00:00Hello, there is a risk of thunderstorms for some of us as we head into the afternoon but
00:04for most of us it's going to be a pretty dry rest of the day. But those thunderstorms will
00:09start to break out, heavy showers as well, the northern and western areas of England
00:14extending down towards the Humber as well. That's where there's a warning in force through
00:18the rest of the day. We could see a risk of hail as well as some travel disruption here
00:21but for most of us it's a different story. A mix of sunny spells, a bit cloudier this
00:26afternoon than the start of the day and as a result it will feel a little bit cooler
00:31than yesterday. Temperatures just around average across southern areas into the high teens,
00:35possibly the lower 20s across the far southeast where we do see the best of any sunshine and
00:40it is a little bit cooler, a little below average across the far north where we've still
00:44got this northerly wind that's been pesking these areas for the past few days. Through
00:50this evening those thunderstorms will likely continue so further travel disruption through
00:53this evening here but elsewhere turning dry and clear and for most of us it's going to
00:58be a pretty clear and dry night and temperatures will fall away quite quickly as well overnight
01:04even though the days are very long at this time of year, particularly for parts of Northern
01:08Ireland and parts of Scotland, Northern England as well. Rurally we could be down into the
01:11lower single figures but for many towns and cities are into double digits to start the
01:16day and some brightness as well to start Wednesday and Wednesday's looking like a generally much
01:20drier and brighter day than today with the sunshine lasting all that much longer through
01:26the day and for most of us it should stay dry through the day. There's a risk of the
01:29odd shower here and there, perhaps across the southwest but as I said most of us should
01:34stay dry. Notice though we've got this weather front moving in from the northwest and that
01:38will bring some cloudier skies, possibly some drizzly rain to the likes of the Western Isles,
01:43Highlands, perhaps parts of Northern Ireland as well into Wednesday evening. So a little
01:47cooler here but temperatures elsewhere higher tomorrow than today. We could see highs of
01:52around 22-23 degrees across the southeast, widely at or just above average for this point
01:58in June. Now that weather front across the northwest will continue its progress into
02:03parts of Scotland, into eastern Scotland through the rest of Wednesday evening but for most
02:08of us it's going to be another dry and clear end to the day. But that weather front will
02:12continue to persist to move into northwestern areas. It won't make much progress though
02:16as high pressure is still dominating towards the south and temperatures will start to climb
