00:00 We are here with Ink. You were just telling me you are wearing your own line.
00:03 How cool is that?
00:04 It's amazing. The pants is Inkadelic, you know, so we rockin'.
00:07 And I'm excited. I'm excited. We gotta bring that fashion wherever we at, you know?
00:11 Yes, and fashion and music combined, we love it.
00:14 So, you not only wrote on Cowboy Carter, but also on Renaissance.
00:18 What are the biggest differences in the process for those two albums?
00:21 You know what? I think one is more just organic.
00:25 It just comes together. It's all about the song.
00:27 And I think the other one is more creativity.
00:30 More like creativity and combining elements that you won't usually hear together.
00:34 So I think that's the biggest part of it and the differences that kind of come into play.
00:39 With Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé has broken so many records, including on our Hot Country Songs chart.
00:43 What does it mean for you to be involved in something that's sort of changing
00:48 the way that we're celebrating country music right now?
00:50 You know what? I love it. I love it. I love it.
00:52 I think everything is about diversity and it's about the different genres coming together.
00:57 It's about bringing the world together because we all from different places.
01:00 We all have different stories, but the one thing that can bring us together is music.
01:03 And I think it's about the song.
01:05 So bringing people together is what I live for.
01:07 You know what I'm saying? I used to be on the streets playing guitar up and down the streets,
01:10 wondering when would I get my shot.
01:12 But I always knew that if I stayed patient and stayed the course and wrote good, great songs
01:17 that people can relate to, I think that's what it's about.
01:20 So I've always had people from different walks of life that encouraged me and that became my fans.
01:24 So it translates that to when I'm writing music. You know what I'm saying?
01:27 Absolutely.
01:27 I think that's what it's all about. It's about the whole world coming together.
01:31 Who is the next person that you would want to enter your world?
01:34 That you would want to work with or write with?
01:36 Well, I've been meeting some of the most amazing superstars and musicians and influencers.
01:42 At this point, I don't know who else is going to come, but I'm definitely waiting on Rihanna
01:47 because that's my girl.
01:49 She hasn't put out the album in a while. I think it's been years.
01:53 So I think we all anticipate that.
01:55 I've got a lot of surprises that I'm working on that I can't talk about.
01:58 So they'll be big, but the one that I haven't got yet is definitely Miss RiRi.
02:03 Maybe a RiRi country album. Who knows?
02:04 Shout out Shania Twain. I love you, girl. I don't know if you're watching this,
02:07 but you're on my list too, girl. I'm ready for you.
02:10 She watches all of our interviews.
02:11 Oh, yeah. Let's go.
02:14 Thank you so much. Have fun tonight.
02:16 Yeah, thank you so much.
