00:00We've been talking about the heat here toward Phoenix, around Las Vegas, and into California, into Utah, and wow, look at the laundry list of days we've had in the 110s in Las Vegas.
00:11Mark them 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and today I believe we were into the mid-110s, so several days stretch here of at least high, if not exceeding, record high temperatures.
00:24Still at this hour in Las Vegas, we're at 113, 100 degrees into Denver, earlier on a little bit higher than that.
00:30Grand Junction, wow, look at that, 104 degrees.
00:34So a lot of intense heat going on, but the pattern continues to shift off to the east, the core of the heat.
00:42Therefore, it's going to be now located along Interstate 15, Interstate 25, into Colorado, also into Wyoming, and then back into Utah.
00:53So, again, areas such as Denver, and Cheyenne, and Casper, and areas south toward Colorado Springs and Pueblo, you'll experience more record heat in the coming days.
01:03It's going to be a stifling weekend here into Denver, 104 degrees Sunday afternoon.
01:08Also, back-to-back triple-digit days in Salt Lake City, into the northwest.
01:13In the meantime, Portland, still a hot day on Saturday, not as hot as it has been.
01:17We'll continue to trend downward here into Sunday, blistering hot temperatures, though, around Helena, Boise, and also into Casper.
01:25So, with numbers this high, you're indeed likely to challenge, if not exceed, some record high temperatures, as we will do over several states, both Saturday and Sunday.
01:36Nebraska, Idaho, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming.
01:40Look at the number there in Scottsbluff on Saturday, and then check it out here on Sunday.
01:44We go even higher, up to 107 degrees, and that would beat out a record set back in 1931.
01:50But look at Denver there, 104.
01:53That would break the daily record set all the way back in the 1800s.
01:58In the case of Denver, we're also going to be very close to our all-time record high temperature of 105 degrees that was achieved back on June 26th of 2012.
02:09So, incredibly hot weekend coming up.
02:12There will be a little bit of relief as we work our way into Monday.
