00:00Hello and welcome to another edition of 5 things to do and we start this week in Blackpool
00:09with one for the kids. Pepper Pig's big day out is on the Graham Theatre with three shows
00:15on Saturday the 15th and three more on the Sunday. Join Pepper along with her friends
00:19and family as they go to the zoo and also the beach for a special party. Packed full
00:25of songs, dance and muddy puddles, Pepper's fun day out guarantees giggles and snorts
00:29for all the Pepper Pig fans and a perfect introduction to theatre. Tickets start at
00:34£14.50.
00:37To Lancaster next and the return of St John's Hospice Moonlight Walk where you can do something
00:41wonderful in memory of someone you love. The Moonlight Walk is a sponsored 15km night time
00:46walk around Lancaster and Morecambe. The route will start and end at St John's Hospice on
00:50Slyne Road. Every walker is issued with a t-shirt which they can personalise in memory
00:55of someone important to them and they ask that each walker tries to raise £50 in sponsorship.
01:01It's on Saturday the 15th of June and the walk starts at 10pm from the Hospice.
01:07Live music in Burnley next as the Mechanics Theatre brings you Lipstick on Your Collar
01:10on June 15th. Step back in time to the golden era of music where the jukebox roared and
01:15the feet didn't touch the floor. Get your dancing shoes at the ready, you are in for
01:19an evening of back to back hits from the 50s and 60s. Performed by a full live band featuring
01:24some of the country's top musicians, this incredible show features excellent vocals,
01:28tight harmonies and an infectious sense of fun. Tickets are £29.
01:35Finally the last two are rolled into one as we welcome the summer of sport with the start
01:39of the Euros. With England being the Bucky's Firm favourites will this be the welcome good
01:43news distraction from the ongoing general election that we all needed.
01:47There are two major fan zones in the North West, one being Preston Flag Market and the
01:52other at Blackpool's Viva Show Bar. In Preston the flag market will be transformed into a
01:56ticket only arena which costs £6 for standing and £60 for a table of six which includes
02:02a drinks pitcher. That one is on Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th from 7pm. Viva and
02:09Blackpool have the England match on the 16th on a 4 metre high screen with half time penalty
02:13shootouts, food, drinks and face painting. Tickets for that one are a fiver.
02:18Don't forget Father's Day on Sunday 16th and join me next time for another 5 things to do. See you next time.
