00:05 Hello, we're back with another edition of 5 Things to Do and it's still very much
00:09 school Easter holidays for some, so there's a little bit of a theme for younger viewers this week.
00:13 First, we're going to treat ourselves to a bit of Shakespeare.
00:16 Not any old Shakespeare, but rubbish Shakespeare.
00:19 Enemies, balconies, kissing and sausage rolls.
00:22 As three idiots perform Shakespeare's famous tragedy,
00:26 using only a box of tatty wigs, a floral dress and a bust airbed they found in the bins.
00:32 Described as a horrible history's bit funnier,
00:35 the beloved rubbish Shakespeare Company returns with an anarchic and joyous family friendly treat.
00:40 It's the perfect introduction to Shakespeare or even theatre itself, which is suitable for all ages.
00:45 There's two shows on Tuesday 9th April at Chorley Theatre and the tickets are priced at £12.
00:51 Next, direct from the West End, the Olivier Award nominated smash hit show,
00:56 The Tiger Who Came to Tea, is on at the Blackpool Grand Theatre for two shows,
01:00 on the 9th and two shows on the 10th April.
01:03 Join the tea guzzling tiger in this delightfully funny show,
01:06 packed with oodles of magic, sing-along songs and clumsy chaos.
01:10 That'll cost you £17 a ticket.
01:13 Over to Burnley now where the Mechanics Theatre are throwing open the doors for a day of free family fun.
01:18 From bangla dancing classes to storytelling performances and even a backstage tour.
01:23 Get yourselves down there and try something new any time between 11 and 3.
01:27 On Monday 8th April, activities will be running on rotation throughout the day
01:31 and better still, it's a completely free event.
01:34 That's something to keep the nice little children quiet, but what about the awful children?
01:39 Well, they're catered for too, courtesy of the UK's favourite Frenchman, Marcel Lucant,
01:44 who channels his acerbic humour and quick-fire wit into a family game show,
01:49 pitting children against adults and each other to try and find the most awful child.
01:54 If you don't have kids, borrow someone else's because this is a treat from beginning to end.
01:59 It's won a tonne of awards and it's a must-see on the 11th April for £10.
02:04 OK, we'll end with something for the parents of all these bored children
02:08 because award-winning comedian Sophie McCartney also ventures into the perilous world of parenthood
02:12 in a rollicking new stand-up show appearing at the King George's Hall in Blackburn on Friday 12th April.
02:18 Best known for her wickedly accurate insights into adulting,
02:21 Sophie thought that by the time she became a proper grown-up, life would be all figured out.
02:25 How wrong she was.
02:27 Find out if she has what it takes to stop her current serial eaters from becoming future serial killers.
02:32 With cult status among knackered parents, she's been dubbed as the Instagram's funniest mum
02:37 and you can catch her for £21.50.
02:40 And then they'll be back to school before you know it.
02:42 Join me next time for another 5 Things To Do.
02:44 But in the meantime, take care and have a great week.
02:47 Thank you.
