00:00Can you say hard hats, folks? Hard hats, munch pails, steel-toed boots?
00:06Anything short of a championship this year is a fail.
00:08Look at this boomer right here.
00:10You've just got so much talent here.
00:12Somebody's saying we need to apologize for Jalen.
00:14Can I pull the John? What are we apologizing for? What did we say? What did we do?
00:18Hey, Bobby Manning here. Welcome to Celtics-Lakers postgame from Summer League from Vegas.
00:32It's still early here, so thanks for everybody joining us from the East Coast.
00:36It's like 1 a.m. out there.
00:38I thought John was joining us, but it is late out East, Noah.
00:42So we'll handle this.
00:44Welcome in, everybody.
00:46We're going to talk about Celtics-Lakers in a little bit here.
00:48But obviously, bigger news here, what we just talked about with Jalen.
00:54We've been talking about it for about a week now, Noah, the whole situation about him getting snubbed from Team USA.
01:02He was pretty happy to talk to us about it.
01:06He didn't reveal everything, but what we learned tonight is he does think Nike played a role in him being snubbed.
01:12And as I think we speculated, he did call white once people started talking about that whole thing.
01:22And made sure that they were good and congratulated him and all the rest there.
01:26So those were the two big things he talked about here today.
01:30How does that change or update how you're feeling about that whole situation?
01:36Yeah, it was interesting.
01:38Yeah, it was interesting.
01:40So I think the main takeaways from our conversation with Jalen that kind of came right around halftime since he was here courtside.
01:48Was A, that he is definitely feeling motivated by the situation.
01:52B, was happy to talk about it.
01:54I think he wanted to talk about it, but he really didn't need to.
01:58And then the fact that he called Derek white.
02:02I think we all knew that, but it was good to have that be confirmed.
02:04Because it was a big point of speculation about their relationship.
02:08He said, obviously, he knows I love him.
02:10Obviously, he knows I'm really happy to have our guys there.
02:12I think people started having this feeling that Jalen wasn't happy that there were Celtics players on Team USA.
02:18And very clearly he said today, I'm happy that we have a bunch of our guys out there.
02:22So I think it'll probably call a lot of the chatter around it.
02:26Doesn't change the fact that that was the discourse around the days that Derek white was first named to the team.
02:30Wasn't a completely celebratory thing.
02:32And I think the tweets did have some to do with that.
02:34But it doesn't sound like the kind of thing that he's doubling down on.
02:38That's going to spill over into the next couple of weeks.
02:40I think tonight kind of wrapped that saga up.
02:42At least in my mind.
02:44Yeah, and that's the benefit of talking and clearing the air.
02:48And I think he clearly wanted to do that.
02:50I did not think he was going to talk to it.
02:52Alongside Angel Reese and take his courtside spot.
02:56I love that he talked.
02:58I love the answers.
03:00Now again, he didn't go in depth on the Nike stuff.
03:04But given that his tweet was a little vague about his accusation of their involvement here.
03:10He did come out pretty definitively.
03:14And accused Nike of playing a role in this.
03:18And here's what he had to say about that.
03:28What was that about?
03:30Do you think they had any role in you being left off?
03:32I do for sure.
03:34There will be more stuff to come with that.
03:36But as of now.
03:38I'm not going to comment on it.
03:48That was that on Nike.
03:50I don't know how much more we're actually going to hear from him about it.
03:52But that does make me think Noah.
03:54Because it's what I initially thought when he threw that out there.
03:56He must have heard something.
03:58And whether it was someone from Nike.
04:00Or someone that's connected in some way.
04:02Or just rumblings about what happened there.
04:04Something made him go to Nike.
04:06In that circumstance.
04:08I don't think it was just.
04:10Spiracy in that moment.
04:12I've had issues with Nike in the past.
04:14They're involved with Team USA.
04:16They must have played a role here.
04:18I have to say.
04:20I have to think he heard something.
04:22And I'm not expecting him to explain this more.
04:24Because I think with some of the other situations.
04:26In the past with Jalen.
04:28When you want to hear a little bit more about it.
04:30You don't end up hearing more about it.
04:32But it's interesting that he did tease.
04:34Maybe having some more details.
04:36About why he thinks Nike was involved here.
04:38Yeah.
04:40You're right.
04:42I think it's one of those things.
04:44Maybe in 10 years.
04:46He writes a book.
04:48And then we find out all these things.
04:50That we wanted to know over the years.
04:52But I think for now.
04:54That's all we're going to get.
04:56And the reality is.
04:58The Team USA stuff.
05:00I kind of do get it.
05:02I get why players are frustrated.
05:04I feel like if they just had a tryout.
05:06And they had more transparency.
05:08Around the process.
05:10Then there would be less qualms.
05:12From players who are kept out.
05:14Because we look at the roster.
05:16There's no way to actually compete on this.
05:18The way that there used to be.
05:20And then obviously the Nike component.
05:22It's no secret that they're super entrenched.
05:24With Team USA.
05:26And it's no secret that Jalen's had.
05:28An adversarial relationship with Nike.
05:30I think there's definitely truth to it.
05:32Whether that's the reason.
05:34Or whether they wanted a connector.
05:36Who might not play at all.
05:38And won't care.
05:40Who knows what's the real reason.
05:42Derek also made a really compelling case.
05:44I don't think it kind of sucks.
05:46That the whole snub thing.
05:48Came at the expense of Derek White.
05:50But he just wanted to make a point about Nike clearly.
05:52So that was that.
05:54And here he was.
05:56Talking about his exchange with White.
05:58After the announcement.
06:00What was the balance for you.
06:02Between sharing some of your frustrations.
06:04And also congratulating him.
06:06Absolutely.
06:08I called Derek right away.
06:10Just to make sure there's no confusion.
06:12And all of that.
06:14He knew that.
06:16And he did.
06:18You don't always have to make anything public.
06:20But me and D-White are good.
06:26So that was the gist of the Jalen situation.
06:28I guess he also talked about.
06:30Getting together with Al Horford.
06:32And some other teammates before long.
06:34And getting back to our back center.
06:36So that process for next year.
06:38Is going to begin sooner rather than later.
06:40So square one for the team.
06:42The championship celebration is over.
06:44He mentioned as well.
06:46In some of the comments to us there.
06:48So there's motivation.
06:50He said he's fired up over the snub.
06:52He's expecting to use it as motivation for next year.
06:54And I did think that was also the case.
06:56That as much as this is about.
06:58His problem with the process.
07:00Of these kind of selections.
07:02And his status in the NBA.
07:04And the Nike situation.
07:06We just hit on.
07:08I also think there's a component of Jalen.
07:10Needing these types of snubs.
07:12Or slights to fire him up.
07:14To reach another level.
07:16And it makes sense because of the steady progression.
07:18You've seen from him throughout his career here.
07:20So I'm with you Noah.
07:22I'm glad he put the white thing to rest.
07:24Because if that noise.
07:26Just kept stirring around them.
07:28And there was no real.
07:30At least public resolution there.
07:32That was going to probably get frustrating.
07:34For everybody involved.
07:36I think it's all a bit over here.
07:38But we'll see.
07:40Yeah absolutely.
07:42And the other take away.
07:44From our quick four minute.
07:46Scrum with him there.
07:48I think he's really fired up.
07:50About running it back for next year.
07:52Tatum's made some comments.
07:54Like we're celebrating the championship.
07:56I was at my extension.
07:58And Joe Mazzullo was bringing up plays.
08:00And I was like Joe we just won the championship.
08:02He sounded like he was like.
08:04We're back to square one.
08:06Other teams are getting better.
08:08It doesn't surprise us based off of what we know about Jalen.
08:10And the way he responds to wins and losses.
08:12And things like that.
08:14But he was really happy to answer those questions.
08:16About running it back.
08:18And he sounds super motivated.
08:20And like you said.
08:22I do think that he really values.
08:24And feeds off of hate.
08:26Or feeling snubbed.
08:28Or feeling unappreciated.
08:30And certainly this is a justified feeling.
08:32I think it's a great opportunity to come back and show them.
08:34Even though we all know he already showed them.
08:36He just won finals MVP.
08:38Right?
08:40Yep.
08:42So Jalen courtside here in Vegas watching.
08:44I don't know if we'll see him again tonight.
08:46But he did leave in that second half.
08:48And we've seen Hauser here.
08:50Brad's been alongside.
08:52So it's a limited cast Celtics.
08:54Obviously the whole front office is here as well.
08:56But players still off celebrating.
08:58Players still enjoying their summer.
09:00It's been a long run here.
09:02But it was good to see Jalen.
09:04Given that he's not in Abu Dhabi.
09:06Supporting the Celtics here.
09:08Well I was thinking about it.
09:10I was thinking who else might show up.
09:12Just be around Vegas.
09:14You've got three guys in Abu Dhabi.
09:16And then you have five guys on the team.
09:18Five players from the actual roster.
09:20So there's not a lot of players left over.
09:22So we saw two of them.
09:24But this is kind of a weird setup.
09:26Where you have so many guys that are actually on the Celtics roster.
09:28We can kind of account for most of them.
09:30And why we're not going to see them in Vegas.
09:32Yeah absolutely.
09:34And so I think that's enough on Jalen.
09:36We've talked about it a ton.
09:38Again it wasn't great at first.
09:40The situation there.
09:42But I think he handled it pretty well today.
09:44And put a good resolution to it there.
09:46And you can get the full interview on CLNS Media.
09:48It's up there now.
09:50We're going to get into the game here as well.
09:52But I want to give a shout out to our sponsor.
09:54That I used today Noah.
09:56They have an Aces game tomorrow.
09:58Alongside Jack out here.
10:00And I used game time.
10:02And they are going to play Chicago.
10:04That's why Angel Reese was at the game here today.
10:06And it was a great process.
10:08Saw the prices laid out in front of me.
10:10Best deal.
10:12They had a little star next to it.
10:14So I went right over there.
10:16Grabbed them.
10:18I even found the same section Noah and Jack are sitting in.
10:20So I'm going to be pretty close to them.
10:22And I'm looking forward to it.
10:24I've been to a WNBA game since last summer.
10:26And that's all available in the game time app right now.
10:28Browse through.
10:30You can see MLB games.
10:32Other high profile events going on this summer.

11:26Lowest price guaranteed.
11:28So on to the game tonight.
11:30Celtics Lakers.
11:32Not a ton of brawny in this one.
11:34I know people in the chat are talking about Jalen.
11:36Lip reading too.
11:38Saying I don't know if this guy is a pro.
11:40That's again what you're looking at here from his game.
11:42But on the Celtics side.
11:44You definitely saw a couple guys vying for minutes.
11:46We talked to Jordan Walsh again this morning.
11:48And he really didn't back down all that much.
11:50About that goal he has for this year.
11:52About being part of the Celtics team.
11:54And I want to get to Cater as well.
11:56Who is the story of this game.
11:58I thought his bounce back performance in this one.
12:00Even greater.
12:02And he has a better chance.
12:04At least with where the roster stands.
12:06And actually playing a role on the Celtics team this year.
12:08But Walsh wants to be in that rotation.
12:10Walsh wants to be in Boston.
12:12I don't think he's making any decisions.
12:14Dispersion about that otherwise.
12:16And I obviously asked DJ the other day.
12:18Noah about that.
12:20And how they're feeling about it.
12:22And the conversations they're having there.
12:24And he wouldn't rule it out completely.
12:26But he stressed that patience.
12:28And we've seen it Noah.
12:30He's so eager.
12:32Walsh is.
12:34He's such a perfectionist out there it looks like.
12:36When he makes mistakes.
12:38You see him get frustrated.
12:40There was even a moment early in this game.
12:42He thought he wasn't getting fouled.
12:44And then the whistle came in late.
12:46And he was just like.
12:48But he had a better start in this game.
12:50Steals.
12:52A block early on Dalton Connett.
12:54He had that great defensive stand on him.
12:56In the post.
12:58And Connett's a bigger taller player.
13:00He was able to strip him and get out on the run there.
13:02So you saw it.
13:04Not a great shooting night.
13:06Didn't hit a three.
13:08But he was able to get involved in other ways.
13:10Yeah definitely.
13:12Jordan looked better.
13:14I still think.
13:16And I love that he said that today.
13:18The number one thing that I need to work on.
13:20Is being out of my own head.
13:22Because it's so obvious.
13:24I've watched him play so much.
13:26Both in Maine and in Summer League.
13:28He literally missed two shots.
13:30I think he was better tonight.
13:32He's still not seeing consistent offense.
13:34Or finding himself super comfortable offensively.
13:36But yeah I think he looked better.
13:38He certainly sounded a lot happier.
13:40With his performance post game.
13:42He totally bounced back.
13:44Locked in defensively.
13:46So I think hearing him talk about Jordan's performance.
13:48It almost kind of highlighted.
13:50How much of a better showing that it was for him.
13:52But surely I think he's going to want to see the ball.
13:54Go through the net more.
13:56And he just hasn't had one of those games yet.
13:58Yeah definitely not.
14:00And it's tough without the shooting.
14:02And it doesn't seem like he's totally comfortable.
14:04Yet in that role.
14:06That he'll probably play in Boston.
14:08The defensive discipline.
14:10I think is going to be the biggest thing.
14:12You can't follow as much as he does.
14:14At the NBA level.
14:16And I know he wants to stay aggressive.
14:18I know he wants to have his hands and arms in a lot of plays.
14:20He didn't follow the night.
14:22Which was great.
14:24So again the defensive performance.
14:26Came a long way in this one.
14:28But you know Joe.
14:30He wants the spacing.
14:32He wants guys who draw defenders out to the perimeter.
14:34I think it's really on the youth and experience.
14:36That we didn't see him at all.
14:38Until the late stages of last year.
14:40At the NBA level there.
14:42And I've said it before Noah.
14:44I think the plan was two years in Maine for him.
14:46From the start.
14:48And he's going to have to do something to change that.
14:50Whether it's now.
14:52Whether it's in training camp.
14:54I think the opportunity emerges from the fact.
14:56That O'Shea is not on the roster still.
14:58She's not on the roster still.
15:00So you're losing two wings there.
15:02And easing guys like Jalen and Jason into the season.
15:04A little bit more than you were a year ago.
15:06Given the schedule they're on.
15:08Especially for a guy like Tatum.
15:10Who's playing in the Olympics.
15:12So there will be spots.
15:14But you can go smaller with a Springer in those circumstances.
15:16Shireman so far.
15:18Has played better in this summer league.
15:20I'd say through two games.
15:22Than Walsh has overall.
15:24And Shireman wasn't great tonight either.
15:26Peterson is in the mix.
15:28He went at four for eight from three tonight.
15:30So that's a tough position Walsh is in.
15:32Yes he's getting older.
15:34Yes he's adding more experience here.
15:36But there's other guys joining the team.
15:38And there's still no clear path to minutes here in the near future.
15:44So that plays in Maine right?
15:46So he can play.
15:48So he can make the mistakes.
15:50And they're not as consequential.
15:52And this is still the little stuff obviously.
15:54I would have to imagine he has to still get stronger.
15:56Even more than he did last year.
15:58And the shooting is everything there.
16:00So that's why DJ said right now.
16:02It's about the steps.
16:04And I still think Walsh is in that process of focusing more on the steps.
16:10Rather than that ultimate goal.
16:12Yeah definitely.
16:14And shout out to Cobra Crease for the contribution.
16:16I'm currently down $70 for the week.
16:18I told myself I'd let myself lose $200 for Vegas.
16:22So maybe now I'm down $60.
16:24That's how I'm going to say it.
16:26Noah's putting the call out to replenish her account.
16:32So she can keep playing.
16:34I'm not putting the call out.
16:36I'm saying thank you.
16:38So yeah no.
16:40Much appreciated.
16:42But Bobby to your point.
16:44I think there's so many different players that are in the mix right now.
16:46For that last spot.
16:48Of maybe seeing the court a little bit like O'Shaded.
16:50Nobody here is really going to play substantial minutes next year.
16:54I think the most likely of the wing players.
16:58Between Baylor Shireman, Drew Peterson, and Jordan Walsh.
17:00Is Baylor.
17:02I do think he looks the most ready to me.
17:04From kind of an all around standpoint.
17:06And obviously he hasn't had a great shooting game yet.
17:08And he's going to have one of those.
17:10But even last game.
17:12You know 3 for 7.
17:14Started 0 for 3.
17:16Bounced back a little bit.
17:18Or quite a bit.
17:20And so I do think he looks the most NBA ready just across the board.
17:22With those shots on.
17:24He looks really good.
17:26Like tonight he looked good.
17:28And game one I thought he was really struggling across the board.
17:30So he's one of those guys.
17:32I watched a lot of him in Maine last year.
17:34He looks like a different player every night.
17:36That's really very sharp contrast.
17:38And then Jordan yeah I think he's still a year away.
17:40That's what it looks like out there.
17:42He's still going too fast.
17:44I don't know.
17:46I really like him so much.
17:48I really believe in him.
17:50And Summer League.
17:52I don't know that he's an NBA player right at this moment.
17:54And especially not on a team like the Celtics.
17:56That doesn't really have a ton of room.
17:58For like just go out there and play.
18:00Right.
18:02That's not the role that anybody on this team is going to have.
18:04So Baylor to me seems the most likely of those three.
18:06To actually be able to in the next year or two.
18:08Get some real minutes.
18:10And actually contribute.
18:12And again on one hand we're sitting there being like.
18:14Oh Jordan he's already this is his second rodeo.
18:16He's a second year player.
18:18But on the other hand.
18:20Baylor is someone that's like what three years older than him.
18:22Right.
18:24So he has that advantage.
18:26You can see it out there.
18:28He looks more poised.
18:30He looks like he's more of a veteran player.
18:32But I do think Keita.
18:34Keita looked a lot better tonight than he did the other night.
18:36And I'm optimistic that he's going to be able to help chip in.
18:38And especially in the early parts of the season.
18:40When we know Porzingis is going to be out.
18:42And he sounded just so happy to be locked in for the next few years.
18:44Yeah.
18:46And he did that tonight.
18:48Right from the jump.
18:50Two and a half minutes.
18:52Seven points on the board.
18:54Like I said.
18:56I want him to go from 60% shooting.
18:58To 70% shooting Noah.
19:00And he did exactly that in this one.
19:02Along with getting to the line.
19:04And some rim protecting moments early in this one.
19:06Great night for Keita.
19:08Who you want to see look above the competition here.
19:10And he finally did.
19:12Here's him talking about his new three-year contract with the Celtics.
19:14What was that process like?
19:16It was pretty good.
19:18Whenever they didn't pick up the option.
19:20We kind of figured out that it was probably the best idea to come back.
19:24Both sides are happy with the work that we put in this year.
19:28I was just glad that they wanted me here for the long run.
19:32It was pretty easy to pick up.
19:34It was pretty easy to settle down on the contract.
19:38And all that was easy.
19:41What are you and her team hoping to accomplish this year?
19:45Yes, there is Nimi.
19:47Sorry.
19:49You know what else was interesting to me, Bobby, from post-game?
19:51Celtics summer league head coach, DJ McClay.
19:54Said that they're really using summer league.
19:56One of the key objectives.
19:58Is helping Nimi get more acclimated to the different defensive schemes.
20:01And you kind of forget that the point of summer league isn't to win.
20:04And it's not to have guys have good box scores.
20:06But it's to actually work on very tangible things.
20:09That are going to be helpful for the Celtics in a lot of ways.
20:12They're going to say that it's for winning.
20:14But at the end of the day, they're working on individual developmental things.
20:17And so something for us to keep our eye out for.
20:20Is that they're practicing different schemes specifically for Nimi.
20:23Because that's something that he struggled with last year.
20:25As far as switching and being versatile.
20:27And kind of knowing the system.
20:29And so pretty cool to see that that's a use case for him.
20:32As a 25-year-old in summer league.
20:33That he's actually kind of running through things.
20:35That he can hopefully be ready to go in Boston.
20:38That's where I get stuck.
20:39And here come the comments again.
20:41He's coming for Luke's job.
20:43He's going to replace him.
20:45And I don't like doing it, Noah.
20:47Because I love Keita.
20:48I thought he was a steal of a signing.
20:50He's developing.
20:52He's going in a great direction.
20:54And he's got plenty of time here to acclimate and earn that role.
20:58But I just don't know what people are watching.
21:01When they're saying he's better than Luke.
21:03You hear DJ postgame.
21:05And we're going to have that full interview up on C&S Media here.
21:08The defensive acclimation to what the Celtics are going to have to do out there.
21:14Eventually needs to happen for him to be able to get into that role.
21:18I asked him how much he's going to be able to fill in for Porzingis.
21:22And like you heard him say, it's defense.
21:24And Luke, he's a master of that drop scheme.
21:29He's so good at it.
21:30He fills so much space in there.
21:32He covers ground in the pick and roll.
21:34And then offensively you're getting all this passing.
21:37You're getting the great vision.
21:39The free throw shooting too.
21:41It looks like Keita's got a decent free throw approach out there.
21:44But that's another layer to it.
21:46And the one thing you give Keita is the rebounding.
21:48There's great physicality and hands on the boards.
21:51Which we talked about the other night here, Noah.
21:53So I think that's why people look at him and view him as refreshing.
21:57Because sometimes Luke's kind of batting the ball around.
21:59And has a tough time hauling it in.
22:01So I'll give him that one.
22:03But Luke came a long way on the offensive glass last year too.
22:06So I like what Luke's doing.
22:08I like what Nemi's doing.
22:11I like the trajectory he's on.
22:15But I don't know how you can watch Luke fill backup center minutes all year.
22:20Double big minutes next to Al.
22:22Playoff minutes through the first two rounds.
22:24He put up a near double-double against Cleveland.
22:28And we're talking about a two-way guy last year.
22:31Who's now on a standard contract.
22:33Who has mostly played in the G League for his career so far.
22:36Again, I really don't want to cite Keita.
22:38I don't want to make this Keita versus Luke.
22:40Because I think there will probably be match-ups.
22:42Where Keita can fill in better than Luke.
22:44But on an average night, this is still Luke's job.
22:49Yeah, I don't want to do the whole, like you said.
22:52I don't want to do the whole Luke versus Keita thing.
22:54Because I feel like we've done it so many times.
22:56And Luke is obviously the guy that's ahead in the rotation right now.
22:59There was a small stand when he was coming back from injury.
23:01Where I think Keita was kind of ahead of him.
23:03But the main thing I'll say is that Luke is 29 and Keita is 25.
23:07And hasn't really played substantial NBA minutes.
23:09Like this was his first year doing so.
23:11So, I think the thing with him is less about where he is now.
23:14Right now, Luke Cornett knows the system.
23:17He's much more reliable in the different coverages that they've run.
23:20There's a reason why Joe Mizzou has trusted him at critical moments during the year.
23:23The question is, in four years, can Keita be that handsome?
23:28Because he has some of the tools that Luke doesn't have.
23:30I think that's why they're investing in him.
23:32Not to mention the fact that, you know, you want to have multiple guys.
23:36Because next thing you know, Luke goes down with injury.
23:38Mimi goes down with injury.
23:39Whatever.
23:40Hopefully, they're both okay.
23:41But there's things that happen throughout the year.
23:42So, I think it's less about who gets that spot.
23:44And more about having insurance for one another.
23:46For Al, for Porzingis.
23:48So, I think there's a role for both of them to play.
23:51And I think they each have their advantages.
23:54I also do think, I know you get a lot of flack for Luke Cornett, Bobby.
23:57I think that a lot of people, they just don't like how he looks when he plays basketball.
24:01That he looks a little awkward.
24:02He looks a little clunky.
24:03And they're not actually watching what he's doing.
24:05It's all object.
24:06I do, yeah.
24:07I have to put that out there.
24:08Because I feel like you're constantly getting hated on this.
24:10I do think that if people could just watch the impact.
24:13Or if you could replace him with somebody that looks different.
24:16That moves a little differently.
24:17But is doing everything else.
24:18He would get a lot less criticism.
24:20So, just putting that out there.
24:22And if Luke was out here.
24:23I think people would be shocked by how much he would dominate.
24:26With his approach to the game.
24:28Do you think he dominates at Summer League?
24:30Oh, absolutely.
24:31I think at this point with how much he can manipulate the game.
24:34And again, it might not all be stats.
24:35I think that's the other thing here too.
24:37He's not a stats guy.
24:38It's decision making.
24:39It's positioning a lot of the time.
24:41Luke's a guy you have to really watch closely.
24:44You really do.
24:45Because it's not going to all show up on the stat sheet at the end of the game.
24:48But he's not here.
24:50We're talking about the guys that were here.
24:51We also got another update.
24:54Or I guess maybe it's the first update we've gotten.
24:57About Christophe Porzingis since the surgery here.
24:59Because Keita's going to be in this mix of guys.
25:02We didn't even mention Tillman.
25:04Who is the most switchable of all these guys.
25:06It's great that they have the whole cast back here.
25:08Between Horford, Tillman, Cornett, and Keita.
25:11Because I think all of them bring a little bit of a different approach.
25:14To that center position with Porzingis out there.
25:17But here in DJ McClay's terms.
25:19Is how Christophe Porzingis is doing.
25:21How much can you see him being part of the mix that helps fill in for Christophe?
25:26I mean I think first and foremost credit to him.
25:29He wanted to play summer league.
25:30So it's a real credit to him.
25:32I think the big challenge for him this summer has been some of our defensive stuff.
25:36So I don't know if you guys are watching.
25:38But we're changing a lot on the defensive end.
25:40And a lot of that is centered around trying to help him get integrated with what we do at the NBA level.
25:45So that's just kind of where we are right now.
25:48And he's doing a good job.
25:52It was on Keita.
25:53He also said later.
25:56Last time he talked to Christophe.
25:58He's chilling on a beach.
25:59So at least mentally.
26:01At least spiritually.
26:03He's in a good place out there.
26:04Physically we'll see in time.
26:06But as we know Christophe is probably going to miss until Thanksgiving.
26:11Christmas to start this year.
26:12So it's important that Keita shows he can survive.
26:16Because what did they get?
26:17Like 7 or 8 games from him last year.
26:19That he actually had to play a significant role.
26:21Maybe a little bit more than that even.
26:23He had quite a few where he played some major minutes with Christophe.
26:28Luke out.
26:29Multiple bigs down.
26:30Rest nights for Horford.
26:31So that's the thing right now.
26:32Maybe not on an average night you're going to Keita a ton.
26:35Or at all.
26:37But let's say Al's off on one of those back to backs.
26:41And Luke's hurt.
26:43All of a sudden it's Tillman and Keita.
26:45And you're asking for either 30 from Tillman and 15 from Keita.
26:50Or more of a 25-25 kind of split there.
26:53And so that's going to happen.
26:55They're going to play about half the season without Porzingis here.
26:59Other guys are going to get bumped and bruised.
27:02Other guys are going to need rest here.
27:04So when you look at the similarly roster.
27:06Keita by far is the most consequential.
27:10In terms of who's actually going to impact Celtics this year.
27:15Yeah, definitely.
27:17And I do think – I see a question here about Jaden Springer not playing.
27:20We asked him about it after – we asked EJ McFly about it after the game.
27:24And he said that he had a good game.
27:26He's with the team for the next few days.
27:28I asked him if he's hurt.
27:29He said, I don't think so.
27:30So it was kind of a weird answer.
27:31But I think he should be fine.
27:33Maybe he's dealing with a little lingering something.
27:35But he also – I don't think he's one of the guys that they want to see
27:37a whole lot of in summer league.
27:39I think there's other guys that this is more for than him.
27:42He's already been, like, a G League finals MVP.
27:44I don't know.
27:45Maybe he'll come back.
27:46Maybe he's just – maybe he twisted his ankle or something.
27:48But we didn't get, like, real clarity, I thought, from postgame.
27:52What I get on it is I think he's done.
27:56And it's nothing serious.
27:58So, again, no definitive word on what the ailment is, if it's anything.
28:04Maybe it's a small thing that they're just taking him out precautionary for.
28:07DJ also said he's just here for a couple more days.
28:09So I think that adds to, you know, what I'm hearing,
28:12which is I think he's done for the rest of the summer league here.
28:15So I don't think we'll see Springer again.
28:18And that's a little disappointing because he was so awesome in Game 1.
28:22Yeah, he was great.
28:24Yeah, and he's one of the ones – I would say, like, him and Nemi both seem
28:27to me right now the most NBA-ready at this moment to be able to contribute.
28:31And contractually, they're the most secure, right?
28:34Walsh is on that last year of his guaranteed rookie deal.
28:38But Cato is pretty firmly in that center mix.
28:43Springer is here for four million for this year.
28:46So those guys don't really have to prove themselves from a roster perspective.
28:50JD, you know, he's on a two-way deal.
28:53That's not a lock.
28:54They can give that to someone else.
28:56And Ramsey had some real moments again in this one tonight.
28:59You look at guys like that, and you're like, all right,
29:01who's in the mix for a two-way here if they stand out big time
29:04and keep it rolling?
29:06You look at Drew Peterson, who we talked to here today as well.
29:10He's probably got to defend his spot a little bit,
29:12and I think he's doing a good job so far.
29:14Playing inside and out, hitting shots tonight.
29:17That's what he really needs to do because I think that's why they brought him here,
29:20try to tap into some shooting upside there.
29:23You have to think Watson's going to be on one of those two-way deals.
29:27And everyone forgets about him.
29:29But Jay Scrub, right, he's going to recover from that ACL tear
29:37at some point here.
29:38And I know he was recovering around the team a little bit over the course
29:41of the last year, staying in the facility.
29:43But he was signed to a two-way deal at this time last year.
29:47And then he goes into training camp, was showing some signs of being
29:51an off-the-dribble scorer and kind of a microwave guy,
29:56and he tears his ACL.
29:58So he's still recovering right now.
30:00Obviously can't play on this summer league team.
30:02But when we're talking about two-ways right now, obviously J.D.
30:06and Drew are on one.
30:08For my baseball fans, I would love throwing those names together
30:11in that order.
30:13You got Ramsey here who's looking pretty good so far.
30:16A lot of turnovers early in that first half, but he can score for sure.
30:20Maybe Scrub's back in the mix at some point.
30:24And they brought in Harper on the Exhibit 10 right now,
30:29so he's going to be at camp.
30:32Am I forgetting anyone, Noah?
30:34Watson?
30:35So we're talking about maybe five, six guys in two-way range.
30:40No, yeah, you hit the guys.
30:42I do think J.D. Davison, like we might be watching and thinking,
30:46oh, there's Jermias Ramsey, he had a nice drive.
30:48It's him and J.D. in competition here.
30:51I think J.D. is pretty secure as the guy that they've invested in
30:54for the last two years now.
30:57And Brad said he wants him here.
31:00Brad wants him here.
31:01He wants to be here.
31:03The question for me is, is this going to be three straight years
31:06of being on a two-way that spends 95% of the year in Maine?
31:10Because he was on a two-way this year, but he was in Maine all year.
31:13He wasn't coming back and forth playing Boston Minutes.
31:16So the question, most likely that will be the case again
31:19unless somebody goes down, which you hope isn't the case,
31:22but you never know.
31:23We kind of take people's health for granted sometimes.
31:25Pritchard didn't miss one game this year.
31:27That certainly didn't help J.D.'s case of getting any real NBA experience.
31:31But I think he's a guy that they really like,
31:33and he's a guy that's done everything they've asked of him.
31:36He looks a lot better than he looked last summer league.
31:38He did a really good job running that team in Maine,
31:40really led them to the G League championships
31:42and was their best player every single night.
31:45He was the guy that kind of kept everything going,
31:47and he's a floor leader.
31:48He's grown to be more vocal.
31:49I think he's done the things that they've asked of him.
31:51If he can consistently shoot, that was always kind of the knock on him,
31:54that he's not a three-point shooter, and being undersized like that,
31:57you have to be.
31:58So I really hope he makes it.
31:59I hope that if it's not in Boston, it's somewhere,
32:01because he just seems like the kind of player that's done everything
32:04that he needs to do to make it in the league.
32:06But this is his last year on a two-way, right?
32:08He only gets three years of eligibility.
32:09So I think he's ahead of everybody else on the totem pole as far as,
32:13you know, if there's going to be a random guy from summer league here,
32:15I don't think they're going to oust J.D. Davidson,
32:17who they've invested so much into from a developmental standpoint.
32:20But I'm sure he would love to get a guaranteed deal somewhere
32:23where he can get real minutes.
32:24And I don't know if Boston's going to be that spot now or in the future.
32:27So he's a tough one.
32:29It's really tough to kind of know what to do with him
32:30and what's going to happen.
32:32That happens.
32:33Teams usually start guys' development in that range especially,
32:37and then they go on to play or succeed elsewhere.
32:40And sometimes it's that first team that sets the stage,
32:43and then the second team provides the opportunity.
32:45So that seems more than likely in Davidson's case, at least for right now.
32:50But the big factor in him staying here clearly is that he's patient.
32:54And there's no rush to get NBA minutes opportunity.
32:59When we talked to him a couple days ago,
33:01it didn't even sound like he was looking elsewhere.
33:03He just wanted to come back.
33:04So good approach from him so far, taking it play by play, making good decisions.
33:09He gets in that lane and just fires it out to an open shooter.
33:13He's got pretty good vision out there, especially at his size.
33:15But you're looking for some shooting.
33:17You're looking for a defensive leap.
33:20And those are going to be the two things he needs to do to be able to get out
33:23on the NBA floor eventually.
33:24And those four guys in front of him are just, even in Springer's case,
33:27still so far ahead of him in that regard.
33:29But he's so young.
33:30So there's NBA upside there for sure with him, especially athletically.
33:34Sometimes I feel like we don't even see the ceiling for him athletically
33:38out there in terms of how many risks he takes or how hard he attacks the basket.
33:43But there's something there.
33:44He's played well so far, so credit to him.
33:46And that's not a guy they're going to need this year or rely on maybe at all.
33:50But it's good that he's going to bring some connective passing ability
33:55to a main team that, along with Watson up there
33:59and whoever else is going to be in the mix for minutes,
34:02maybe Cade, if they're fully healthy, goes back up there for different stints.
34:06It's good to have all those different pieces from a developmental standpoint
34:09to make it a complete team.
34:11As you now know, that was a pretty complete main team last year
34:14and even the year before that.
34:15You got your point guard.
34:16You got your shooters on the wing.
34:18You got your center.
34:19And that helps everybody involved.
34:21But that point guard component's a big piece to have in that dynamic.
34:25We'll do this real quick.
34:28John loves it.
34:30I don't have a whole lot of interest in this.
34:35What did you think?
34:36First time watching him up close, Ronnie James.
34:44He didn't look great, honestly.
34:46The one thing I'll say is the first couple of possessions he picked of JD
34:49defensively, and he does look like he has the potential
34:54of being a good defender.
34:56I get it.
34:57I heard JJ Redick said today that he views him as a potential Lou Dort.
35:01I don't know if I see a Lou Dort, but I do get the defense.
35:05Jalen Brown was definitely saying that on the bench.
35:08Someone caught him.
35:09I think NBC caught him saying it, turning to who I think is his girlfriend
35:13and saying, you know, Ronnie doesn't look like a pro.
35:15He doesn't right now.
35:17The question is, can he get there?
35:18I mean, I think we're having similar discussions around, like,
35:20Jordan Walsh, you know, not to put them in the same category,
35:23but, like, there's a lot of players on the floor tonight
35:25that didn't look like NBA players.
35:26So, I don't know.
35:28He didn't look great.
35:29I see the comments.
35:30I know I always try to make things sound better, but he didn't look great,
35:33but I also think that there is so much scrutiny on him right now,
35:36and there have been so many players that haven't looked good in Summer League,
35:39and they're just not getting the same scrutiny.
35:41So, that's the only other thing I'll say is that you look at all the top 60
35:45guys that were drafted and you go down the line, like,
35:47there have been other guys that have been underplaying their spot,
35:51you know, their draft pick more than Ronnie has.
35:54So, with that being said, yeah, there was not much to show for it.
35:58I didn't even notice him out there.
36:01And part of it, as I've talked about, is the stature.
36:04He is not tall by NBA standards, and that's what you notice,
36:09especially out here.
36:10And he got up on that transition play early
36:12and was able to deflect it out of bounds.
36:14That was a good play.
36:16But he had to get up there to do that.
36:18And there's not a ton of length there.
36:20There's not a ton of height there.
36:22And if you're going to be a defensive guy, that's a challenge.
36:25And then you add in the offensive limitations.
36:27The shooting's nonexistent.
36:29And that was something he was going to have to rely on in college,
36:32and it didn't go well in year one.
36:35He's young.
36:36He's coming off the heart incident.
36:39And he's stepping into shark-infested water here in terms of, like,
36:45the skill set of everybody around him.
36:49And that's the risk he took in making this leap.
36:52And as JJ said, or I think it was – who was saying he doesn't care,
36:58he doesn't give an F?
37:00Was it JJ?
37:01LeBron said that.
37:02No, LeBron said that.
37:03Oh, it was LeBron.
37:04When I came into the league, I actually cared what you guys all had to say.
37:06But, like, Bronny's different.
37:07He's not like me.
37:08He doesn't care.
37:09Yeah, so that's good.
37:10And this place went crazy when he hit the shot.
37:12I didn't see him react to that either, which is important.
37:15He can't react to the struggles, and he's going to have a ton,
37:18and he can't react to the moments where the crowd's almost going to treat him
37:22like taco, you know, back in the day,
37:25when the crowd would go crazy over anything he would do,
37:28especially in this environment.
37:29This has always been a big Lakers crowd out here at Summer League.
37:31So I'm wishing him the best.
37:33I don't think there's any reason to hate on him.
37:35I don't think there's any reason to wish for his downfall.
37:38Obviously, he got to this level and position in large part because of his dad.
37:44Whether you like that or not,
37:45it's going to decide a lot about how you feel about him.
37:48Certainly, you know, talking to some people around here,
37:50even going back to his high school days,
37:52people do hold that against him competitively,
37:55and that's going to put a little bit of a target on his back for the guys here
37:59who are trying to make it,
38:00who feel like he has a guaranteed roster spot because of his dad
38:04and he doesn't deserve it.
38:06And you have many, many guys here trying to fight for spots like that.
38:10So I don't think that's going to help him a ton in terms of these competitive
38:13environments because, you know, Noah, not every G League team is like me.
38:17Sometimes guys on the same team are going for the same exact spots
38:20and you're just trying to show your case, your talents,
38:22and sometimes it might not be a whole complementary system around you.
38:26And I don't know what South Bay is going to look like this year,
38:29but it is going to be a serious uphill battle for him to actually make the NBA.
38:34And credit to LeBron for putting him in a good starting point here.
38:39But is it actually going to be helpful to start this fast,
38:42this early and have that target on your back?
38:44I don't know.
38:45Again, I'm rooting for him.
38:47I don't have any ill will toward him.
38:49But from the start, I feel like a lot of this was pretty ill conceived in terms
38:53of how it's talked about.
38:54You know, being out here, Noah, they're marketing this thing around him,
38:58this whole summer league, that feels a little contrived.
39:03And before long, he's just going to be living the G League lifestyle
39:07and trying to make it in a whole very competitive environment
39:12where everybody's fighting for that next level.
39:14So we'll see how it goes.
39:16It's going to take a while.
39:17I don't think we'll see him in the NBA in the next year or two,
39:20at the very least.
39:22So we'll see how it goes.
39:24I didn't see much from him here tonight, though.
39:28Yeah, and here's the thing.
39:30Like, the marketing stuff, it's tough.
39:32Because on one hand, obviously,
39:34he's not one of the prospects from this draft class.
39:37There's literally 59 other players that they should be talking about over him.
39:41But he's the guy that everybody knows in a class of draft picks
39:45that nobody really knows.
39:46And so it becomes this, like, self-fulfilling prophecy.
39:48And I cover the WNBA, and it's the same deal with the WNBA.
39:51It's like everybody only knows a couple names at the beginning.
39:54And so then they keep shoving those same names over and over again,
39:56and you're missing out on a lot of great players that are not being discussed.
40:00And I think that's what's happening with this summer league.
40:02I've seen a lot of Reed Shepard over the last few days.
40:04Granted, I haven't watched a lot of TV since I'm here.
40:07But I'm seeing a lot more Brawny discourse,
40:09and a lot of the positive developments.
40:11And guys like Alex Saru haven't had a great summer league either.
40:14But he's the number two pick,
40:15and he's not getting a lot of the ridicule because Brawny's getting it.
40:18So I think, yeah, we all probably talk about him a little bit less.
40:21Again, we have to touch base on it because it is a big part of the story here.
40:24Like, the cheer that he got for hitting that shot,
40:27you would have thought it was a game winner,
40:29and he had two points, and it was the third quarter.
40:31So, yeah, I don't think he has an NBA future right now.
40:34The one thing I will say is that covering Jordan Walsh in Maine last year,
40:38one of the things that the Maine Celtics head coach, Blaine Miller,
40:41said to me a bunch of times is that it's so hard to be Jordan
40:45because everybody knows you're the guaranteed player.
40:48You're the guy that's actually on a roster.
40:50None of us here are.
40:51We're all not even two ways for the most part.
40:53And it's 24-year-olds that have been trying for years to find a roster spot,
40:57and then they see a 19-year-old kid come into the G League
40:59with an $8 million contract.
41:01That was Jordan's position last year.
41:03And it doesn't set you up for success because you have a bullet,
41:06a target on your back,
41:07and everybody's kind of trying to show you that they're better than you.
41:09Ronnie's going to have that times 50.
41:11So, he's going to have a hard time in the G League.
41:13The G League is no joke.
41:14There's so much talent.
41:15Like, we're seeing right now in Summer League
41:16that there's so many good players out there
41:18and guys that have been doing this for years now,
41:20and they're only getting better and better and better.
41:22So, it's going to be tough for him just because people think like, oh, G League,
41:25like, we'll just put up 20.
41:26Like, that's not going to be the case, I don't think.
41:28I think he's going to have a hard time there too
41:29because other players are going to come and see how I'm playing Ronnie James.
41:32Like, there's a lot more attention on my game.
41:34There's a lot more attention on people here, TV maybe.
41:36So, let me go shout out against him.
41:38And obviously, J.D. today outplayed him,
41:41and he's a better player by a lot right now.
41:47Yeah, and that's all I got to say on it.
41:51I don't think there's too much more to say right now.
41:53We'll keep tabs on him.
41:54And it was cool to see him here.
41:56Definitely wanted to get a look at him,
41:57but not too much out of Ronnie James in this one.
42:01Real quick, we both watched USA this morning.
42:04They won.
42:05It was sloppy.
42:06Turnover is a big issue for this team right now.
42:10Holiday, Tatum doing their best to address them.
42:12Tatum had a couple in this game as well.
42:15Holiday had one.
42:17But right now, my overarching thought on at least the Celtics angle in this,
42:21and Derek White did not play today.
42:23We'll see if he plays at all in this setting.
42:27But Tatum starts, passes a ton, only takes one three.
42:34So, it feels like the perimeter game is not going to be part of his arsenal
42:37in this summer showcase in Paris,
42:40which is interesting because he didn't shoot great in the playoffs.
42:44And I know it probably makes more sense for him on this team
42:47to take a more interior approach and passing approach.
42:50And the passing has been great.
42:51Some real dazzling stuff from him with the ball in his hands
42:54in terms of finding teammates and just keeping the flow going.
42:57I think it kind of builds on what we saw from him in the playoffs.
43:01Holiday's fit is pretty seamless here.
43:03He keeps coming into these games and just making things happen
43:06and hitting shots too, in his case, which is important.
43:09So, that's a pretty good decision to have him be a major part of this team.
43:13But turnovers are flying everywhere.
43:15They lost a big lead in this game.
43:17They went from 24-4 from the middle of the third
43:20to the late stages of the fourth.
43:23And Australia is a good team,
43:25but not among the best that they're going to see out there.
43:28I would throw France in there.
43:29Serbia, they're going to play on Wednesday.
43:32It's going to be interesting.
43:33And a couple others in that mix at the top there.
43:38Canada will have their say as well when they get rolling.
43:41So, I don't have a ton of thoughts from this one, but those are mine.
43:45Anything else stand out to you about this one?
43:48No, I think it's hard.
43:50It's hard.
43:51They definitely look a little sloppy out there.
43:53There's so much challenge on this team
43:54that you have to think they're going to figure this out.
43:56There's so many winners on this team.
43:58I think, for me, one of the things that stood out,
44:01and I watched the first three quarters,
44:03I missed a little bit of when things went awry,
44:05but Tatum had such a perfect training ground for being on this Olympic team.
44:11I tweeted this out earlier,
44:12but the Celtics were kind of like there are no players in the league
44:16that had as much talent on their roster as the Celtics.
44:19And so, Tatum, Brown, and Derek White all go into the Olympics
44:22with a national kind of advantage.
44:24They're actually used to playing with so much talent around them,
44:27whereas, like, Seth Curry spent all year with guys that were struggling,
44:30having to really carry the offense.
44:32So, it's like more of an adjustment for someone like him
44:34to now come to the Olympic team and have to switch
44:36and realize that there's so many other people, threats out there for him
44:39that he doesn't need to kind of force the issue or anything like that.
44:42And so, I thought early on, Tatum looked like a connector.
44:45He had three assists before he even attempted a shot.
44:47And it's Jason Tatum that we saw a lot of times during the playoffs
44:50when he had guys to kick it out to.
44:52And, you know, I thought that he looked like a great fit out there.
44:55I see why he's on the Olympic team, obviously.
44:57And then, Drew Holiday, just defensively,
44:59what he's able to do when he has Anthony Davis, bam, anchoring him.
45:03Pretty fun to watch.
45:04And, obviously, he's been on a heater really the year from three.
45:07So, that seems to have continued in the early days here of the Olympic team.
45:10And those two guys are going to be probably two of the most critical,
45:14you know, top eight most critical players on this Olympic team.
45:17And then, who's to say?
45:18I don't know if Derek didn't play because he's still getting his feet wet.
45:21He's still getting into shape and everything.
45:23I'm sure we'll see a little bit of him in the exhibition.
45:25I talked to his dad late last week, and he said that right away
45:28when they offered him the spot, they sent him, like, all the schemes,
45:31all the things that he's going to have to learn,
45:32what exactly his role is going to be.
45:34I'm sure behind the scenes, he's really getting acclimated.
45:37Davis, 17, 14, best player out there.
45:41I'll mention that.
45:42Pretty dominant stuff from him.
45:44Everyone else just trying to find their way.
45:46I thought LeBron even looked a little sloppy today out there on the floor.
45:49So, it was an offensive mess in many ways.
45:51But Tatum, three or four, seven points, a couple dunks, five assists,
45:55two turnovers.
45:56He did his job for sure.
45:59Holiday ends with five and four with a steal.
46:03One turnover, two of five shooting in his case,
46:06splitting a pair of threes.
46:08One for three from three in Holiday's case there.
46:10So, they're looking good.
46:12I'm keeping an eye on that Tatum shot, though.
46:14It's not there right now, and he's mostly playing around the rim,
46:17which I like.
46:18But you do wonder where that is at going into next year
46:21after it was so inconsistent going into the playoffs.
46:25Everyone has their look at what his release and shot looks like right now.
46:30I know people in the chat are talking about that.
46:32I'm not a shot doctor.
46:34I don't have a great feel for what his shot looks like mechanically.
46:38I don't know if you have any thoughts on that, Noah.
46:41I mean, I notice it when I look at old summer league highlights.
46:45Those have been resurfacing.
46:46I'm like, okay, that shot looks completely different.
46:48But as far as what exactly has gone wrong for him as of late,
46:52I still think it's more mental than anything mechanical.
46:55He's working with shooting coaches.
46:57He has the best shooting coaches in the world.
46:58If there's a fundamental problem where he has a dip
47:01or he's shooting from a certain angle or whatever, that will be fixed.
47:04But if he's thinking about it constantly, and obviously he is at this point,
47:08how could you not?
47:09You've been struggling from three for as many months as he has.
47:11Until he can get out of it mentally, it's going to continue to be a struggle.
47:15I do think he's going to get out of it mentally sooner rather than later.
47:18I wouldn't be surprised if he starts next season shooting really well.
47:21I don't know how he's been doing shooting-wise,
47:22because we've seen so few threes for him in the Olympic team.
47:25Maybe he's been shooting really well in practice.
47:27But I always think it's way more mental than mechanical 95% of the time,
47:31especially when you're with the resources that these players have
47:34and all the scrutiny and the film and everything.
47:36If it's a mechanical thing, usually it gets fixed pretty quickly.
47:40Yeah, that's where I'm looking.
47:42Because, again, the mental thing or hot and cold shooting, that works out.
47:47Usually a guy would get hot at some point,
47:49given the stretch we've watched from him.
47:51And you're right, one shot so far.
47:53So you can't take anything from this.
47:56I don't think it's the weightlifting.
47:58I don't think it's anything physically in that sense,
48:03unless there's an injury we don't know about, but I don't think there is.
48:07So I have to look at mechanics, and I don't know enough about that to comment.
48:12We'll get more information on that.
48:14We'll continue to watch what he looks like.
48:16But the shooting's in a weird place for Jason Tatum right now.
48:18There's no doubt.
48:20So they were going to play again on Wednesday,
48:22Serbia up next to the Celtics, Team USA.
48:27Jokic, that's a big opponent.
48:30Big matchup.
48:31Yeah, a quarter of the team is the Celtics.
48:35I want to give a shout-out to our merch right now.
48:38You see I'm wearing the phenomenal hat, and I have been all week,
48:41so I'm doing my part to sell hats.
48:47We got shirts.
48:48We got the full top six on a shirt.
48:52That's a fun one.
48:53And, of course, the hard hats.
48:54Jimmy is enjoying his summer right now.
48:56We're going to be out in Paris.
48:58Maybe he'll bring me a hard hat to wear.
49:00But you can get yours right now over on the CLNS store,
49:04which I believe is CLNS.com slash shop, I want to say, off the top of my head.
49:12That's what the URL is there.
49:14You can correct me if I'm wrong, but you can go over there
49:17and purchase some stuff.
49:18Thanks to everyone who watched tonight.
49:20Thanks to Game Time.
49:22Go over there and get $20 off your first purchase with code CLNS,
49:26like I did today, to go into the Aces game tomorrow.
49:30So looking forward to that.
49:32Celtics are going to practice tomorrow, so we'll hear from them again,
49:34and we'll have all post-game sound on CLNS media as well momentarily here
49:41from Vegas.
49:42Thanks, everybody, for staying up.
49:44Not too late here in Vegas.
49:45I'm feeling pretty good.
49:46My voice is going a little bit.
49:48I feel like it's 2 a.m.
49:50I can't keep up with the water.
49:52I'm going to have to stop walking around in the sun, which is what's killing me.
49:56So we're off.
49:58Celtics win.
50:00Jalen Brown talked tonight.
50:01You can go see that on CLNS media as well.
50:04And, again, read Noah DelZell over on CelticsBlog.com.
50:10And plenty more from both of us here for CLNS media in Las Vegas.
50:15Celtics Hornets is next out here on Wednesday.
50:18I will be here for that.
50:20I think Noah is too.
50:21I think you're slated to be here for the whole run.
50:23I'm here until the end of summer league.
50:24So if you guys want to, don't get sick of summer league coverage,
50:26because I'll still be here sharing stuff.
50:29I'll be here for Wednesday's game.
50:31I'll leave the maps to you in that finale.
50:34And it looks like Jane Springer's done, which is what I've heard here.
50:38So he did not play tonight.
50:40Don't think there's a major injury concern there, if there is one at all.
50:43We didn't get a definitive answer from that from DJ McClay.
50:46So sounds like he's done for the stretch run here.
50:50We'll continue to watch Jordan Walsh and all the rest.
50:52And if there's any update tomorrow, we'll have that as well.
50:55But that's it.
50:56Celtics win.
50:57CLNS media.
50:58Celtics All Access.
50:59This has been the Garden Report.
51:00For Noah DelZell, I'm Bobby Manning.
51:01Good night.
