00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning which is
00:05sunny for most. It's been very muggy overnight across England and Wales but
00:10as you can see high pressure firmly in charge. However towards the south the
00:14air is becoming a little bit more unstable and in fact through the
00:17afternoon a thunderstorm warning kicks in across southern counties associated
00:22with some thunderstorms which currently are across the near continent but they
00:26could develop in situ across these parts elsewhere it's a fine day. A few
00:30fleeting showers this morning across Orkney one or two even for Shetland
00:35elsewhere it's a fine morning for Scotland albeit rather cool first thing.
00:39Now through the morning the cloud will mix up with some sunshine across Northern
00:43Ireland and Northern England so some brighter skies emerging and it's a
00:47muggy start to the day across the bulk of England and Wales and also mostly dry
00:52but notice these showers just lurking along the channel so we'll see the cloud
00:56build through the morning into the afternoon across these parts and one or
01:00two sporadic but heavy bursts of thundery rain are possible through the
01:05latter part of the day. Elsewhere through this morning well it's fine and it's dry
01:10lots of sunshine to be had and even these showers across the far north
01:14they're tending to fade away but notice by around lunchtime we could see some
01:19thunderstorms developing across the southeast even further west and this
01:23warning continues through the afternoon and into evening time. Strong sunshine
01:28through the afternoon allowing temperatures to rise very quickly across
01:32England and Wales it's another hot day also humid temperatures across Wales 26
01:37to 28 30 to 32 across the far south of England but a pleasantly warm 20 or 21
01:43across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Now if you are heading out on Wednesday
01:48evening it's another fine one across Scotland as well as Northern Ireland and
01:52much of England and Wales but notice towards the south yet again one or two
01:57sporadic bursts of showery rain are lurking out there again with the risk of
02:02thunder and lightning and in fact through Wednesday evening this evening
02:07and overnight the cloud will build further the air will become primed and
02:11we are likely to see some heavy showery rain move across England and Wales. You
02:16can see it developing through this evening and then pushing ever northwards
02:20another batch for Wales up towards Northern England again the risk of
02:24thunder here thunder and lightning for the Midlands central southern England
02:27East Anglia eastern counties and some heavy downpours likely into the early
02:32hours of Thursday morning. Now for Scotland we could see a few showers
02:35across Western Scotland into Thursday but a bright start to the day further
02:39north and east and further south across much of England and Wales it's a fine
02:44day away from eastern counties where these thunderstorms could rumble on into
02:48the afternoon. Northern Ireland having a fine day as well some sunshine coming
02:52through here and temperatures upper degree here 22-23 degrees Celsius but
02:56hanging on to that heat further south and east and pretty much that's how we
02:59see Friday although some showery bursts coming in from the west and it's
03:03turning a bit fresher here into the weekend. See you later.
