00:00It seems like a lot of clubs, especially in the top flight, are going to be dealing with
00:19huge deals and incomings, outgoings in the summer. It's a summer where there's going
00:26to be a lot of reshuffling, the new owners, new management. What's the latest you can
00:31tell us in terms of the contract talks and what you see going on at Everton? I feel like
00:36it's probably a period this summer where we're going to be catching up a lot with
00:39new news almost breaking most weeks, is the way it's looking.
00:45Yeah, definitely. It's an interesting summer because 11 players are out of contract in
00:52the current squad, that's including loanees. It's a chance to reset for Everton, I think.
00:58I asked Steven Wojdan in his first press conference and he agreed that it's a chance for a clean
01:07slate really, because the PSR situation is looking a lot healthier. Everton have got
01:14decisions to make on the players. He came out and said the contract talks are on hold
01:22until the safety is secured. I would like to think Everton have already secured the
01:27safety but I get where he's coming from. Maybe it buys Everton a little bit of time to really
01:35come down to decisions rather than players knocking on David Moyes' door and saying what's
01:40happening. But there are some decisions to make. You look through the squad, Dominic
01:45Alba-Lewin has been a deal on the table, he hasn't signed it, he's out of injuries with
01:50a serious hamstring injury now. Will Everton want to offer him the same terms that potentially
01:55they were going to give him? Adrissa Garnaghey has been unbelievable in the last few weeks.
02:00He covers so much ground, wins so many challenges and just keeps things simple with the ball.
02:11He's 35. How long does he potentially get? Does his wages warrant his age? Does he maybe
02:24go somewhere else and think I want one more payday, potentially Salsey? I don't know.
02:28Abdelazer Koura is another interesting one. He's had a new lease of life since David Moyes
02:35arrived. I think Everton have got a club option on that one so they'll have to decide
02:40on that. But again, do they look at the wages and think is it worth it? And then the low
02:44knees, you look at someone like Jesper Lindstrom who started under David Moyes recently. But
02:53to Everton look at that one and think can we go and get better than Jesper Lindstrom
02:57rather than buying him on a permanent deal? Jack Harrison started to look better after
03:02a real dip in confidence. But again, to Everton weigh that off and think maybe we can do a
03:07little bit better. Armando Broccia has struggled with injuries since he arrived. The goalkeeper
03:14situation in Chester one because Giovas Júnior and Asmir Begovic are both out. So do Everton
03:21need to go and sign a back-up keeper in the summer? What do they do there? I think most
03:25likely that Michael Keane is likely to move on. He's fourth choice now and he'll probably
03:31want to go and play regular football and Ashley Young turns 40 in July. So what do
03:36they do there, Everton? Are they keeping him around the squad for experience? Will he want
03:39to stay? Look, there's all these decisions to make. It'll be really interesting what
03:43David Moyes does. But I see it as a positive situation definitely for Everton because they
03:51are getting to the point now where they can dictate what their future holds rather than
03:58being hamstrung because of the financial situation.
