00:00 Take a look at some of these price points, Brian, in this series now.
00:05 And you're right about this.
00:06 Like, you don't get three wins for a blowout victory in game number one.
00:09 It still only counts as one win.
00:10 You go into game number two, and Dallas can even that up before going back to Dallas.
00:14 But the Boston Celtics, a minus two and a half spread number now at a plus 122 price.
00:19 So expecting a much more quicker series here, apparently.
00:22 And Boston, which came in yesterday around that minus 220 marker, now sits at a minus
00:26 420 marker the rest of the way.
00:28 So if we're looking at some of those odds and statistics there, moving forward, does
00:32 it entice you a little bit more to take Dallas?
00:34 Or is it just like that public opinion of, wow, I can't take Dallas now based on what
00:37 I just saw in game number one.
00:39 We're probably going to get that same expectation throughout the rest of the series.
00:43 Yeah, for me personally, I don't feel the need to do anything because I have a Mavericks
00:48 23 to 1 future.
00:51 And Boston just won game one.
00:52 So if I wanted to hedge, I'm probably like, why would I do that now?
00:56 Like just wait after they potentially lose game two.
01:00 The line might not even adjust that much.
01:02 It would probably have to be after game four if it's 2-2 like I want.
01:06 That's probably if I want to get back in on Boston, that's probably the spot I want.
01:10 But then I'd look at it and be like, hey, now it's a best of three.
01:14 Do I want to take Boston to win two of these?
01:17 I don't know.
01:18 Because, again, out of respect for Dallas and what they've accomplished.
01:23 So to me, I think if I weren't in the 23 to 1 club, so to speak, with my Mavs future,
01:31 then yeah, I'd probably look at this and be like, oh, that plus 2 and 1/2 is interesting
01:35 because I think now there could be an overreaction to the game one that we just saw.
01:40 And also there is a world where Boston actually, they did win game two last series.
01:45 It was against the Pacers and Andrew Nembharden, basically.
01:48 But they won game two last series.
01:51 There's a world where it's like, all right, maybe Boston could actually end this in five.
01:55 I don't think any of us think that they're going to suddenly sweep Dallas because we
01:59 probably have more respect for them and for Luka Doncic in particular.
02:02 But a lot of people were looking at Celtics in five, Celtics in six.
02:07 And I think those people are in a pretty good position.
02:09 If you're like me and you're like, hey, Dallas could win this series if they push this to
02:13 a seventh game because, I mean, Luka Doncic on the road in a game seven is terrifying,
02:19 especially in Boston where we've seen them drop a home game seven recently.
02:23 Yeah, I think everyone should sort of stay pat because it was just game one.
02:29 Yeah, I still think the best bets right now with where the series odds have shifted following
02:35 Boston's dominance in game one is looking at Dallas covering 2 and 1/2 games.
02:40 That means if it gets to six, the Mavericks have already cashed that ticket or just the
02:44 over under of total games.
02:46 Now standing at 5 and 1/2, it was 5 and 1/2, but the over had more juice.
02:50 Now it's just minus 130.
02:52 Fonseca, let's look at the NBA Finals MVP odds.
02:55 You mentioned that if you had a large ticket on Kristaps Porzingis before the opening night,
03:00 you're feeling good right now.
03:01 KP, fourth shortest number at 7 to 1.
03:05 It's pretty clear from the oddsmakers that if Dallas wins the NBA championship, Luka
03:09 Doncic is going to win the NBA Finals MVP.
03:12 The Mavericks priced to win the series outright plus 330.
03:16 Because individual number plus 350.
03:18 So we'll save that conversation about Doncic for another time.
03:22 If the Boston Celtics end up winning championship number 18 in organization history, who would
03:28 get your bet to win NBA Finals MVP?
03:32 I still think the odds on Tatum are too short.
03:36 I feel like Jalen Brown is kind of the best value here because I don't know what Kristaps
03:40 Porzingis, is he going to be in this six-man role going forward?
03:45 If so, I don't think we could reasonably expect him to do what he did last night in every
03:48 single game.
03:49 He kind of would need to.
03:50 Even though I think he's a walking matchup problem for the Mavs and they're going to
03:54 have to really figure something out.
03:56 But at some point you think he's going to miss shots.
03:59 And a lot of this is predicated on making loud plays on both ends of the floor, which
04:04 he did, which Jalen Brown also did.
04:05 And I thought Jalen Brown was great last night.
04:07 And I think he's probably the value play here.
04:10 I don't know if he's going to go Eastern Conference Finals MVP and then, you know, Finals MVP.
04:16 But I do think that at plus 280, it was plus 300 last night on the market.
04:22 I think Jalen Brown is a nice value play here.
04:25 It's most likely, like it would more than likely be Tatum than anyone else.
04:29 But given the start that Jalen Brown's had and how sustainable I think that could be,
04:34 he's probably where I look if I'd want some value.
04:36 You're getting almost three to one odds there.
04:39 Jalen Brown, Boston's leading scorer last night, finishing with 22, albeit still under
04:44 his points prop of 23 and a half.
