A look at the latest.

00:00So, starting with Everton, obviously new news in the takeover situation, the 7-7-7 partners
00:09deal has come to an end now. What's the latest you can tell us in terms of Everton fans that
00:16might be tuning in and hoping that there's some good news on the takeover?
00:20Yeah, I don't think it was a big surprise when 7-7-7 failed to meet the extended deadline
00:26that Fahad Moshiri had set. Look, when a takeover takes eight months to be ratified, you know,
00:34something's gone wrong and what come out of 7-7-7 with the clubs that they already own,
00:39you know, like Standard of the Age and Basco de Gama, it wasn't a massive shock. And now,
00:44you know, it seems like there's suitors aplenty. It seems like there's a little bit of a scramble
00:50to get hold of Everton, which given the financial situation of the club, maybe some fans might have
00:57been fearing there wouldn't have been a lot of interest. But, you know, it's a big Premier League
01:01club, massive history and a new stadium being built. It's still a really attractive asset that
01:08a lot of people want to own. I mean, just going through the parties, you've got local businessmen,
01:14Andy Bell and George Darman, who were, you know, backed by Michael Dell, who's, you know,
01:20in with the Dell Technology Group. And you've got MSP Sports Capital, who were back in the scene.
01:27They obviously had a 20, they were going to buy 25% off Fahad Moshiri around a year ago, but that
01:33deal fell through. And then you've got other people like, well, John Texter was another one that
01:41owns 45% of Crystal Palace. Well, he's had to, you know, to get that deal come through,
01:46he's had to put Palace on the market. And is that ultimately going to happen in time,
01:51by the time Everton want to sell? Probably not. So I think that was always a little bit fanciful,
01:55as is Dan Friedkin, who owns AS Roma. I mean, when I first seen this one,
02:02how's he going to own AS Roma? And Everton together, if he's got ambitions for both clubs,
02:07because of UEFA's multi-club rules, we know that there might be problems when it comes to
02:12both clubs playing in the same competition. You know, Manchester City and Girona this season is
02:18a prime example of what's going to happen there. Man Utd is with Ineos and Nice. There's another
02:25one with a London businessman who's meant to be backed by a Southern Royal and the Meyer family
02:31in Australia. So, look, there are plenty of parties involved. And I think Vardy will be
02:37assessing his options and he's ultimately got to decide who will be the best for Everton. You know,
02:41there might be a couple more offers there that haven't come to light yet that might be keeping
02:47the cards close to the chest. But yeah, I mean, it's a good position for Everton to be in for all
02:53the difficulties that they have had. But Vardy has made a lot of mistakes as Everton owner.
02:58This one he's got to get right, because he didn't get the one with 777 right. That's what's
03:03happened. It's protracted what should have, you know, a transaction that should have happened
03:09months ago.
