00:00 Hello and welcome to another edition of 5 Things To Do. I hope you're all having a wonderful
00:09 bank holiday weekend, but the fun doesn't stop there. Let's have 5 more things to keep
00:14 you entertained next week.
00:15 Let's first go duck racing at the Wildfile and Wetland Trust in Martinmere, near Bersko.
00:21 Colour in your rubber duck in the craft room and watch it go. The great prize for the winners
00:25 is up for grabs, but it's generally a lot of fun. There's three races on Bank Holiday
00:30 Monday, 6th May at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm. Normal admission prices to the centre apply. Entry
00:37 to the races is £3.50 a duck.
00:41 From ducks to dogs next, as Salisbury Hall near Preston host their Fun Dog Show on May
00:46 6th. Bring your pooches, big or small, for the best fun dog show in Lancashire. From
00:51 fancy dress to dog most like owner, pet stalls and fresh home-cooked food. Make no bones
00:56 about it, it will be a fantastic day. That one is on all day from 10am till 4pm and there
01:02 are events on every half hour throughout.
01:06 Up north next to Rae near Lancaster, known as the Scarecrow Village of Lancashire. Their
01:10 famous Scarecrow Festival has been on since April 27th, but it culminates in the Rae Fair
01:16 on Monday 6th. The theme this year is sci-fi, so enjoy the weird and wonderful creations
01:21 dotted about the village and then to the school field for food, crafts and music. Entry costs
01:26 £10 per vehicle, it includes parking, entrance to the fair and a programme. All proceeds
01:31 go to local charities.
01:34 Let's stay in the north for now because on the 10th and 11th May sees the return of Lancaster's
01:39 Highest Point Festival. The Williamson Park event returns for its sixth outing with a
01:43 headline act from Tom O'Dell and Busted amongst a host of other great acts. The Family Day
01:49 on the Saturday will see a whole park taken over for a full programme of music activities,
01:53 shows and games for the whole family to enjoy. Tickets are available for one or both days,
01:59 but prices do vary so please click through to highestpoint.co.uk to book.
02:05 Lastly it's that time again, the Eurovision Song Contest final is on Saturday 11th May
02:10 and you can join the party at Blackpool Pleasure Beach's Fan Zone. It's billed as the ultimate
02:15 Eurovision extravaganza where you can watch the contest final live on a big screen. A
02:20 larger than life host will lead an outrageous evening filled with laughter, games and all
02:24 things Eurovision. Cheer on your tables country and go head to head with the rest as your
02:28 hosts guide you through the night's entertainment. That's on from 7pm till 1 in the morning and
02:34 it's £20 a ticket. Euro are going to have a hangover on Sunday. Join me next week for
