00:00And just looking at David Moyes's appointment,
00:03obviously coming back, we mentioned,
00:05it's sort of a 2.0 of David Moyes.
00:07He's got a big job on his hands,
00:09and he was obviously really certain of signing
00:11that longer extended contract
00:13to make sure it's not just a survival job.
00:16It's something that they want to build on in the future,
00:18and he wants to have another sort of great crack
00:21at going with Everton's managerial role.
00:24What's the sort of biggest changes that he's had so far?
00:27I mean, the obvious ones being
00:29the sort of morale inside the camp
00:31and inside of Goodison,
00:32they seem a bit more confident to have him back
00:36and a bit more stability maybe than under Sean Dyche.
00:39But in terms of just all round,
00:42what's the biggest changes he's made so far?
00:44And can you see these changes sticking
00:46and actually having a good impact on Everton?
00:49I think in the two games he's been in charge,
00:50certainly he's wanted to play a little bit more football.
00:56Sean Dyche, we know his style,
00:57it's a game of percentages.
01:02Since Aston Villa, the one-nil defeat,
01:05there weren't much in it, to be fair.
01:06They were punished by a good counter-attack,
01:09but when you looked at all the stats of the game,
01:11the game was quite close.
01:14Everton showed a few improvements on that.
01:16They started trying to play around
01:18from the back a little bit more,
01:19and that's what happened against Tottenham.
01:23He looked more comfortable knocking it around,
01:26playing it about,
01:29and the players looked like they enjoyed it as well.
01:34He looks like he's rejuvenated as a player
01:36like Jesper Lindstrom,
01:38who has a really good game against Tottenham.
01:40On the right flank, he struggles under Sean Dyche.
01:44He didn't look like Sean Dyche's player whatsoever,
01:46but maybe he's someone who can benefit.
01:49Dominic Calvert-Lewins getting more chances now,
01:52that was the trouble.
01:53For as long as his barren streak went on,
01:57he wouldn't get a lot of goalscoring chances.
01:58It was a bit of a flankless task for him,
02:00running the channels up top, isolated.
02:04An interesting move that he made against Tottenham
02:06was Hans and Jake O'Brien, his full Premier League debut.
02:10He came in from Lyon in the summer
02:11for a fee of 16 million.
02:14He had limited chances.
02:16He is a centre-back by trade,
02:17and I think he maybe understands
02:20that Everton's centre-back pair,
02:21James Tarkowski and Jarrod Bramfwaite,
02:23are pretty much certain he's the stars,
02:27but he would have hoped for more chances.
02:29But it was interesting,
02:30it was his boys as a right-back,
02:33something that Moyes did in his first spell.
02:34I mean, remember Jolion Lescott playing there
02:37when Moyes' first spell,
02:39and it just gave Everton a little bit more solidity
02:44and allowed Jesper Lindstrom
02:46not to think about his defensive duties
02:49as much, but he had to get back up.
02:51He was given a little bit more freedom,
02:54and Vitaly Mikhalenko against Aston Villa
02:58was a little bit more attacking,
03:01and he looks like he maybe has benefitted as well.
03:04He struggled, certainly, under Dyche this season.
03:09Plenty to build from,
03:10but it's all about results now, Everton need to get results
03:13and just get out of that relegation bath.
