America
03:29that preserves the identity of indigenous peoples.
03:33This system preserves ancestral knowledge, strengthens cultural identity, and promotes
03:37respect for the traditions of the native communities.

03:457th the creation of the first indigenous education system in the region.
03:50The Minister of Education, Daniel Rojas MedellĂn, signed the act in which he committed the ministers
03:56of the national government involved in the effort to launch the program to sign the decree
04:00law.
04:01The minister emphasizes that three decades after the proclamation of the 1991 constitution,
04:07it is the government of Gustavo Petro that signs the act formalizing the first indigenous
04:12education system of Latin America.
04:19And in Uruguay, in view of the general elections in October, Frente Amplio political party
04:25highlighted the fight against child poverty as its priority.
04:28In her first public speech as a politician, senatorial candidate Blanca RodrĂguez remarked
04:34that children should become the focus of efforts in Uruguay, since they have a higher level
04:39of poverty than society in general.
04:42In that sense, data from the National Institute of Statistics indicate that 20% of children
04:48under 6 years of age live in poverty.
04:51RodrĂguez emphasized that public safety would be another priority for the leftist alliance
04:56in view of the national elections scheduled for next October 27th.

05:27Welcome back.
05:40The United Commissions of Constitutional Affairs and Legislative Studies of the Mexican Senate
05:45approved this September 8th the resolution of the reform to the judicial power.
05:49After six hours of debate, the resolution received 25 votes in favor and 12 against.
05:55The reform was promoted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and seeks to have judges,
06:00magistrates and ministers elected by popular vote.
06:04The project has generated strong resistance because it would completely modify the judicial
06:08power.
06:09It establishes that ministers of the Supreme Court, members of the Council of the Federal
06:13Judiciary, magistrates of the Federal Electoral Tribunal and district judges would be appointed
06:19in open elections.
06:21The following step is to the resolution to be discussed in the full Senate.
06:29And the National Electoral Council of Honduras called on political parties and citizens to
06:33participate in the upcoming primary elections to be held on March 9th, 2025.
06:38The president of the National Electoral Council, Ana Paula Hull-Garcias, together with the
06:43other members of the Council, expressed that this call formally marks the beginning of
06:47the electoral process.
06:49She also stated that the primaries would allow the election of three presidential nominees,
06:5320 deputies to the Central American Parliament, 128 congressmen and 298 mayors.
07:00Previously, the National Congress unanimously approved a special budget of nearly $60 million
07:05to guarantee the 2025 primary and general elections.
07:12Likewise, the representative of the Electoral Body of Honduras, Ana Paula Hull, highlighted
07:18the responsibility of the plenarization in view of the complex political scenario in
07:22which the electoral process takes place.
07:33Honduras is going through difficult times and everything indicates that the context
07:38of the elections will be complex.
07:41In a polarized country where political adversaries make accusations against each other that,
07:47with or without reason, generate an undesirable atmosphere of doubts and tension.
07:55Making elections in this context is a challenge to be determined with determination, courage
08:01and the spirit of country.
08:04As a member of the plenary that will be sworn in the next few days, I am aware of our enormous
08:11responsibility, of the balances and the equilibrium that the three of us must necessarily build
08:18for the sake of the trustworthiness of the process.

11:57and al-Nusraj refugee camps in central Gaza, killing seven Palestinians and injuring several
12:02more.

13:11benefit of the Palestinian people.
13:13The embassy of Iran in the United Kingdom denounced the lack of impartiality of the
13:17BBC coverage of the genocide in Gaza.
13:20In this context, while other British broadcasters transmit the announcement on the humanitarian
13:24crisis, the BBC indicated that the situation in Gaza does not cover all the criteria to
13:29be classified as a national crisis, which is why the media delayed the appeal from the
13:35Emergency Disaster Committee and aid agencies.
13:48Meanwhile, in Jordan, hundreds of people demonstrated in solidarity with the Palestinian people
13:52and to condemn the crimes of the Israeli regime in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

15:04the adoption of its children by foreigners.
15:06Despite the new measure, an exception will be made for foreigners who want to adopt a
15:10blood relative, such as stepchild in China.
15:13Over the past three years, tens of thousands of Chinese children have been adopted by foreign
15:17families, with the United States leading the way.
15:20Although there are no official statistics, some reports indicate that more than 82,000
15:24children have gone to U.S. families in the last three decades.
