A look at the latest on DCL.

00:00Looking at Everton and the latest injury updates now, David Moyes coming back in and looking
00:07at that striker situation, it's been clear that goals need to continue to come in this
00:12side and Dominic Cavett-Lewin off in the last game. What's the latest you can tell us on
00:17that because it's not an amazing situation for Everton? They've obviously made that slight
00:22gap from the relegation zone now but a striker would be so important to come in and continue
00:29scoring goals for them. Yeah, I mean, Cavett-Lewin, the way he came off for Brighton, it didn't
00:35look good in the 13th minute and didn't even attempt to try and carry on. I think he knew
00:41he was done and I think as soon as he went down, David Moyes said to Beto to go and get
00:47ready and after it, David Moyes, he wasn't optimistic so you're probably looking at what
00:56may be a grade two tear at a minimum. Hopefully, he might be able to avoid injury but it leaves
01:00Everton with one fifth striker at the minute in Beto and he's had a mixed time to say the
01:07least since he arrived at Everton. Armando Brogier, there haven't been discussions with
01:12Chelsea about ending his loan but at the end of the day, it's Chelsea's prerogative. They
01:18might be saying we want his full wages to be covered to Everton, bite the bullet but
01:23then that comes off maybe the budget in terms of PSR, etc. Yousef Chimissi, the young striker
01:31who suffered an injury in pre-season, he came back for a bit and now he's out for a fire
01:36shoot. Is he ready to lead your line? It means the priorities have shifted. I think Everton
01:42might have been able to get away without having a striker in this window if Calvert-Lewins
01:46had stayed fit. Wingers, attacking the field has maybe been the priority but depending
01:55on how long Calvert-Lewins is out for and I think it will be a prolonged period, a number
02:00nine is a necessity but that marker for a number nine is so difficult now, so volatile
02:07isn't it? We know that West Ham want one, we know that Tottenham want one. I think Forests
02:15look like they might be after one, don't they? Arsenal, are they going to make a move
02:20for one? Bournemouth with Eden Nielsen out. There's not a lot of number nines out there
02:26anymore because teams play with only one striker. It's not like there's a wash with centre-forwards
02:31anymore and if you're a striker, do you want to go to Everton? Now there's probably more
02:37appeal going to Everton under David Moyes than there was Sean Dyche. It's a thankless task
02:43leading the line for Everton under Sean Dyche but Moyes has got a bit more of an emphasis
02:48for strikers playing between the posts but it's got to be right for the player. Will
02:56they want to make the move to Everton where they might be in the relegation battle or
03:00do they go somewhere else? It's certainly put a spanner into Everton's recruitment because
03:06they were probably looking at Wingers attacking the field as maybe a left-back if there was
03:11any more room on the board. I think the priority now is getting a striker in.
