00:00Let's keep it moving. 410 out on the West Coast today. It's Seattle and it's the athletics. It's
00:05Sears versus Woo. 969, 970 on the rotation. This line opened up at seven and a half, Tom.
00:11Still sitting at seven and a half. A favorite heavily for the Mariners at a minus 174 price
00:16has dropped slightly to around minus 170. The pitching advantage to me is for Seattle,
00:21but you take a look at these series so far. Look at the A's with a couple wins under their belt.
00:26Yeah, a couple wins for the A's under their belt. I like it. I'm interested in the A's today,
00:32and we'll get to that. And, you know, J.P. Sears on the mound for them. Good sample size last year
00:37was the most, he had 180.2 innings, the most he had in the major since been in since 2022.
00:42Does not strike out a lot of hitters, only 18.1%, 6.5% walk rate. The fly balls, not great,
00:4947.1%, but the heart contact rate is down at 32.5%. And considering the struggles that the
00:56Mariners have on offense, which is not new this year, which is something that we've talked about
00:59for years. It's like, oh, where's the offense for the Mariners going to come from? Because
01:02they have this awesome pitching staff, but they have very, very mediocre offense.
01:06I'm interested that the A's keep things rolling today, which we'll get into. So
01:10I think we can, I can convince myself about J.P. Sears putting out a good performance. I think this
01:15game screams under, and I may scream the dog on this one with the athletics. So no props for this
01:20one for me. I actually too, I don't have any props listed, but I found it interesting. Like enter the
01:25woo there with Brian Wu, 472 batters he faced last year, an ISO of 126 against and a 253 weighted on
01:33base percentage, equal opportunity to Tom. It's like, oh, you know what? I was okay against one
01:37side and dominant against the other. It's dominant on both sides. Walk percentage, 2.8% strikeout
01:42percentage to both sides over 20%. He's been really good. And again, playing in an environment
01:47that's not really conducive to hitting that sort of favors the pitchers. And it always does in
01:51Seattle. What do we, we never worry about, Hey, Seattle's pitching or come around like, no, it's
01:55the hitting. Will they actually come around 60 degree temperatures in the great Northwest,
01:5910 mile an hour winds blowing in from right field. So we'll see how that one plays out,
02:03out here, taking a look at the final game of the day. 7, 10 start tonight, Sunday night,
02:07baseball, 9 59, 9 60 on the rotation. It's Atlanta and it's San Diego Smith
02:12Chauver on the mound for the Braves going up against Pavetta. This line opened up at
02:15minus one 36 overnight. The windless Braves are underdogs once again, but that price point down
02:20the minus one 25 in a total that opened up at eight, still sitting at eight at most outlets
02:24here to the Braves, get off the Schneider for Schneider and get a W. I think so. And, you know,
02:32Smith Chauver last year only had 4.1 innings pitched, right? Yeah. Delta injuries. We have
02:36to remember that, but he's got some gas and he, you know, granted these are minor league numbers
02:41last year, but, and he rose through the ranks pretty quickly. I would say with Strider getting
02:44hurt last year, they needed to bring up pictures, but in an high a or a plus where he wrote off
02:49a 57.1% strikeout rate is hilarious. Dropped to 28% in triplet. You know, we saw this number
02:56at 22.2% last year in the majors. Again, it was only 4.1 innings. The walks are an issue with him.
03:00I'm interested in the Braves today. I think the pitching will be there. Nick Pavetta on the other
03:04side, obviously they signed him in the off season. He's got some strikeout stuff. He does give up
03:08homers, but the strikeout stuff can be there. And with the Braves struggling to start the season,
03:13I think this game looks under, I am going to be on the Braves money line, but I think under is
03:16the play. If you want to take some shots on some players for RBIs or home runs, which we will get
03:20into as we close out the show, which I do have one for this game. You can take a shot, but don't
03:24expect a six to five game. I would expect like a four to two, five to three type of game.
