Scattered rains to persist in various parts of northern Luzon

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Tuesday, June 4 said the frontal system is expected to bring scattered rain showers to some parts of northern Luzon over the next 24 hours.  Cloudy skies, scattered rain showers, and thunderstorms may prevail over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Abra, and Ilocos Norte due to the frontal system, a weather system formed by the convergence of warm and cold air. 00:00 So based on our latest satellite image, we can see clouds or lines of clouds

00:06 that are currently affecting some parts of the northern Luzon.

00:10 That is the frontal system where cold and hot air will flow.

00:14 And if we can see here in the satellite image,

00:16 mostly areas of the northern Luzon will experience rainy season.

00:20 So we expect that there will be scattered showers, thunders and lightning.

00:24 Meanwhile, in the southern part of our country,

00:27 although we can see clouds suddenly appearing,

00:31 most likely it will not last long and its possible duration is up to 30 minutes to 2 hours.

00:37 So these clouds are mostly localized thunderstorms.

00:41 So we still expect that when those clouds appear,

00:44 the hot and rainy season will be repeated in the northern part of our country,

00:49 especially when the afternoon comes.

00:52 So now, we are not being watched by low pressure areas or thunderstorms inside and outside of our Philippine Area of Responsibility.

00:59 So this week, we expect that it will rain in a large part of our country.

01:03 According to the possible southwest monsoon or a strong wind later this week.

01:09 And it is also possible that the frontal system will be affected in a part of the northern Luzon.

01:14 The axis of the frontal system will gradually go down and it is also possible that it will be affected in the eastern part of the southern Luzon,

01:20 particularly in the Iquezon and some parts of the Bicol Region.

01:24 Meanwhile, because we expect that the effect of the monsoon will be strong in the next days,

01:32 the rains will be more frequent, especially here in the northern part of our country.

02:08 Meanwhile, in the western part of our country, it is still hot and the weather is bad,

02:16 So we are still expecting the possibility of localized thunderstorms when it comes to the afternoon or night.

02:22 Our temperature forecast here in the area will be between 27 to 33 degrees Celsius,

02:28 18 to 25 for Baguio City, Metro Manila, and Legazpi City.

02:32 Maximum temperatures are possible to reach 34 degrees Celsius today.

02:36 The maximum temperature for Tagaytay will be between 23 to 32 degrees Celsius,

02:42 and for Stugiro, it will be between 26 to 36 degrees Celsius.

02:47 The weather will be bad in the northern part of our country

02:52 because we are not expecting heavy rains or heavy rains in the northern areas of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
