00:03Here's a look at the new Nacelle Biker Mice from Mars Modo Cyborg Mouse.
00:25Are you ready to rock out into battle with Modo, the one mouse army with a heart of gold?
00:29He may not be the quickest thinker around, but Modo more than makes up for it with his bionic arm and rocket gun.
00:35Standing at almost 8 inches tall, this Modo action figure is a must-have for any true fan of the classic animated series.
00:42Just for the record, I'm sure the Plutarchians could beat Modo if he had one arm tied behind his back.

00:49Before we look at the tallest of the three brand-new Biker Mice from Mars figures from the folks over at Nacelle,
00:54one correction, though, I did want to make from the earlier two reviews.
00:57I'm sure you guys have already let me know down below in the comments section.
00:59I kept calling the company Nacelle. I was thinking too much of Star Trek.
01:02I think it's actually pronounced Nacelle.
01:04This is the third Biker Mice from Mars. This is Modo.
01:07Modo was actually voiced in the cartoon by actor Dorian Harewood.
01:10If you don't recognize the name, you probably recognize the face.
01:12He's been in various action movies. The one I remember the most is 1995's Sudden Death starring the one and only Jean-Claude Van Damme.
01:19Modo, though, is going to be the tallest, and he actually stands, if you include the antenna, about 7.5 inches in height.
01:26You don't want to include the antennas. I don't know why.
01:28Then it only drops the figure down to about 7.25 inches in height, and that works out to be a figure that's about 18 centimeters tall.
01:34As for the other Biker Mice from Mars, here's what Modo looks like along with Throttle and also what he looks like with Vinny.
01:40Now, they're scaled pretty well. I feel, if anything, they may have maybe wanted to make Vinny just a tad bit taller.
01:46I think, though, in the cartoon, Throttle was about 6'4", Vinny was about 6'1", and, of course, Modo being the tallest, he was about 6'9".
01:53But even though I still feel like Vinny probably could have been just a hair bit taller, here's what the three Biker Mice from Mars figures finally look like together.
02:00The burning joke in these reviews seems to be the fact that all three figures come in clue with hot dogs, and Modo is no exception.
02:05If you're looking, though, at the hot dogs, and, of course, we have to bring in the other two, this was the one that we got in clue with Vinny.
02:11I think, from a wiener color standpoint, they're about the same color. So, really, Modo's is the only wiener that stands out. Stop that.
02:19You see the three hot dogs together. Still don't really know why Nacelle chose to have the hot dogs all different colors, even though, really, these two are the closest in colors,
02:26and why they're absent of any condiments whatsoever. At the very least, throw a little bit of mustard on these, unless maybe just the mustard was too close in color to the coloring of the buns.
02:35At last, we're going to talk about hot dogs for a very, very long time.
02:39The figure also comes in clue with a blaster. Now, the blaster also is the exact same one.
02:44Oh, I got a little bit of tape there left behind. All of these, by the way, were taped inside the tray. I guess not. I've removed all the tape.
02:51But they are the same blasters, if I can actually hold all three of them, same blasters as the other two Biker Mice from Mars.
02:57Why? I seem to be all thumbs here. There we go. You can see all the three are identical.
03:02They almost, like, I mean, looking at the end of them, they have holes on the ends of their barrels, almost leading me to believe that, at one point, they had planned, like, blast effects.
03:10But, as you can see, I mean, lay of the land-wise, you can see there's no blast effects to be found here.
03:15The blaster does, though, hold in his hand. Even, really, with the hands that he has right now, you can just take the blaster, you can just fit into his hand like that.
03:24I mean, it's a pretty simple tutorial. How does a figure hold a blaster?
03:28The answer, though, to that question is not honestly the easiest. With the hand that he has right now, he just barely holds onto the pistol.
03:36The hand, though, that he has right now is actually a little bit more better suited for the cannon that he comes included with this big, large-barreled gun.
03:43I think it's a rocket launcher. The original toy also had this as well from way back when, although the original toy would have had this all cast in, like, a dark gray plastic.
03:52I'm not really sure why they chose to make this gold when, if they wanted to make this look like the original vintage toy, why not keep the colors of the accessories the exact same?
04:00My only real guess is that if you look at also the lay of the land of the plastic of the figure, there's so much already grazed all over his body anyways that I think they want just to mix things up a little bit and add some nice, necessary gold.
04:11Looks good, though. I mean, obviously, it can hold in his hand as well.
04:14Let's get that into his hand.
04:16And definitely, that hand is a little bit better suited for this gun versus the other pistol.
04:21He does also have some swappable hands. Yes, he does.
04:24He's got some closed fists.
04:26Obviously, following the formula, I mean, whether you're an alien mouse or not, thumbs will always go in.
04:31You can also, as well, just match the colors.
04:33That will be the side for a cybernetic arm. This will be the side that goes on the other side.
04:37And, of course, he also comes with a pair of relaxed hands. Same formula, same rule of thumb applies.
04:42The figure also comes included with some swappable head sculpts.
04:45Let's just pop the cannon out of his arm right now.
04:50So, he gets three head sculpts, even though I'm really only pointing at two.
04:54I'm only showing two because he already has one on the end of his neck.
04:59But he comes with also two variations of that, as well.
05:02The one that, obviously, if you're going to be riding around and bike, you want to make sure that your safety is first.
05:07It does also come included with the helmeted head sculpt, which, really, again, is no different than the ones we got before.
05:12So, there was Vinny's. Where was Throttle's? Throttle's is right here.
05:16So, it seems strange that I'm holding all three heads just on the ends of my fingers.
05:20All three of them came included.
05:22I mean, obviously, Moto's has to be so much bigger because he's the bigger character.
05:26This will swap out in a second.
05:28Also, the character comes included with, I would say, really, my favorite of all the head sculpts we've gotten so far from the biker mice.
05:34This is my favorite.
05:36The only thing I would say, though, if we do want to look to some of the canon of the cartoon, when Moto would get angry,
05:42one of the things that he would do is that the side of his eye would glow, like the entire eyeball would glow red.
05:47Now, obviously, in order to make one eye red, I mean, the only eye that he really has right now,
05:53it would mean that this head sculpt would basically be only good if you want to make an angry Moto.
05:58I suppose that probably one of the reasons why they chose not to do that is if you just wanted to have a regular-looking expression Moto,
06:04then this is the better head sculpt to go with.
06:06That's probably one of the reasons why they chose not to make his eyeball red.
06:09Just, again, like a little reference to the cartoon.
06:11Changing out the heads, though, by the way,
06:13the head that we start with first out of the packaging does have, though, Moto with his mouth closed.
06:18You can still see he's got the little teeth sticking out there.
06:21I mean, like, really between the heads, I love this head sculpt so much.
06:24He's got little piercings there. He's got two ears pierced.
06:27Oh, he's got two earrings pierced on one side of his ears. He doesn't have it on the other side.
06:31And, of course, he's got the antennas on the top.
06:33Couldn't help but also notice, as well, that the antennas on this head sculpt are a little bit further apart from one another than this one here.
06:39The antennas, by the way, are kind of a softer plastic.
06:42Probably a good thing, too, because if you're trying to put the head sculpts on top of Nex,
06:46you almost feel like you want to be putting the pressure here,
06:49and you really have to kind of put that pressure more to the back because you obviously don't want to be pushing these down.
06:54To change the head, though, is just pop that off the ball joint.
06:57Replace it with this one, which, again, is my favorite of the three.
07:00Or, if you want to have it displayed with the helmet, just, again, you're popping that back onto the ball joint.
07:05Some pressure may be required on your part to get these actually onto the ball joints.
07:10I have, though, with the frustrations I already had with the other two figures trying to get the heads on there,
07:14I have heated this, although I probably didn't heat it nearly enough,
07:17but the head would have, like, that helmet instead if you want to go with that look.
07:22So, with that, we'll put back on my favorite of the three,
07:25and we're going to just twist that onto the ball joint here.
07:28Now, for the look of the rest of the figure, he looks very much like he does from the cartoon.
07:32He's got one robotic arm.
07:33Unfortunately, one thing that the arm has to now sacrifice in order to be a robotic arm
07:37is that he only has one hinge in his elbow instead of two.
07:40You can see, though, the way everything lines up, though.
07:42It gives you a perfect bend.
07:44I didn't really spend a whole lot of time talking about this, and I really should have.
07:48When we look at the articulation on the figure,
07:50the thing I really like about them is the way that they handle the double hinge in the elbows.
07:54I mean, normal figures, obviously, do succeed when it comes to double hinges,
07:58but this is one of the better ones where it doesn't feel like there's this gap, cut-in mark.
08:02Sometimes, when you get a double hinge on the elbow,
08:04what ends up ultimately sometimes happening is you get a little ledge right here
08:08where the top of the elbow ends here,
08:10and then, of course, you've got the bottom of the tricep right here.
08:12So there always seems to be a little gap.
08:14You get a nice, fluid motion here with the double hinge on the elbow,
08:18which is something I did want to talk about.
08:19Head sculpt, though, looks good on this guy.
08:21Now, the top of his torso here, his armor piece, is separate from the rest of his body.
08:25The likelihood is why they've done that is because they're also doing previous exclusives
08:29of the Nacelle Biker Master of Mars figures with different outfits.
08:33Instead of having to worry about the cost of tooling a brand-new torso piece every single time,
08:38I'm sure that all they've really done is just molded, of course, the torso as it is without anything on it,
08:43and then just molded anything separately so that you would just add the pieces over top
08:48depending on what figure of that version of Moto you're getting.
08:51So, again, from what I've seen, at least online,
08:53there's two different other variations of Moto with different outfits,
08:56so that's probably why they've smartly decided not to mold this as all one torso,
08:59and, again, why they've had that as separate pieces.
09:02Color looks good on this guy, though. He looks very much like he does in the cartoon.
09:05Purple looks quite good, and, again, you've got the bright red here.
09:08The paint, one thing I will say, though, is that the paint looks really good on all these figures.
09:11I haven't had, so far, other than really Vinny with one mark on his shoulders,
09:15I haven't experienced any real paint problems at all with these figures.
09:19Again, this guy does have the articulated tail.
09:21One thing you'll be also happy to know, if you guys have been following the exploits of the person behind the camera,
09:25I did have problems earlier with Throttle's tail.
09:28I finally have now been able to free it.
09:30It was tight, and I couldn't get it to budge at all.
09:33I went back with a hairdryer, and I just made a few passes,
09:36and then I had to really put a lot more pressure than I was expecting to,
09:39and, finally, that tail gave way.
09:41So that's probably why, now, you can get these figures to sit properly on their bikes,
09:45because, of course, now the tails are going to be getting out of the way.
09:48For the articulation, though, for Moto, picking the figure back up,
09:51it's basically going to be the same as both Vinny and Throttle.
09:54So if you're familiar with those figures, you'll be familiar with what this guy's able to do, as well.
09:57Head's going to be, again, on that ball joint post, so it's going to rotate back and forth.
10:00You have the head looking up, and you can have the head looking down.
10:03You can also rock it back and forth, as well.
10:05Now, the shoulders come out.
10:07Now, where they've designed the shoulder pads,
10:10I would have thought that that would have caused conflict when it comes to bringing the arms outward.
10:14I thought, okay, there's no way I can get the arm any further out than this,
10:17but, somehow, it's able to pull that off.
10:20I don't know how, but it's able to do it, and I'm glad that it does.
10:24You can take the arms and rotate them all the way around.
10:26That's on both sides, as well.
10:28He does have a swivel here.
10:29Now, again, he has to lose one point of articulation here for the elbow,
10:33but he still manages to have it fully with a double hinge on this side.
10:36Hands rotate also all the way around.
10:38The upper torso...
10:40Don't pop the head off, whatever you do.
10:42There we go.
10:43The upper torso's going to be on a ball joint,
10:46although it's really tight on Moto here.
10:48The lower waist is also on a waist swivel.
10:50Legs split out.
10:52And, again, I did mention this in the other two reviews,
10:54that, you know, it's a shame, though,
10:56that, unfortunately, you have to see these unruly ball pegs at the top there
10:59that allow the figure's legs to move forward and back.
11:01I mean, they probably could have moved this a little bit further up,
11:04but to get the range that we're getting right now for these figures
11:07and for the fact that they have to eventually sit on bikes
11:09is probably one of the main reasons why we have to deal with these the way that they are.
11:13I mean, at least they're colored somewhat the same.
11:16You can probably see they're a little shinier, though,
11:18than everything else that's below it.
11:20But, you know, again, it's bothering me less the more that I'm looking at them.
11:23It does, though, at least grant them a swivel at the top of the thigh.
11:26The figure does have, again, a very good range in the knees.
11:29Articulation here for the boots.
11:31You can move the ankle up and down, and you can also rock them back and forth as well.
11:34I may have said it already.
11:36If I haven't, I'll say it here.
11:37The figure doesn't have any peggles in the bottoms of his feet.
11:39I don't think it necessarily is going to work at all anyways with the bikes
11:42because I would have just expected that the figures would have tabbed on to their pedals,
11:46but it doesn't seem to be the case.
11:48It's probably just a case more so that they're going to sit on top of their seat, and that's it.
11:50And, of course, you've got yourself your tail articulation.
11:52That moves back and forth all the way around if you wanted to,
11:56and they also hinge out as well.
11:58All in all, though, a good line.
12:00This really does wrap up what we've been looking at here with the nacelle,
12:03and, again, I say nacelle, not nacelle, of the Biker Meister Mars figures.
12:07We had already looked at Vinny.
12:09Of course, we did start things off with Throttle,
12:11and now we're wrapping up the reviews with Modo.
12:13Whether you were a fan of the original toy line way back when,
12:16which, again, like a lot of the accessories,
12:18more so like, again, these little gimmick accessories
12:20were all the things that came with the original toy line.
12:22Modo's really wasn't necessarily a gimmick.
12:24It was just a really large gun, and it wasn't really cast in this color,
12:27but, again, I like the gold that they've chosen instead.
12:29I like this line quite a lot.
12:31I'm looking forward to, of course, getting the bikes.
12:33I don't think, as far as I know, the bikes are out yet.
12:35They're on pre-orders through various online sites.
12:37As it also stands, as well,
12:39each one of these figures are selling online for around $36 apiece.
12:42The bikes are going to be going for around $46 to $47,
12:45so about $10 more difference than what we're getting for the figures.
12:48I think Nacelle has done a really good job on this line.
12:50I'm looking forward to seeing what else the company has in store
12:53for us Biker Mice for Mars fans.
12:55I did say earlier that Modo does have separate armor
12:57from the rest of his torso,
12:59and a lot of that probably had to do with the fact
13:01that Nacelle was going to be releasing
13:03other variations of the Biker Mice for Mars,
13:05and from a tooling standpoint,
13:07it just would have been a lot easier to produce
13:09that molding tool separately from the rest of his body.
13:12Now, with the case, though, of Modo,
13:14Modo and, really, all the rest of the Biker Mice for Mars
13:16are getting touchdown versions of them,
13:18where they're basically wearing football jerseys.
13:20The arms seem to be the same.
13:22In fact, actually, he's using the exact same shoulder pieces
13:24at the top of his arms as the touchdown version of him,
13:27and there's also two variations of them.
13:29There's a regular touchdown, which is previews exclusive,
13:31and then there's going to be a black and white version of that as well.
13:34Not really as interested, necessarily, of the black and white.
13:37To be all honest, not really all that interested
13:39in getting the touchdown version of the Biker Mice.
13:41I think just the regular Biker Mice for Mars are more than enough.
13:43The question, though, does ask,
13:45should I be considering getting more than one of these?
13:47One to have been displayed on the bikes,
13:49and then one to be displayed without their helmets.
13:51With at least the price I've got to say
13:53that Nacelle is selling these for,
13:55$36 to $37 a piece,
13:57with all the things that you're getting,
13:59and a decent quality of plastic that they're using as well,
14:01I don't mind spending a little bit extra
14:03to get a second set of these,
14:05one to have been displayed with their bikes,
14:07when they do eventually pick those up,
14:09and then one to be displayed, like I said, without the helmets.
14:11All of the three figures have been quite good.
14:13My favorite, I would still say, is Vinny.
14:15Vinny, if anything, I would say is probably just a little too short.
14:17I know, again, their sizes do vary in the cartoon,
14:19but maybe Vinny does come up
14:21literally just a little bit short.
