00:00From fighting the Plutarchians to being a figure in plastic, here's a look at the
00:04brand-new Nacelle Biker Mice from Mars Throttle.
00:09Rev up your engines and get ready to ride with the fearless leader of the Biker Mice
00:31from Mars Throttle.
00:33With his trusty sprocket launcher accessory, Throttle is ready to take on the evil forces
00:37of Limburger and lead his crew to victory.
00:40Standing at just over 7 inches tall, this fully-articulated Throttle action figure
00:43is a must-have for any true fan of the classic animated series.
00:47I knew there was something that stunk about Lawrence Limburger.
00:52Just before we get a closer look at the brand-new Nacelle Biker Mice from Mars Throttle, I did
00:55actually find this figure over on Entertainment Earth.
00:58They have all three stocked right now.
01:00I'll provide the links down below.
01:01Those same links will also save you 10% on anything that's currently in stock.
01:05The figure is going to stand at 7 inches in height, or this leader of the Biker Mice
01:10is going to be 17 and a half centimeters tall.
01:13To give you guys an idea of how tall the Biker Mice from Mars figures are from Nacelle, I'm
01:17going to bring in some classic cartoon characters now.
01:19Here's first what he looks like with the NECA Toys Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon
01:22Michelangelo.
01:24Here's what he also looks like with the Super 7 Master Universe, now this is the classic
01:28Skeletor.
01:29I'm going to bring in as well a Nightfall Batman.
01:31He's actually probably the closest one in size.
01:33So if you have this figure, you're going to know right away how tall this figure is.
01:37Let's bring in the Super 7, this is the toy version of Lion-O, the NECA Toys Gizmo.
01:42While we're running through the gambit of classic cartoons, well even though that Gizmo
01:46really isn't a classic cartoon, and here's also what it looks like with the NECA Toys
01:50Toonie Elf.
01:51I got a sale ready for a $36 figure.
01:53He does have a pretty high accessory count.
01:55Nacelle's also going all out with this line too.
01:58If they're going to be producing Biker Mice from Mars, you'd like to think as well they're
02:01going to be producing the bikes as well.
02:03The bikes are going to be on, well they're pre-ordered right now.
02:05They're going to be going for $46 to $47, so about $10 more than the figures themselves.
02:10Running though through the things that come included with Throttle, the first thing we'll
02:13have a look at is a Sprocket Gun.
02:14I believe the original Biker Mice from Mars, in fact now that I think about it, I did review
02:19the original Throttle years and years ago.
02:22I don't know if I even have that figure anymore, but I do remember, I do believe I remember
02:25the figure had a Sprocket Gun.
02:28The Sprocket Gun is one thing that he can hold in his hand and he actually does get
02:31backups, so if you happen to launch one and you don't know the whereabouts of that one,
02:34you then have two extra ones to worry about.
02:37There's no storage space anywhere on the figure.
02:39Like I said, this does fit into his hand, so he does have already a gripping hand on
02:42the end of his forearm, but I will say though, the Sprocket Gun does require a lot more stress
02:47on his elbows and his shoulders.
02:49It's a lot more heavier of an accessory.
02:51It does launch, although the one thing that worries me about this, and I'll show you guys
02:55how this launches.
02:56Essentially what it is, you're going to hold it from the sides and you're going to push
02:59this part forward and then that's going to basically push this outside the clamp and
03:03it's going to launch the sprocket across the room.
03:08I'll show you what it does.
03:09Actually, you know what?
03:10I don't mind that it goes way off in the, we'll just, we'll, we'll launch it and already
03:16I know it's whereabouts are going to be lost for a while.
03:19This pulls then back and then you can just take yourself your second sprocket and the
03:23sprocket basically has to fit around the clamp.
03:25On a, on a paper, this looks good as an idea.
03:28My only concern with this is the execution and what plastic they chose for this.
03:32These clamps aren't the softest of plastics.
03:36And I worry that you can already see the way this has to stress itself to get around the
03:40new sprocket.
03:41You have to really force it on there to get it in place.
03:45I know one of these days this is going to end up happening.
03:47I'm going to push this, this is going to stretch this part out and this is going to snap either
03:52this side or this side here.
03:53I'm probably never going to be using it outside of what I've just done now for this review
03:57and I'm probably not even going to worry about retrieving that anytime now because
04:00again I have two extra sprockets to worry about.
04:02I just don't think that the plastic is going to hold up long-term if you're constantly
04:06using this as a launcher.
04:08I am not.
04:09I'm going to put this off to the side instead.
04:11The figure also comes included with a hot dog.
04:13A hot dog?
04:14A hot dog.
04:15It doesn't seem to be any condiments on there.
04:17You probably could have put mustard.
04:18You probably could have put mustard and ketchup and then people have their hot dogs thrown
04:22at you because some people don't believe in putting ketchup on hot dogs.
04:25Do you believe in putting ketchup on hot dogs?
04:27Let me know.
04:28It does fit into his hands.
04:30He does actually have three types of interchangeable hands.
04:33We'll kind of run through that right now.
04:35First of all, the hand that he has in his hand is probably the best for holding.
04:38That's probably the most horrible way of holding a hot dog.
04:41There we go.
04:42You can hold the hot dog pretty decently.
04:44Now he does have variations of those hands.
04:46So here's what he got.
04:48He's got first of all closed fists.
04:49It isn't going to be holding a sprocket gun and it certainly isn't going to be able to
04:52hold a hot dog.
04:54He's got two gripping hands.
04:55One that has a glove hand for this side and then a non-gloved hand for this side.
05:00Gets a pair of those.
05:01He does also then get a gripping hand.
05:03Now the gripping hand is already being occupied on this side of the figure's body.
05:07If you want one that looks like that, just without the glove, then this is the hand that
05:10you're going to want to use.
05:11And it's just going to swap out with the hand that he has here.
05:13If you like this hand and you want to have it on this side, what are we doing here?
05:17Then this figure also comes included with a relaxed hand that has a glove variety of
05:21that.
05:22He basically has three different configurations of hands for both accommodating sides of the
05:27figure's body.
05:29He does also come included with his blaster.
05:31The blaster looks more like a Nerf gun, but to be fair though, it's pretty cartoon accurate.
05:36The colors on this are, again, you've got some nice bright pinks, you've got some purples,
05:39you've got some yellows there as well.
05:42This can also fit into his hands.
05:43So if you want to have him holding the hot dog in one hand, holding the blaster in the
05:47other, you can also do that as well.
05:51Lastly, Throttle does come included with some swappable head sculpts.
05:55Now let's just remove the blaster, we'll put it off to the side.
05:57We'll get, first of all, a look at the defaulted head that he has right now.
06:00This is the way the head sculpt looks like when you first get this guy in the packaging.
06:04He looks good.
06:05He looks just like he did from the cartoon.
06:07The thing I like about it though is that, first of all, you can remove the glasses.
06:10The glasses aren't so awkwardly pegged in place where you have to worry about big unsightly
06:15holes.
06:16The glasses literally just sit inside the crevice between the ear and his face.
06:20So all you really do is just lift it up and you can remove the glasses.
06:24He sort of does have a bit of a dead stare on his face though.
06:29Even though he is, I mean, I think even in the cartoon we do see him without the glasses.
06:32I would just prefer to have the glasses in place.
06:34Anyway, again, the way that they sit inside that little kind of little canal there, it's
06:39more than enough to keep the glasses in place.
06:41I mean, you know, you can tip it forward and the glasses aren't going to be going anywhere.
06:45Now he has this head sculpt.
06:47He also has one that has the open mouth.
06:50Short of that, it looks like the head sculpts are exactly the same to one another.
06:53You can see as well the antennas seem to be the same as well.
06:56And it's just a case of popping off this head, swapping out with this head if you want this
06:59one instead.
07:01Or if you want to have him riding, safety of course is always the most crucial things.
07:05He does also have this one as well.
07:07Now, not likely I'm going to be displaying the figure with this head sculpt unless I
07:10decide to get myself the bike down the road.
07:13And like I said, they're going to have bikes for each of the three Biker Mice for Mars
07:16characters.
07:17If you want to swap the head, it's just a case of holding onto the torso.
07:20Now you have to really be careful though, because he's got these antennas on the top.
07:22You just sort of want to hold it from the back and wiggle the head off the post.
07:28Pop that off, pop then the new head in place, and again, we're just going to wiggle it
07:32back onto the ball joint.
07:33I haven't honestly heated these yet, and I think looking at this I probably should have
07:37as well.
07:38Now he does have the visor on the front.
07:39The visor does not open, but it does give you somewhat of a similar looking head sculpt
07:44short of the fact that his antennas would be pushed down and his ears would be squished
07:47inside the helmet.
07:49Like they actually included all three heads.
07:51I mean, truthfully though, they could have easily just released the figure with this
07:54head and then this one here and just skip the third one altogether.
07:58I'm glad they actually included all three heads.
08:01And now again, just to show you guys what that looks like all the way around, the figure
08:03is painted quite well.
08:06What I also would say is too, like the plastic, the plastic feels pretty good on this figure.
08:10Sometimes though when you get a company, when you're not as familiar with a company, and
08:13I'm not as familiar with necessarily Nacelle, so I was kind of going in this with the unexpected
08:18or kind of hoping to be having high hopes for this figure line.
08:22I've got to say though, like getting this guy out of packaging and having now in hand
08:25for like the hour or so that I've been playing around with him, the plastic feels pretty
08:28good on him.
08:29There are some sightly areas, like obviously his joints, you can see they're a little bit
08:33more, not ratcheted, but you can definitely see it's not the smoothest of joint that we're
08:37dealing with here for the elbow.
08:38And you can also see as well, he's got some somewhat unsightly looking ball joints at
08:42the tops of his legs.
08:43But other than that, like the figure finishes off really nicely.
08:45He's pretty clean.
08:47And again, the paint on this guy's really good too.
08:49So we're going to pop this head back off.
08:51We're going to put back that, you know what?
08:53We started the review with a closed mouth.
08:54Let's finish the review with the open mouth.
08:56There we go.
08:57We'll just pop that back in place.
08:58I know, I know I don't have it all the way on there.
09:01For the rest of the figure's body, Throttle does have himself a vest.
09:04Now it does almost even seem like the vest is removable.
09:07I'm looking at the back of it.
09:08It doesn't look like it's adhered unless it's probably adhered on the top here, but it does,
09:12it is a separate piece.
09:13You can see it's got it as well as a little bandana underneath there as well.
09:17Like again, I said this already, like the plastic feels really good on this figure.
09:21Nice strong joints too.
09:22It's got the tattoo mark there on the top of his shoulder.
09:25It's got again, like the little rag there he's got for his, his, I guess his bracelet.
09:30He's also got again, the fingerless glove on one side, the non fingerless glove hand
09:34on the other side and a bracelet on the side as well.
09:37On the side, he does have a holster.
09:39Now the holster doesn't open up.
09:40So if you're, you're having hopes that you'd be able to remove the pistol inside, you can't.
09:44It does have again, like the green belt there on the side.
09:46This seems also like a separate piece, but they probably would have glued it on the side
09:49of the figure's leg.
09:50His knee pads.
09:51And he also does have himself his, I guess his biker boots.
09:54I was kind of surprised to see that the figure didn't have any peg holes in the bottoms of
09:58his feet.
09:59Not that he necessarily needs it, but generally figure lines always release their figures
10:03with holes.
10:04And yet this figure doesn't actually have any, because as well, I would think that if
10:07they're releasing the bikes, you would think that the bikes probably on the pedals would
10:11probably have had pegs.
10:12And then you would just literally, literally pegged the boots on top of those.
10:16But I'm sure they're probably going to be a lot easier just to attach or a ride on top
10:20of their bike.
10:21Now, for the figure's articulation, Throttle's going to have a ball joint and the ball joint's
10:25pretty good on this figure.
10:26You can rotate the head all the way around, providing of course, you have the head all
10:30the way on the ball joint.
10:31The head looks down, the head looks up, and you can also rock back and forth as well.
10:35Do bear with me while I just twist the rest of this figure on there.
10:39There we go.
10:40Upper torso is going to be on a very generous ball joint.
10:42The lower half of the figure's body only seems to have a straight swivel.
10:45The arms though come out, they're on simple ball hinge joints.
10:49You can rotate the arms all the way around, all the way around.
10:52Throttle does have a swivel in his bicep, a double hinge on his elbow, and the hands
10:57do rotate all the way around.
10:58Short of really that one hinge right there that's a little unruly and unsightly from
11:03the front.
11:04Again, the figure looks pretty generally clean all around.
11:06Yes, there's obviously going to be a joint right here that's going to attach the hand
11:09to the forearm.
11:10There's no real way around that.
11:11Probably the most unsightly would be obviously the little pegs that he has on the top.
11:15I do wish that they could have cleaned these up a little bit better so that you wouldn't
11:18see it as much, but it does at least allow the legs to hinge outward.
11:21Now, one hinge I've noticed on this leg is much tighter.
11:24I can barely move it.
11:26The other leg though has the freedom to move back and forth.
11:28You can also see that they holster the holster just above the knee.
11:32So they basically would have slid that over top of the leg.
11:35The figure does have a very generous double hinge on the knee.
11:38He does have no articulation, or excuse me, he does have articulation in the boot.
11:43Ankle pivot up and down and ankle rocker as well.
11:46Now, looking at the back of the figure, he does have his tail.
11:48The tail does not seem like it has much in the way of mobility.
11:52It doesn't even have a wireframe built into it either.
11:54I don't think it necessarily needs it either.
11:56My only really one concern that I have is when eventually these guys sit on top of their
12:00bikes, how is the tail going to be in the way of things?
12:03Like you may be able to kind of bring it around the side of the bike, or really the way they've
12:07designed it, the tail isn't going to be an issue at all.
12:09Time will only certainly tell as we eventually do get ourselves the bikes.
12:13Short of again, like that one leg right here that seems like it's really hung up, I'm going
12:17to have to probably maybe even, I don't want to submerge this guy in hot water, but I may
12:20even just run a few passes with the hairdryer just to see.
12:24Something seems to be holding up this one leg.
12:26And for the time that I've actually been kind of playing around, just kind of moving the
12:29figure around, it doesn't seem like it wants to free up all that much.
12:33So there might be something that's kind of holding back the joint.
12:35Short of that though, I do really like the look of Throttle.
12:38One of those cartoons that, you know, as a kid you come across these cartoons and you
12:42think as you're seeing them super early in the morning, because I feel like this was
12:46on super early on a Saturday morning.
12:48You watch shows like this and you think to yourself, I bet I'm the only one that's discovered
12:52this cartoon and nobody else has ever heard of it.
12:56Apparently other people have heard of it as well.
12:58Biker Mice for Mars is sort of one of those hidden gem cartoons.
13:01I'm glad to see that a company has picked up the reins of the new Biker Mice for Mars
13:05licensing.
13:06Of course, we got it from Nacell and generally from what I've experienced from the first
13:10time encounters of having, well, obviously the first Biker Mice, we're going to be looking
13:14at the other two in upcoming reviews.
13:15I'm pretty happy with how this figure turned out.
13:18He's not maybe 100% perfect, but I think he's pretty close though.
13:21The head sculpt is good.
13:22The fact that he does get himself two additional heads.
13:25The only other concern I really have is again, like the sprocket gun, the sprocket launcher.
13:30I'm probably never going to be using this ever again, just because again, like even
13:33if I do put it in his hand, I don't have any plans to ever really launch it.
13:37Because again, I worry about the longevity of that plastic eventually snapping.
13:40Other than that though, other than really not ever displaying a character with the accessory
13:44that he comes included with, so really no complaints there.
13:46I am really happy with how this one turned out.
13:49At the time of shooting this review, it seems that there's only listings online of Throttle,
13:53Moto, and Vinny and variations of them as well as their bikes.
13:56I do hope that Nacell has bigger plans for this line outside of just the bikes and the
14:00mice that ride on top of them, that we do get some of the villains as well.
14:03Just as likable as the mice were the villains that were in the cartoon.
14:06Lawrence Limburger Carbuncle Grease Pit would be ideal candidates, perfect for a figure
14:12line.
14:13In fact, the Biker Mice from Mars was part of an original figure line I just happened
14:16to look at Throttle years ago.
14:18I think also the sprocket gun was one of the included accessories.
14:21The sprocket gun works okay, I mean it works better than expected, I wasn't really expecting
14:26it to shoot as far as it did.
14:28My worries though with it is the kind of plastic that they use.
14:31That kind of plastic works okay for accessories, I don't think it works as well for things
14:35that are launching on accessories.
14:37When you have things that launch, there's a certain type of plastic that they use.
14:41I don't think it's this kind of plastic that they're using that's going to be the most
14:44forgiving if you're launching discs regularly.
14:46I'm probably never going to ever display this though with Throttle.
14:49Right now though, my plan is just to have the blaster in one hand, the hot dog in the
14:53other.
14:54Depending on where you're going online to try to track down the Biker Mice from Mars,
14:57I can tell you at least that Entertainment Earth does have listings already for Throttle,
15:02Moto, and Vinny.
15:03I did pick them up over there.
15:04As far as I know, they are still in stock.
15:06If you guys are interested and would like to get your hands on maybe a cartoon series
15:10that you also thought you were the only one that ever even knew it existed, there were
15:15apparently other people that also like Biker Mice from Mars as well.
15:17But if you did, yes, want to get your hands, you can click the various links down below
15:21in the video description.
15:22Today, of course, we were having a look at the brand new Nacelle Biker Mice from Mars,
15:26and this was the leader of the Biker Mice, Throttle.
15:29If you guys did enjoy this video, do it a solid, throw it a like.
15:31You guys want to stick around for more, so I hope so because not only are obviously we're
15:35wrapping up the review for the leader, but we are also going to be looking at the Cyborg
15:38Mouse Moto, and we're also going to be looking at the mouse with a cool attitude Vinny in
15:43upcoming videos.
15:44As always, guys, thanks for watching.
15:45See you guys next time.
