01:35Today we got scheduled talk.
01:39I'm here for it, Jay. I'm here for it.
01:44I want you to check your beautiful mic there right after we get into it here.
01:48The thing I'm most excited about when I see this schedule, Jay,
01:52beyond the opening, obviously opening night we knew about,
01:55October 22nd against the Knicks at TD Garden.
02:00But the fact of the matter is the Golden State Warriors and Steve Kerr
02:05are coming to town, Jay, on November 6th,
02:08just two weeks into the year.
02:11And that's one that everyone in my head was going to have circled anyway,
02:14but to get that one out of the way that quickly,
02:17that for me is going to be exciting because I expect that to be,
02:20that could just be the best crowd of the year period, even including ring night.
02:24Steve Kerr is going to be a hated man now in Boston.
02:29Oh yeah.
02:31I wouldn't have expected that going into the Olympics,
02:34but now the crowd is going to let him have it.
02:37It's too bad Jason Tatum is not a vindictive guy.
02:40It's too bad he's not into stirring up drama because if he were,
02:46and if he were honest about how he probably felt about his DMPs
02:52and his limited playing time in the Olympic run,
02:55then that would be an even juicier game.
02:58But instead, Tatum usually takes the high road,
03:01almost always stays drama free,
03:04and he probably won't say anything about his personal feelings
03:08about Steve Kerr in that whole situation.
03:10We'll just kind of have to guess that he's probably a little mad
03:14and who knows, maybe he'll go out and try to have 60.
03:18If he goes nuts in that game,
03:22do you expect him to take any type of a jab at Kerr?
03:27And even coming off of last season,
03:31the treatment they gave Jaylen Brown in that game,
03:34when they didn't even guard him,
03:36and the Suffolks just ripped apart the Warriors.
03:39That was always going to be an intriguing game anyway,
03:41but now you factor in the Tatum part of it,
03:43with the Jaylen aspect of it of last year
03:45and him obviously not being on Team USA.
03:48That's not a Steve Kerr decision, the roster-wise there,
03:51but I'm sure that we'll just pile on there.
03:54Is this the most anticipated game of the year to you on this schedule?
04:00Probably? Yeah, I would say yeah.
04:05None of the playoff series were long enough or grueling enough
04:09or competitive enough to really create a new rivalry.
04:15I don't think there will be a lot of animosity for a Mavericks game,
04:20let's say, even though they met in the finals.
04:23It was a quick series. It was not a very competitive series.
04:27It's not like those teams had bad blood throughout that round.
04:34So I think the Steve Kerr storyline is probably the best one.
04:41And the wild card to me is how does Joe Mizzoula handle it?
04:47Yeah.
04:49Does he say Steve Kerr was crazy?
04:52Does he say that Tatum should have had tons of minutes?
04:57Does he go out of his way to back Tatum there?
05:01Or does he just minimize it?
05:03I don't know. Joe, he'll probably minimize it would be my guess,
05:06but you never really know with Joe Mizzoula.
05:09And then also, does Jalen Brown say so?
05:13I think it's more likely that one of the other players
05:16says something about Steve Kerr.
05:18Maybe Jalen would be, because Jalen can be outspoken at times,
05:22and he could lump in the way that the Warriors guarded him last season
05:28and be like, look, this idiot decided not to guard me at the three-point arc,
05:33and I just let them up, and we won by 9,000 points.
05:36And then later in the summer decided Jason Tatum
05:39was not worthy of minutes in the Olympics.
05:42So yeah, the Warriors-Celdics game is the one for me.
05:47There's going to be a lot of other games that will be exciting,
05:51a lot of other stretches that will be great.
05:55But that one, and just to see all the layers of it.
06:02Does Tatum go out and just gun
06:05and just try to prove to Kerr he was a moron?
06:09Is he yapping at the bench? That would be so unlike Jason Tatum.
06:13But I think it's also something he's never experienced before
06:17where a coach didn't really have full faith in him
06:21and didn't consider him part of the plan.
06:24So maybe it'll bring up mad Jason Tatum.
06:28I feel like Jalen Brown unearthed a new side of his personality this past season.
06:34After the loss to Miami, he just turned like he was just a psychotic competitor this year.
06:41And he's always been tough. He's always been hardworking.
06:44He's always been about the right stuff.
06:47But this year just took everything to another level.
06:50And maybe we'll get a new side of Jason Tatum
06:53where he's just vindictive, out to destroy Steve Kerr.
06:58And then Draymond will probably be chirping at Steve Kerr, too, on the bench.
07:02Draymond!
07:04What an amazing...
07:07I still can't believe he just chirps his own coach, his own NBA coach.
07:12You need to get the eyes in the ears in the podcasting world,
07:16and that's certainly a way to do it.
07:18But I just love the fact, Jay, that this is...
07:21Because if this game was in January or February,
07:24it would be like, OK, time has passed.
07:27It would be intriguing, but the fact that...
07:31It wouldn't be so fresh.
07:33But the fact we get it so early in the year,
07:35where this is one that everyone's going to circle outside opening night there
07:40and wounds are still probably fresher for everyone involved,
07:45that makes it just great.
07:47Great. On the top of the fact,
07:48the Warriors coming into town is always a big story, regardless.
07:52But, yeah, I look forward to Jaylen Brown just saying,
07:54you know, taking a backhanded jab at Steve Kerr,
07:58saying, you know, Steph Curry led him all these titles,
08:02and Steve Kerr just longed for the right.
08:04I look forward to one of those comments coming out.
08:06I need something.
08:08Because this whole last season was drama-free.
08:14There was not a single extracurricular headline
08:21that we were able to write about basically the entire year, I would say.
08:26There was nothing.
08:27There was not...
08:30It was an incredibly efficient, ruthless run through the NBA by the Celtics,
08:36and they had no time for the extra stuff.
08:38I don't expect that to change.
08:40The personalities they have, including Jason Tatum,
08:43most of all Jason Tatum,
08:46are just kind of robotic, approach every day the same.
08:51Jaylen's one of the ones who's not always like that.
08:55He can speak his mind a little bit more than certainly Tatum does.
09:01But I need the beef.
09:05I need Tatum to go at Steve Kerr.
09:07I need Steve Kerr to say a weak explanation
09:11for why he benched Jason Tatum in the Olympics.
09:14I need someone to chat with Draymond
09:18and get his unfiltered thoughts about that
09:23and how he thinks it impacted Tatum.
09:26It's going to be beautiful.
09:29And also because the Warriors,
09:31now that the Celtics have won the title,
09:34a rematch against the Warriors doesn't have as much juice as it used to.
09:39And also because the Warriors just aren't the same as they used to be.
09:45So we needed that game to have a little more luster,
09:50and now it does, baby.

11:11What else stood out to you about this schedule,
11:16whether it's a game, a stretch, whatever?
11:21Yeah, I think just looking at the early part of the Season J,
11:25I think this one is kind of a little bit of a break here
11:28because we know Kristos Porzingis is going to be out through November
11:32and probably into December as well.
11:35And the Celtics schedule in the first six to eight weeks here,
11:39it's just very manageable, it seems like.
11:41You have the Knicks on opening night,
11:43you have a couple home games against the Bucs and the Warriors and stuff,
11:49but by and large, no tough road trips,
11:53barely any tough road games, period.
11:56And so that, I think, is pretty big, potentially,
12:00in terms of helping them manage the life of Al Porzingis
12:03for the first couple months and be where they want to be in the standings
12:06while also not having to lean too heavily on Al and company in the front court.
12:12So the fact that they don't have the long West Coast trip
12:15to start the year in November or December,
12:17which they sometimes do have, those come later,
12:20I think that should bode well for them, I would think.
12:23What's your read on that?
12:26So, I'm almost the other way.
12:31Like, they showed enough with Al Porzingis this season,
12:35including during the playoffs when they just rolled everybody
12:37while he missed most of the playoffs,
12:40that I wouldn't be worried if I were them entering the season
12:44with a center rotation of Horford, Cornett, Tillman, Nemi.
12:52I think they'll be fine in those games.
12:56The portion of the season that could get dicey for me
13:00is when he comes back.
13:02I think it could be tough to reincorporate him.
13:04And I think, obviously, they play a different style when he plays,
13:09and not being able to work on that throughout the preseason,
13:14not being able to work on that in training camp,
13:16not being able to work on that in the early part of the regular season.
13:18Once you have to reincorporate the post-ups,
13:21once you have to just involve him,
13:24he's probably going to be coming off the bench,
13:26probably going to be on a minutes restriction when he first comes back.
13:29So, I think the worst they play,
13:33or not necessarily the worst they'll play,
13:35but there will be more challenges to bringing Kristaps back,
13:40at least initially, than having him gone early in the season.
13:44So, if I were them, I would have wanted that smooth sailing
13:49after he comes back.
13:51I think that's really interesting.
13:53Because you're right,
13:55there will be no worse time on the schedule for him to come back than January,
13:59which is just an absolute bloodbath of a month of a schedule
14:04with two long road trips,
14:07and pretty much all the Western Conference contenders
14:12being faced on those trips like that.
14:14It's weird to have the two long road trips in a month span.
14:19That's just brutal, no matter how you slice it, that's brutal.
14:22To have two trips like that, period, in a month,
14:24and to have it...
14:26You go pretty much the central, middle of the country,
14:30Western Conference road trip,
14:32and then follow that up with four games and six nights
14:35against the Warriors, Lakers, Clippers, and Mavs.
14:38That's just some tough sledding right there.
14:41Like you said, if Porzingis is coming back during that stretch,
14:44figuring out how to integrate him
14:47while also trying to navigate that
14:49will be certainly a challenge to say the least.
14:52Yeah, and certainly sitting him some nights.
14:57How they navigate the Horford thing this season
15:02is going to be interesting
15:04because this past year, part of it was that they had Porzingis.
15:10Part of it was that they just had...
15:14I don't want to call it an easy year
15:16because it's hard to be as good as the Celtics were,
15:18but they were good enough.
15:20They were able to just kind of pace things.
15:23But kind of minimizing Al Horford's role,
15:27or not stretching him out too often,
15:30I thought was a big part of last season.
15:33And just making sure that you don't put too much on his shoulders,
15:39which I thought the previous season they had to,
15:42and they did when Robert Williams was out.
15:46So how do you get Al Horford rest?
15:48How much do you play Al Horford when Chris stops his out?
15:52How many times do you give him just a night off on back-to-back?
15:56And what do you do when he does?
15:58Is it just Cornette starts,
16:00and Nemi or Tillman come off the bench?
16:04Do you play smaller?
16:07How does Joe Mizzoula navigate all of that?
16:11I don't think it's the worst issue to have.
16:14Obviously, they played great basketball without Porzingis.
16:18But it's just like it's going to be,
16:22like you have to keep things light on Al Horford.
16:25He's only getting older.
16:27You need him in the playoffs.
16:29He is every single year in the postseason.
16:31He is absolutely crucial.
16:33And we saw this past postseason just how crucial he is,
16:36because you cannot trust Christoph Porzingis to be on the court
16:39for two straight months in the playoffs.
16:43You just can't.
16:44You cannot trust him to get through that physically the whole way through.
16:49When he's out there, he'll help.
16:50When he's out there, he'll be great.
16:52But if you expect him to play 25 or 30 games in a two-month span,
16:59I think you'll be disappointed.
17:02I think he'll probably deal with something.
17:04Even if he plays every game, I think he'll be dealing with something
17:07just because historically that's how it's been.
17:11So just get through that and rest Al as much as he needs it.
17:17Be fresh.
17:19It's going to be interesting because the expectations of this past season
17:23of playing as well as they did, like you have to live up to that almost.
17:30Obviously, you're going to get some benefit of the doubt
17:34because you did just win a title and the way you did it.
17:38But if you start to struggle, if you start to lose games,
17:42it's like where's last season's magic?
17:45And I think managing those expectations and knowing
17:52that it probably won't be as easy, it probably won't be as dominant,
17:57will be one of the issues Joe Mazzulla has to tackle.
18:00Yeah, there's going to be some form of adversity.
18:04Probably.
18:05You would have to guess.
18:07You can't have two straight seasons.
18:10They put together another seamless season, but it already is.
18:15It's like you already have Porzingis.
18:17That's already a bigger absence than they had at all last season.
18:21Porzingis is going to miss more games to start the year
18:24than a longer stretch than he had all last year.
18:27Yeah, but I will say the reason we say there was no adversity
18:30is because they were just so dominant no matter what happened.
18:34But it could have been easy to say, like,
18:36Chris Osward Porzingis went out in the playoffs.
18:38That was adversity.
18:39That's true.
18:40That's fair.
18:41He went out in the finals.
18:42That was adversity.
18:43But it's just like we don't look at it that way
18:45because they just blitzed everyone anyway.
18:47Right.
18:48That's a fair point.
18:49So when you look at the big man situation,
18:53will be one to watch from a standpoint of like Cornette played,
18:57had a phenomenal year.
18:58And Tolman didn't need him much, but he had his moments
19:03and he was out there and even need me early in the year.
19:05Like everyone was like, Holy shit.
19:07This guy is coming off two way and giving them service.
19:09Well, minutes off the bench on these nights.
19:11When Alan Christophs were off or whoever,
19:14if one or two of those guys start to fall off,
19:19and then that's when things get a little like trickier.
19:21Then it's small lives with Shireman, baby.
19:24It's Shireman time.
19:26But I think it seems like Joe just and this is something
19:29with like he likes to go like they like to lean
19:32into big over small, particularly in the regular season.
19:35They don't like to play, you know,
19:38Tatum at the five, you know, understandably.
19:41So like you look at the track record,
19:42what's worked for them last year,
19:43like even going double big with Cornette now and stuff like that,
19:47or things like that worked for a lot of the year.
19:50And that's the stuff where it makes Brad Stevens clearly is hoping
19:55that we can just run back that magic this year and everything comes
19:59back into place and everyone knows their role and,
20:01and we can make it work while keeping Alisman's between 20 and 25 per game.
20:06But if, if one of those guys drops off or someone else gets hurt,
20:12that's important.
20:14Then things become a little dicier to manage the schedule wise,
20:18but it is it's they're set up to be able to do it.
20:22And now the fact, I mean,
20:23how much do you expect within this schedule grind, Dave?
20:26Like that they're, they're just going to be
20:32not going to like,
20:33we know that Joe Missoula took his foot off the gas in terms of chasing
20:36the one seed, you know,
20:37and playing guys into the ground more in the regular season last year.
20:41But do they even pull up even more from that this year?
20:46I think you have more competition.
20:48I think you have to.
20:49I think you've proven that it probably doesn't matter whether you're at home
20:53or on the road.
20:55And I don't mean that just the title run.
20:58I mean,
20:59the last few years,
21:00the Celtics have been more than capable of getting playoff wins and big
21:05playoff wins on the road.
21:07It just doesn't matter.
21:09And then after so many of your guys played on the Olympics after Chris
21:15Osborne's Angus got surgery with Al Horford,
21:20nearly 40 years old.
21:22You just have to just slow things down as much as you need to.
21:27I don't think,
21:28I think you need to pace Jason Tatum.
21:30I think you need to pace Derek white,
21:32drew holiday.
21:33Those guys have played a ton of basketball,
21:35just so much basketball.
21:37And,
21:38and Tatum,
21:39like he hates sitting.
21:41He hates not playing.
21:4240 minutes in the game.
21:43He hates it.
21:45Well,
21:46I think you need to find them nights.
21:47I think you need to find nights where you get them 32 minutes.
21:50I think you need to find them nights where you just don't play them at all.
21:53I think you need to get them on board with that just because of how much
21:56basketball he's played.
21:57Or I guess he didn't play that many minutes.
22:00Take care of that though for them.
22:02I'm looking out for you guys.
22:03Maybe Kerr was just doing Joe Missoula,
22:05a solid,
22:06who knows?
22:07But seriously,
22:08like I think with all those factors,
22:10the,
22:11and,
22:12and the championship hangover of just like you won the championship,
22:16you don't have that motivation anymore.
22:18Can you still reach the level you did last season?
22:22Can you still be on the same page after winning a championship where
22:26nothing else matters other than winning?
22:28If the sellers can get there again,
22:30then obviously.
22:33The,
22:34you know,
22:35there is no limit on this team.
22:37They can do whatever they want.
22:38But,
22:39but you have to get there again.
22:41And just because you bring all the same guys back,
22:44doesn't mean it'll be the same mix.
22:46Doesn't mean you'll play exactly the same way.
22:48It doesn't mean the same guys will deserve the same shots and same touches
22:52every year is different.
22:54Hey,
22:55do you know what's fun?
22:56Summertime activity going down to Fenway and watching the Red Sox play
23:01baseball.
23:02I did it a couple of days ago and it was a lot of fun and I got there
23:05using game time.

23:34Joe Missoula looking like a second baseman there.
23:38Game time is the absolute best place to get last minute tickets,
23:42flash deals,
23:43zone deals.

24:21Last minute tickets,
24:22lowest price guaranteed.
24:25I do wonder though,
24:27how much,
24:28we talk about the championship hangover and the grind and not like throwing the
24:31Olympics into play here adds an extra element,
24:34but the fact that there really wasn't much adversity at all last year.
24:41And the fact they were able to be on cruise control for essentially the last
24:4520 games of the regular season,
24:47having walked up to one seed and then with a playoff run with no series going
24:51beyond five games.
24:53I wonder if that just does,
24:56you know,
24:57obviously they worked their ass off to get there,
24:59but they aren't coming off of 105 game grind.
25:04Like they probably worked the year,
25:06the last two years before that,
25:07like even like,
25:08you know,
25:09the heat seven games,
25:10like I bet going to seven in every series and that back then,
25:14you know,
25:15you could argue that that was probably coming off a tougher season than last
25:18year.
25:19Now that,
25:20how much does those,
25:21you know,
25:22five or 10 games actually matter in the big picture for going to next year?
25:25Right now,
25:26do I expect this team to get gassed at points?
25:28Probably,
25:29especially given the fact they're starting a week earlier than everyone else
25:32with the,
25:33with their international preseason games against nuggets.
25:36But it is like they did set themselves up here of having,
25:39you know,
25:40maybe the smoother path coming off a title than a team has had in price since
25:44you know,
25:45the 17 warriors or 18 lawyers,
25:49another notable game,
25:51probably the game.
25:52That's most notable in a good way.
25:57December 7th,
25:58Marcus smart comes back and probably plays against the Celtics in Boston for
26:02the first time.
26:03I think that could be a really fun night.
26:05I think the crowd will give smart an awesome ovation.
26:10I'm looking forward to being in TD garden for that one.
26:14Nice.
26:15Eight o'clock start for that one too.
26:16On a Saturday night,
26:17there'll be a,
26:18I hate late starts.
26:20I hate late starts.
26:21There's nothing nice about it.
26:25For the fans.
26:26I want to have an extra drink or two to welcome Marcus back,
26:29but yeah,
26:30not,
26:31not for us.
26:32I do love how much there are a lot of day games for us,
26:34Jay,
26:35that I'm excited about in this schedule.
26:36I didn't even look at the times.
26:37While the one three thirties on Sundays,
26:39give me all of that.
26:40Yes.
26:42The,
26:43the,
26:44the,
26:45the dad train here is going to be very excited about the day.
26:47A lot of ABC one and three thirties and a bunch of sixes too,
26:51which is nice.
26:52Always nice to see those mixed in home and road on here.
26:56Should we go month by month?
26:57Yeah.
26:58So you just took us into November with the,
27:00the Marcus matchup,
27:01but that's like,
27:03it's easy to overlook stuff like that.
27:05Like it's just to forget that.
27:06Oh yeah.
27:07Marcus hasn't played in the garden yet.
27:08Like there's,
27:09there's so many of those moments that we've,
27:12that kind of flew under the radar last year in midst of their run.
27:15Their run now with allow,
27:16be cool to see that actually come play into play.
27:20And,
27:21and I wonder,
27:22you know,
27:23how he'll handle just talking about,
27:26I mean,
27:27always this team back here after watching them win it.
27:31Yup.
27:32That's going to be a big one.
27:36Philadelphia on Christmas day in Boston.
27:41Good for the writers.
27:42Don't have to travel on Christmas day.
27:44Another one that Wednesday night,
27:47no Wednesday night,
27:48Thanksgiving game to Jay,
27:50which is another big one for us.
27:51That's huge.
27:52They always have a Wednesday.
27:53I didn't even look at that.
27:54That's amazing.
27:55So they only know.
27:58And that's a fun week.
27:59Actually,
28:00they play the wolves November 24th on Sunday,
28:02three 30 game.
28:03Love it.
28:04And then they had the Clippers seven 30 on the Monday and then nothing until
28:08Friday after Thanksgiving in Chicago.
28:10So that's for everyone.
28:13God bless him.
28:15One of the best stretches in Boston is March 2nd.
28:21Nicola Jokic.
28:22Actually.
28:23Yeah.
28:24March 2nd,
28:25Nicola Jokic,
28:26March 8th,
28:27Lakers and LeBron James,
28:28March 12th,
28:29Oklahoma city thunder.
28:31Like that's a powerhouse two weeks in Boston.
28:34And we're all in the sixers on the sixth and the sixers on the sixth.
28:38So,
28:39but,
28:40but the other guys,
28:41you only get one chance to see them.
28:42That's a good point.
28:43Yeah.
28:44The sixers,
28:45they're playing them all the time.
28:48Although this,
28:49this new sixers team,
28:51it'll,
28:52it'll be fun to see how they mesh.
28:55Does Paul George give them a chance to be a legitimate contender for the
28:59first time in Joel Embiid's career?
29:02We will see.
29:03Does Joel Embiid go on a F Steve Kerr tour just like Jason Tatum might
29:08could be,
29:09could be,
29:10I don't know.
29:12I don't know.
29:13Uh,
29:14Web and Yama,
29:15February 12th.
29:17Get your tickets now.
29:20He didn't play in Boston last year,
29:22right?
29:23That,
29:24that would be his first time in Boston playing.
29:25Yeah.
29:26He didn't play that game.
29:28That'll be a big one.
29:29That'll be a big one.
29:31Got to get,
29:32what else?
29:33Chris,
29:34what else you got here?
29:35Yeah.
29:36Well,
29:37Jeremy,
29:38so hand
29:41um,
29:42yeah,
29:43I'm seeing a bunch of,
29:45some interesting
29:48like back to
29:50Jason Tatum only gets to go to Charlotte once back to back November 1st and
29:54second.
29:55And,
29:56uh,
29:57why do they always do the,
29:58the back to backs with,
29:59with Charlotte?
30:00I feel like,
30:01yeah,
30:02that was like home,
30:03home,
30:04back to backs.
30:05Yeah.
30:06I feel like it always happens in Charlotte,
30:08like the last place beat writers want to stay for several days at a time.
30:14Well,
30:15if we get out of there in 48 hours,
30:16um,
30:17I'm really looking forward to,
30:18you know,
30:19we talk about the next opening night,
30:21uh,
30:22the Celtics having a chance to go up against Malcolm Brockton again,
30:24October 24th in Washington.
30:26That is,
30:27uh,
30:28be a nice road opener to see how Malcolm,
30:32he didn't play against the Celtics at all.
30:34I don't think he played against him last year.
30:35No.
30:36So that's another,
30:37they didn't see any of their old guys last year.
30:39Rob Williams.
30:40When,
30:41when,
30:42when does Portland come to town?
30:43I don't know.
30:44I think that's probably during,
30:46that might be during that same trip.
30:47I think in March.
30:48Yeah.
30:50Wednesday,
30:51March 5th,
30:52right after yoga comes to town,
30:53Rob Williams,
30:54maybe have a chance to come to take the floor at TD garden.
30:57Add another one to that one.
30:58That's a big stretch.
30:59Yeah.
31:00What a stretch,
31:01but for you in your mind,
31:03which is,
31:04if you have the peg,
31:05what's the toughest road trip or the year right now out of that,
31:08you know,
31:09the early January,
31:11um,
31:12the late January and the West coast.
31:15And then you have this end of March odyssey,
31:19another six game road trip,
31:23um,
31:24through three different time zones.
31:25I think they had something similar last year,
31:28but now this is all against West teams.
31:29Like what's,
31:30what do you expect,
31:32um,
31:33to be if you had to choose one of those to be the toughest one?
31:35What's your,
31:36the longer one is always the toughest one to me.
31:39The more,
31:40the more miles around your body,
31:41the tougher it is.
31:42I remember last year going into last year,
31:45was it December or January when the Celtics just played like game after
31:49game,
31:50after game,
31:51there was no rest and they,
31:54they actually got through it.
31:55Okay.
31:57Um,
31:58but like the rest of the year they had like a 12 net rating and that
32:02month they had like an eight net rating.
32:04And it was like very clear that they were not at their best,
32:08just kind of slogging through it compared to their,
32:10their normal standards.
32:12And it was just kind of like,
32:14actually the schedule is brutal.
32:16Like I think when you watch it on TV,
32:21it's easy to just think,
32:22how can these guys not get up for it?
32:24How can they not just be ready to play 48 minutes,
32:28even if it's a back to back once a day,
32:30once a day,
32:31like,
32:32and then you,
32:33you go through the travel a little bit and it's like,
32:36Oh my God,
32:37like I'm fucking exhausted sitting there watching the fourth game in six
32:42nights.
32:43Like I can barely,
32:44like I have to set like seven alarms to wake up in the morning so that I
32:49don't miss my,
32:50my flight.
32:51And,
32:52and then I'm just crushing like 19 coffees so that I can stay awake for the
32:56game at night.
32:57And then you realize like,
32:59Oh wow,
33:00this,
33:01this travel stuff is really,
33:02really difficult on bodies.
33:04It's really,
33:05really difficult mentally.
33:06And so I'll go with the longer one.
33:09That one's going to be the tough one.
33:11Although the,
33:12the four game trip with Timberwolves,
33:15Rockets,
33:16Thunder,
33:17and Nuggets is a pretty tough one,
33:19especially if the Rockets take a step forward with some of their young
33:23talent.
33:24Yeah.
33:25Yeah.
33:26That could be the three best teams in the West and then a Houston team on
33:29the rise.
33:30Yeah.
33:31But yeah,
33:32it's a,
33:33I'm with you on the March.
33:34Like this,
33:35we'll play one home game.
33:36Jay in a,
33:37in a three and a half week stretch from the end of March,
33:42like from March 13th crazy to April 1st,
33:46they'll play one home game in there and an eight road game.
33:50So there,
33:51there'll be bouncing all over the place,
33:53playing in three different time zones on that trip.
33:55The trip last year,
33:56they at least had,
33:57you know,
33:58they had whatever the,
33:59the five random days in Atlanta with two games spread out,
34:02like over four days in that stretch,
34:05but this time they're,
34:06they're just bouncing around the whole way.
34:08So that will,
34:09that'll be one where ideally you have,
34:13they've taken care of business and the standings at that point in the year,
34:16because they obviously this,
34:17they were trying to win plenty to the end last year,
34:21but they,
34:22they,
34:23the pressure wasn't on,
34:24they had their own firm control for,
34:25you know,
34:26essentially from,
34:27for like five months.
34:28Yeah.
34:29For five,
34:30from the all-star break,
34:31they had locked up,
34:32but so,
34:33so hopefully,
34:34you know,
34:35Joe Mizzou,
34:36it doesn't tear his meniscus again,
34:39after two tough losses on that trip,
34:41like he did against Atlanta last March.
34:44I also want to see the bucks game.
34:47I want to see whether the bucks can kind of get it together this season with
34:51doc doc in place for a full off season,
34:54a little bit better,
34:57at least rotation with a little more athleticism,
35:01a little more two way talent.
35:02When you have Giannis,
35:05when you have Middleton,
35:06when you have Dame,
35:07like they'd never pieced it together last year,
35:11but I wouldn't count that team out yet.
35:12So I look forward to seeing them.
35:14I think that one's in October 28th,
35:18I believe.
35:19Yeah.
35:20They actually,
35:21you see,
35:22we had three bucks games,
35:23Jay,
35:24before December 7th.
35:26So they're not going to like Porzingis might not see the bucks this year,
35:29period in the regular season.
35:32We'll see when this,
35:33I assume they're going to play him in a fourth game down the line,
35:36but if that's on a back to back or something like that,
35:38which Celtics bucks games have a tradition of being that he might not get a
35:45sniff of them until the playoffs are actually,
35:47they might be done.
35:48They might only play each other three times this year.
35:50That's an interesting little wrinkle there.
35:52Is there any other team from Miami conference?
35:56Yeah,
35:58that's always a competitive game.
36:02Those two teams,
36:03I don't know if dislike is the right word,
36:05but there's enough history there that those teams,
36:08they both bring it and they both want to beat each other quite a bit.
36:13So I'm into that.
36:15Yeah,
36:16there's a lot of like pretty interesting teams,
36:20at least there's a lot of pretty uninteresting teams,
36:25I guess as well.
36:27And it doesn't help that normally every year,
36:30like the teams with the top three or four picks,
36:32you're like,
36:33Ooh,
36:34I can't wait to see that team.
36:35Yeah.
36:36I can't wait to see Victor women Yama.
36:38Like let me,
36:39Oh,
36:40it's going to be cool to see Chet Holmgren in person or whatever.
36:43Now it's like,
36:44eh,
36:45I could do without Alex,
36:46our resource.
36:48Hey,
36:49all these guys like this,
36:51they don't think they're going to do it for me.
36:53Yeah.
36:54I'll take,
36:55take read Shepard,
36:56but I'll be.
36:57Yeah.
36:58Read Shepard.
36:59Give me some read Shepard.
37:00Give me all the read Shepard.
37:01I'm a little intrigued to see the right,
37:05but no,
37:06I'm intrigued to see a little bit like the remade Clippers and Warriors.
37:13Just from a curiosity perspective of like,
37:15are the Clippers is going to be a middling playing team or is the
37:23supporting cast that they brought in going to be able to do enough.
37:26And it's quite going to be able to,
37:27you know,
37:28actually play 60 games for a change and the Warriors too.
37:32Like they made a lot of,
37:33I don't know if they're good changes.
37:35They made a lot of interesting changes after that.
37:37I think the Warriors will be better.
37:38I don't know whether they'll be good enough,
37:39but I think they should definitely be better.
37:41Especially if they get steps forward from Podjemski and Kaminga.
37:47Yeah.
37:48Which I think is possible.
37:49I like Podjemski a lot.
37:51The way he plays Kaminga,
37:53like when he's on,
37:56man,
37:57he looks good.
37:58So,
37:59and then I liked some of their additions too.
38:02Yeah.
38:03Melton,
38:04if he stays healthy,
38:06Kyle Anderson should help.
38:08Like they got the types of players that they need.
38:11Coming off the bench there will be interesting too.
38:14And then we also have got a circle March 10th.
38:18Sve comes back to get his ring at the TD Garden,
38:23hopefully wearing his hat.
38:26Yes,
38:27but that's kind of crazy.
38:29That's going to be one.
38:30There'll only be one guy.
38:31I mean,
38:32I assume O'Shea will sign with someone and be back as well,
38:35but that's nuts.
38:37Two of those nights over the course of the year.
38:40And they'll just be for Sve and O'Shea percent.
38:44Yeah,
38:45that is kind of wild.
38:46They just,
38:47they're just bringing everybody back.
38:49Run it back.
38:50Run it back.
38:51We'll run it back every day,
38:53Monday through Friday,
38:54every week,
38:55because we are the greatest Celtics podcast of all time.
38:58Sign it up.
38:59If you want to subscribe,
39:01patreon.com slash still potable.
39:04It's the dead of the off season,
39:06but we'll be going all off season.
39:08Training camp is actually just,
39:10just about a month away.
39:11Now media day,
39:12just about a month away.
39:13It is coming.
39:14Basketball is coming pretty soon.
39:17Jason Tatum will be cussing out Steve Kerr on the warrior
39:20sideline as the Celtics get off to some kind of start.
39:25Maybe it'll be great.
39:26Maybe it won't be.
39:27Maybe they'll have a championship hangover.
39:29Maybe they won't.
39:30We'll see.
39:31We'll be talking about it all.
39:33And we love you all the kids,
39:35the gods,
39:36and the legends and everybody at CLNS listening to us too.
