00:39comes his way standing just under 7 inches tall this Vinnie action figure is
00:43a must-have for any true fan of the classic animated series just before we
00:47kick this review into overdrive let's take the old tape measure and see how
00:50tall the brand-new nacelle biker mice from Mars Vinnie actually stands in the
00:54cartoon though he was voiced by actor Ian Ziering many though that grew up in
00:58the 90s would recognize Ian Ziering as also Steve Sanders from Beverly Hills
01:0190210 I think outside of 90210 Vinnie from biker mice from Mars was the best
01:05thing he ever did some would say Sharknado what about Sharknado Vinnie
01:10though is also gonna stand and speaking also of 90210 he wasn't the only
01:13Beverly Hills alumni that also voiced in biker mice from Mars Luke Perry also
01:19voiced Napoleon Brie I don't know why I felt the need to all throw that out
01:23though Vinnie is gonna still stand if you want to include his antenna he's
01:26actually about six and three-quarters of an inch in height so you don't want to
01:29include the antenna you don't have to then the figure is only gonna stand at
01:32about six and a half inches in height or the figure is gonna stand about 16
01:36and a half centimeters tall second figure now in let's slide over Vinnie
01:40and look at the earlier looked at throttle one thing I like right away is
01:43the fact that nacelle chose not to make all the figures the exact same size
01:46those familiar with the cartoon will know that the biker mice all vary in
01:50size Vinnie usually then being the smallest throttle then being kind of the
01:54medium size and moto being the biggest hot dogs get your hot dogs here Vinnie
01:58actually comes included with a hot dog and it looks to be the exact same hot
02:02dog is the one we got from throttle one though can't help but notice that
02:05there's definitely a different color between the wieners stop that the buns
02:09though are exactly the same but I'm not really sure why they chose that the
02:12color the hot dogs a different color from one to the other you can of course
02:17have them holding in his hand the figure does have some swappable hands after all
02:20before we actually look at the hands let's look at some of the other things
02:23that come include the figure now if you go back to the original vintage toy line
02:26the first release of Vinnie actually came in clue with this claw tool the
02:30claw tool if you press the button back here you basically pull this back and it
02:34opens up the claw and then if you push it forward it snaps it shut original
02:38vintage toy would have had that and also to bringing back in the sprocket gun
02:42that came included throttle the original vintage toy also came with that as well
02:46looking at the two they clearly have molded this in the exact same coloring
02:49of plastic and it looks to be that they've also colored these in the exact
02:52same silver wash he also comes in clue with a crowbar now the crowbar does have
02:57a handle on the bottom of it I'm not really sure really why you would probably
03:01hold I'm sure the crowbar this way but I guess if you want to hold it more this
03:04way you could do that as well it does come with a much larger tools then he
03:08also comes include much like throttle this smaller blaster as well now unlike
03:12the hot dogs being different in color if you look at the actual two blasters they
03:16are identical to one another same purples same kind of reddish pinks same
03:20yellows as well all of these by the way can be held in his hands I know this
03:25whole time I've been kind of talking about all his accessories without
03:27actually getting down to showing you guys first of all if you want to take
03:30yourself the claw tool the claw tool has a handle right there and you can take
03:34that and put into his hand right here the handle basically just slides into
03:38his hand the only thing I have concerns with is one of the concerns I already
03:43have with one side of the figures body I worry though that this is gonna start to
03:46scrape the plastic especially if you have like the claw like this so close to
03:50his shoulders now I didn't have it on this side though and when I took him out
03:53of the packaging I noticed there was like a little scratch right there white
03:56plastic though is like if you ever have white plastic toys figure wise they're
04:00always prone to getting really dirty and scraping up and it's really anything
04:03that's colored in white I have a white car and it shows dirt like nobody's
04:07business it is probably I'm sure your business the fact that the figure does
04:10also come include with some swappable hands like for example he does have
04:13right now gripping hands if you want to swap those out the figure does also have
04:16a pair of relaxed hands right and they also of course comes include some close
04:21as well I see what they look like okay if you want to take those hands they're
04:26fairly easy to remove you just wiggle them off and just pop them off the post
04:29I didn't mention this though when we looked at throttle I'll mention that
04:32here when we look at Vinny the pegs are very small so just be careful if there's
04:35resistance stop right what you're doing stop back look look at where you're doing
04:40and maybe if anything you may have to heat this up with a hairdryer I will say
04:43though the hands are much harder to put in and they are to take out putting in a
04:46new hand for example involves some twisting on your part you have to even
04:50you can see the stress of my thumb you have to really twist them to get them on
04:53those pegs the figure also lastly comes include some swappable head scopes now
04:58when we did look at throttle he basically came with a very similar
05:01expression on his face so defaulted out of the package Vinny does have a closed
05:05mouth and then he also has an alternate head scope that's very similar in
05:08design other than this one has now an open mouth where it gets a chance as
05:13well than a shell in a cell to show you guys some talented work that they do
05:16when it comes to coloring tongues right there the red eyes as you can see though
05:20he's not sporting sunglasses this time around like throttle but he does have a
05:24bandana though on the back of his head the bandana though is a separate piece
05:27if you didn't want to swap out the heads it's just gets popping off this head and
05:30swapping out with this one whereas I had done this before with throttle and I
05:34actually kind of like the open mouth expression more I find myself saying the
05:37opposite here for Vinny I kind of like the mouth a little bit more closed which
05:40is funny though because he's always known for talking in the cartoon he
05:43never shuts up very similar to Steve Sanders from Beverly Hills 902 and oh I
05:47can't really say the same for Sharknado I mean there's been like what 12 of
05:51those the figure also comes included though with a helmet head sculpt so
05:57again if you guys are invested into getting this line from start to finish
06:01they sell will also be producing bikes for these guys as well to change out the
06:04head on this guy it's just a case again holding on you may want to also hold on
06:08to the bandana too and just be careful that you don't bend these down just
06:12wiggle the head off the post I found Vinny actually was the harder one to
06:16remove I just put that helmet head sculpt down here for a second just gonna
06:20twist it back and forth there you go you got a very long post you got a equally
06:24large sized ball joint basically you're just gonna take the new head and you
06:27just wiggle it in place now if you're having a struggle what do I always say I
06:31would say you know you can heat this up in hot water you can also of course use
06:36the hairdryer trick but again you just want to wiggle this back in place I know
06:39I don't have it all the way on there that's basically what Vinny would
06:42look like let me just let me just get it all the way on there there we go I
06:46think we got it think we got it in the cartoon actually what they do is sort of
06:50touch the sides of their helmet and the visor sort of goes maybe without that
06:54sound effect but it covers over the front of their face head sculpt looks
06:57good though I'm probably not gonna be displaying these figures at all though
07:00with their helmets until eventually I get myself the bikes why are you
07:03pointing so much let's go ahead and just actually know what seeing it really
07:08wasn't committed completely to being on that ball joint let's put on the other
07:11head sculpt now I've already put this one on before I can't I even just have
07:15to heat these up there we go all the way on there so again like we started the
07:20review with this head sculpt we then in the middle of that changed over to this
07:24one and I think for right now we'll leave it with this head sculpt so you
07:26guys can see what all three look like on the figures body now for his outfit he
07:31doesn't really have much of it doesn't have a vest like throttle but what he
07:34does have though is a sort of a bandolier that he has crossed across the
07:37front of his chest crossed across the front of his chest and of course he's
07:40got a little bandana there the bandana is a separate piece from the rest of his
07:43body if you don't like it you could I suppose remove it but I mean it really
07:47is part of the characters make makeup does have fingerless gloves everybody
07:51loves fingerless gloves you got the yellow belt there on the front
07:54everything really much looks like he does in the cartoon he does have what
07:58almost seems to be a longer tail so if you're looking at him and you're looking
08:00at throttle his tail does drop down a little bit lower so you'll notice this a
08:04lot more when you start to move the figure around so not only is he though
08:07shorter he more than makes up for it with a much longer tail so don't let
08:12what others tell you bully don't believe what other people will tell you about
08:14short people much longer tail I do like the way that they've really painted this
08:18guy so again he's got all these little I don't know if you would be having call
08:22them rivets on the sides of his pant legs those are all nicely painted there
08:25in gray they have also painted well the grace a knee pads there on the front of
08:29his front of his knees the front of his legs as well like again like the figures
08:33are really well painted and something I did say though when we looked at
08:36throttle like the plastic on these figures it's really good as well it's
08:38that type of plastic that feels like it's a good quality it doesn't feel
08:41rubbery it doesn't feel cheap it doesn't feel like a light plastic it's a good
08:45quality plastic that they're using still it's pretty unsightly though we get a
08:48little joint there in his elbows there's real no way I suppose they probably
08:51could have smoothed that a little bit more so it didn't look so rough and of
08:54course he does have more the visible sockets there on the tops of his legs
08:57probably one of the things they probably could have cleaned up maybe even just
09:00made the thighs a little bit higher up but they probably also did that as well
09:03so eventually when you do get your hands on the bike the figures can
09:06actually sit better on the bikes because they have that joint a lot of there on
09:09the top still I don't know how the tails are gonna really work when it comes to
09:12the bikes I mean of course obviously you're gonna have the characters riding
09:15the bikes like if I just bring everything forward like this you have to
09:19imagine use your imagination right now that there's a bike right here right now
09:22it's just obviously empty space but if you sitting on the bike like this you
09:25would think the tail is gonna get in the way of things and the tail does not seem
09:29articulate on any of these so for oh there is actually articulation there
09:32wasn't articulation I noticed on throttle let's just go back to throttle
09:35here yeah I couldn't get throttles to bend his tail although I also had a bit
09:40of a hang up there on the top of his thigh so I may have to go back and
09:43reassess the situation maybe I might even see if I can I may even have to try
09:47to heat that up so to go back to that as I said earlier maybe this is one of the
09:51ways that the figure is gonna be able to accommodate the bikes is the fact that
09:54tail does have articulation yes Virginia there is a Santa Claus speaking of
09:58articulation though going back to the top of the head here for Vinny that's
10:02gonna be a ball joint allows the head to rotate all the way around and there's
10:05some decent mobility to the head can look down head can look up and you can
10:09also rock it back and forth as well as for the arms now they rotate all the way
10:13around all the way around is it also just me but it doesn't seem like the
10:18colors are quite matching it seems like he's got a little bit more of a lighter
10:21color here for his arm than he does for this torso maybe the arms are painted
10:25maybe the torso is just molded in in white plastic that definitely does seem
10:29to be a little bit different of whites that they're using here it's pretty
10:31close though still I'm a bit bummed though that I got a scratch right there
10:35I didn't do it don't blame me whatever you do it came out of packaging that way
10:39it definitely does seem like it's embedded into the plastic too like it's
10:43not just like paint on there it looks like it's actually been scratched right
10:46into the plastic bummer like I said though the arms rotate all the way
10:51around you can bring the arms out at almost 90 degrees there's a swivel in
10:54the bicep a double hinge on the elbow and the hands rotate all the way around
10:58upper torso is gonna be on a very good ball joint the lower torso though sadly
11:02doesn't seem to be on a ball joint it looks to be only just on a waist swivel
11:06legs split out and you can actually split the legs a lot easier here on
11:09Vinny than you could for throttle at least my own personal experiences with
11:12it bring the legs forward and back there's a swivel at the top of the thigh
11:16double hinge on the knee there's articulation as well for the boots and
11:20ankle pivot up and down and you can rock them back and forth as well
11:23certainly those seeing Vinny which is again happens to be my favorite the
11:27biker mice from Mars first of all I really like the way that nacelle handled
11:31this franchise this licensing so far Vinny turned out really well throttle
11:35that we looked at earlier even though now I'm kind of have to go back and
11:37read like wonder is that tail articulated I can't seem to get it to
11:41move I mean if you look at it from the side there clearly seems to be a ball
11:44joint and yet I can't seem to get it to move leave it with me leave it with me
11:49looking though at so far two of the three biker mice seem to be losing my
11:53voice as well I am liking this line so far I did say this at the beginning of
11:58the review that we're kind of now saying it near the end of this review one thing
12:00I do really like as well is that they chose to make all of the figures roughly
12:04that will different sizes of course scaled the way that they would be in the
12:07cartoon I do believe though that the original vintage biker mice from Mars
12:11toys had the characters more and like kind of more in size with all one
12:14another but when we eventually they'll look at moto you'll see that all the
12:17three figures are very different in size all completely different accessories
12:20although again like I can't help but bring everyone's attention back to the
12:23miscolored wieners here why is one hot dog a brown and one other hot dog more I
12:28think really between the two unless maybe one is a seasoned dog maybe it's
12:32got a little bit more spices that they put in it I think this is more the
12:34healthier hot dogs of the two it's kind of funny also that we're looking at the
12:38new nacelle biker mice for Mars figures because just recently I read online that
12:41Walmart's planned to stock and sell the line in their local stores which means
12:45if you haven't had any chance to find these online or you're one that likes
12:49more so to shop in local stores check your Walmart's because they will be
12:53stocking them soon I say that as a Canadian collector with a little bit of
12:56sarcasm because I know very well that there's no likelihood at all that I'll
12:59ever find things like this in my stores I can't even find the main lines at
13:03local Walmart's what's the hope at all that I'm gonna find nacelle biker mice
13:07for Mars figures luckily though I did find these at Entertainment Earth I got
13:11the first batch of three I will plan to pick up as well the bikes I don't know
13:15though how much I'm gonna be getting into but buying the additional biker
13:18mice nacelle's planning to release various different previews exclusives
13:22taking a lot I'm sure of the bodies that they already have produced and adding
13:26different outfits to them I think there's like a touchdown Vinny don't
13:30know how much I'm gonna be invested in getting the line I'm certainly are
13:33invested if they are planning to release villains as I did say in the review of
13:36throttle the biker mice of course the bikes themselves and the villains are
13:40probably as far into this line I'm willing to go I say that though now give
13:44it just a little bit of time and I'm sure we're gonna be looking at previews
13:47exclusive versions of the biker mice here on this channel good news though is
