00:00 Hello and welcome to the latest guide to 5 things to do, and for all those people who
00:09 work too hard and wonder where the week has gone, let alone the year, you've come to the
00:13 right place. I've had a route around all the listings and event sites and dug out 5 belters
00:18 for you to enjoy next week. And it's comedy first at the King George's Hall in Blackburn
00:22 where Lucy Beaumont will let loose and let slip on her rollercoaster world. An award
00:27 winning stand-up comedian long before she met husband John Richardson, life through
00:31 the Beaumont lens is more surreal than you could ever imagine. The Trouble and Strife
00:36 is the name of the show and you can catch it on Sunday 15th October for £24.
00:43 Music next with Michael Jackson's tribute act Navi who plays the Burnley Mechanics Theatre
00:47 on Friday 13th October. Navi is regarded as the world number one Michael Jackson tribute
00:52 artist and was handpicked by Michael Jackson himself as his official body double. Michael
00:58 also hired Navi to perform at two of his birthday parties where he gave him a standing ovation
01:02 and described his performance as incredible. He's joined by an amazing band of dancers
01:07 and tickets are priced at £26.
01:11 Now off to Blackpool for two very different music performances. The first is the English
01:16 rock band Scouting for Girls who play Blackpool Opera House on Sunday 15th October. Throughout
01:22 their immensely successful career they've sold over 2 million albums, 2 million singles,
01:27 had four Brit Award nominations, four top ten singles. The band seem pretty unstoppable.
01:32 Tickets are £29 and all profits from this show will go to the Cash for Kids charity.
01:37 Now I promise you two, secondly Alfie Bow appears at the Winter Gardens in the same
01:42 town on Friday 13th performing classic songs, fan favourites and more. Following his very
01:48 special evening with at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this month, celebrating 20 years in
01:53 entertainment, the much loved tenor Alfie Bow has announced a nationwide UK tour for
01:58 Autumn 23, including a date at the London Palladium. Alfie Bow has conquered the world's
02:02 most prestigious opera stages and has entertained fans around the globe. From leading the cast
02:08 of Les Miserables, which received a Grammy nomination for best musical theatre album,
02:12 and three sold out solo UK tours, Bow has always strived to bring great music to different
02:17 audiences. There's plenty of ticket prices but they start at £35.
02:23 Lastly it's north to the Duke's Theatre in Lancaster to catch up with the Splash Test
02:27 Dummies with some splish splashing circus set to drown you in tears of laughter. The
02:32 Splash Test Dummies are off on an exciting adventure of oceanic proportions with a brilliant
02:38 array of catch your breath stunt work, dazzling acrobatics, dexterous juggling and side-splitting
02:43 slapstick comedy. The Dummies are ready to roll out their beach towels and spring into
02:48 an exciting hour of circus-filled hilarity for the whole family. It's on Saturday 14th
02:54 at 2pm and tickets are £11. Catch my breath! Bit of bonkers to end there with but hey,
03:01 that's what we like here. Join me next week for another 5 Things To Do but until then
03:04 have a fabulous week and I'll see you next time.
