00:00Will, with a massive window ahead and they're coming off the back of a season involving
00:09points deductions etc, what's the latest on the PSR and the profit and sustainability
00:17rules of course that you can tell us and Everton fans might need to understand going into this
00:23new campaign?
00:25Well as we speak it's July the 1st so the new financial year begins and you would like
00:32to think that Everton are sitting fairly, I don't want to say comfortably but quite
00:38confident because they haven't sold any of the main assets that maybe we expect as one
00:43to go before June the 30th.
00:45Obviously Kevin Fellowell came out and said, so I was in the last season, the Director
00:48of Football that sales will need to happen but if they need to happen before June 30th
00:56maybe they might have lowered their asking price on Jarrod Bramfleet to Man Utd or Dominic
01:00Calvert-Lewin to Newcastle, Amadou Oumarne is obviously still at the club at the Euros
01:06but Everton have been steadfast with their approach for Bramfleet saying you offer us
01:11silly money or he's going nowhere, obviously Man Utd haven't been able to get that one
01:16over the line deal for Calvert-Lewin and Newcastle broke down and yeah Oman is obviously
01:20an interest on one but he's competing at the Euros so that's probably parked, maybe Everton
01:25knew that would be parked before all this happened but yeah the sales of Lewis Toppen
01:31is for what, close to £10m to Aston Villa, that's pure profits on the books at Everton
01:36so that's good and obviously Ben Godfrey being sold to Atalanta which looks like a good deal
01:41for all parties to be quite frank as I couldn't really see him, getting a look in under Sean
01:48Dyche, he wasn't favoured as a centre back and he's not really an outright back, best
01:54of luck to him at Atalanta so yeah I think Everton may be looking at him thinking, looking
01:59okay, certainly with the players they've been linked with as well it looks like there might
02:03be a little bit of money to spend.
02:06Yeah obviously you mentioned the players they've been linked in, they've made a couple of deals
02:10already, I mean yeah as you say is this sort of a change in targets for Everton as they
02:17approach this season, you know we've spoke before that minus the points deductions last
02:21season a 12th place finish and that's something that I'm sure after the last few seasons of
02:25turmoil that most if not all of Everton fans would take.
02:30Yeah absolutely I think, it'd be interesting to see what the briefing is for Dyche now,
02:35whether it's avoid relegation again or maintain where we are or try and kick on into the top
02:42ten.
02:43There's confidence around Everton fans that the deals that are being done look positive,
02:49you know this isn't scrambling around trying to get whatever they can really, it looks
02:54like Everton are going for players they think can make a difference.
